Avery's POV.
I kept adjusting my training dress till I got tired.
"Don't you think this is too short?" I asked Leilani, who was busy trying to fix her hair in a bun.
The hair is too silky and soft so it's giving her a tough time.
"Huh?" She said looking up.
She seems not to have heard what I said.
"Here...come let me help you."
She protested as usual but I pulled her close and helped her weave her hair and take it up in a tight bun.
"Thank you." She said silently.
"You look pretty, and your dress makes you look like an Amazon." I admired her.
"Oh..thank you. You're more pretty, your hair shines so bright. So sad it's gonna get ruined in training." She said with a sullen face.
"I know right, maybe we should postpone it till next week, I'll be ready then." I said and made a U-turn to go back.
"Stop with the silly excuse, you have to start today." She dragged me back.
I've been eager to start training but I'm nervous now so I've been giving excuses to drop the idea till next week but Leilani won't hear of it.. She's behaving like my mother, a strict one and it's no fun.
The training ground came to view and a guard saw me, he quickly came to me and greeted me.
"Good morning Luna Avery, your third in command is expecting you. Should I call for him or should I lead you to him?" He asked with a bow head.
"Lead me to him." I ordered and we headed straight to his office.
My third in command is in charge of the entire pack warriors training,he's good and I hope to learn a lot under his guidance.
‘Let's hope to do our best and remember; no flirting or joking around.’ Akira warned and I scoffed at her.
She's a pain in the ass, ever since that strange transformation she's been a real pain.
Always complaining about how unfair I am to Xander by getting him all horny and leaving him hanging.
I don't see how that's unfair though, I leave myself hanging as well...no hard feelings.
'Stop being a pervert and concentrate.'She howled at me and I chuckled.
"Luna Avery. Welcome." My third in command greeted me and I smiled.
"Morning, I'm sorry if I'm causing any inconvenience." I apologized and he nodded.
"Come..there's no time to waste, I'll show you my best fighters and you can choose who you'll like to train with." He said and went out of his office, we followed suit.
The training ground was a beehive of different activities.
A bell rang and everyone stopped whatever they're doing.
All eyes were on us, I quickly searched for Xander in the crowd but he was nowhere to be seen.
I was vaguely disappointed.
"Attention everyone!" His voice boomed in the training ground and everyone assembled.
There were different lines and I immediately guessed they were assembled based on their level.
"The Luna of our beloved pack is here amongst us today to start training. She wishes to be a better warrior and a strong Luna for this pack. Every pack always wishes to have a strong leader and I'm proud to have her amongst us." He ended his speech and there was applause and murmur in the training ground.
"Can I say something please?" I seek permission from my thirds in command.
"Of course." He answered.
"I would love it greatly if everyone here treats me as equal, I'm here to train just like most of you and I plan to be better at what I do. I'm always open for suggestions, corrections and complaints. Thank you all for accepting me."
They all bowed. They were dismissed except for those assembled in one line.
"Where's Xander?" I heard my third in command asked one of the men in a hushed tone.
"He's not here sir, he left here a few minutes ago." One of them answered back.
Where had he gone now?
As much as I hate to admit it, I'm eager to meet him.
"Luna, you can join them now...you'll choose your training partner later in the day." He said and I joined the queue.
"Come Leilani, come join me." I said and Leilani gave me a reluctant look but she joined anyway.
"Luna has some basic training, so let's see what she can do. Let's do some warm up, shall we?" He asked in a commanding voice.
"Yes, general!"
I could feel Kira's excitement in me.
"Now get your asses outside and give me 16 laps around the pack house! Let the Luna lead, let's see what she gets." The general said and I could hear some wolves chuckle.
Kira was agitated hearing their chuckles, I can't blame them, they all take me as some little spoiled princess.
I led them outside and Kira shouted in my head, ‘Let's show these little pups how it's done.’
As we began to run, everyone shot past me and I could feel Akira's frustrated groans in my head.
Kira begged to let her take control but I couldn't allow it, with my newly found wolf form, if I allow Kira to take over my human side, I'll run faster than anything but I'm a fan of steady.
On the 15th lap, I drew strength from Kira and whoosh past them, I could hear their surprised gasp and I smirked.
I love giving a lot of people surprise, shocking surprise gives me some form of joy.
The general had a surprised look on his face when he saw me coming in first.
It was at that same time I saw Xander, his face had this zero expression that I can't divulge what he was thinking.
"Impressive, you outrun my boys and you hardly got a sweat in your body. You're a special one." The general commended me and I blushed.
I'm indeed special.
Xander looked at me with admiration but I could swear that on a closer look, he has lust in those naughty eyes of his.
My training clothes would qualify for seduction clothes though my cleavage aren't exposed but my flawless legs and flat stomach were.
Leilani chose them for me, she said it's an important tool and I still don't get it though I never complained.
Leilani came in a few seconds after me and it gave the general more reason to be stunned, he was amazed and proud.
The men came in a minute later, they were a total of six wolves.
They immediately aligned with me and the general had this sheepish smile on his face.
"Xander, go and join them." He ordered him and he complied, still looking at me with one eye.
I wonder what our mate is thinking about Kira.
‘He's probably wondering why you exposed your body in such a way.’ She answered with a huff.
But the cloth isn't that exposing.
‘I know, but he has a problem with it. Just wait and find out later.’ She advised and went silent.
"You have done delightfully well my Luna, you beat my boys without breaking a sweat. It's an improvement." He commended me and I nodded.
"Will you like to choose your training partner now or will you wait and watch their fight?" He asked, peering at me.
I wanted to shout Xander's name but that would be too forwarding so I chose to watch them in combat. I know my mate would win, I have faith in him.
"Ok boys...go get ready to entertain the Luna." He ordered and everyone dispersed.
"Leilani, can you get us some fruits and snacks?"
She nodded and headed out.
The general excused himself and I was glad to be alone at last.
I looked for Xander but he wasn't anywhere to be seen,so I decided to sniff him out.
I followed his scent till I entered the changing room, there was no one around but I could feel his scent was strong in here.
I was deciding to head out because I'm in the male quarter when I heard a heartbeat.
He was in there, u followed his scent and traced him to his personal changing room.
I opened the door, slid in and locked the door.
He was aware of my presence but he ignored me, removed his top and trouser leaving him with only boxers.
Something in me told me to get the fuck out but I couldn't, even Kira purr at his magnificent appearance.
His muscles flexed on his perfectly tanned body.
Instinctively, I reached out and touched him and I could feel the magnificent force that shot through my body.
"You're not supposed to be here Luna Avery." He said coldly and drew his boxers down.
He didn't face me, and I moved closer to hug him to my body.
It feels so good and I moan inaudibly.
"And you're not supposed to be doing that." His voice was cold.
I hugged him tighter to my body.
"And what else am I not supposed to do?" I asked inaudibly but I'm sure he heard me.
He turned around swiftly, holding me close to prevent me from falling.
"And you're not fucking supposed to dress like this!" He almost shouted and held me closer making me feel his arousal.
‘Told ya.’ Kira's voice chipped in my head as I looked at my mates eyes who had nothing but pure lust.
