Chapter 57

Avery's POV.

"Sleeping beauty...wake up or we're gonna get caught." I heard Xander's voice as he kissed my forehead.

He kept trailing kisses on my face till I pried my sleepy eyes open.

"At this point, I don't care." I said drowsy.

I'm so fucking tired, I don't think I'll be able to walk well.

"Hay baby." He called and I stared at his beautiful eyes and smiled.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't get enough of you." He said, scratching his head and I chuckled.

"Me neither. I enjoyed everything so stop feeling so bad, besides I asked for it."

"Yeah, but I wear you out. It would have been cool and best if we're staying together." He said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"We'll be together soon baby, I promise."

"I know, I trust you baby." He said with a kiss and scooped me up on my feet.

I can stand.

Phewewwwww, what a relief.

I took a shower before I went to sleep but I felt like I needed another one.

But that would have to wait till I get into my room.

It's almost six and Leilani would come in by six.

She comes to check on me while I sleep and I sincerely hope that she doesn't come in today.

"I love you baby." Xander muttered and engulfed me in a hug.

I hugged him back, he'd muttered those words all through the night while he made love to me in different parts of the house. I've lost count of orgasms that I had but it was the most exquisite experience I've ever had.

"Time to go." He announced and he drew me back from the hug reluctantly.

I was missing him already.

"I'm missing you already."He said and I smiled, kissing his lips.

"Enough now or I'll have you on all fours again." He threatened jokingly and I immediately stopped.

Remembering how he'd hit me from behind was enough to make color crept to my cheeks.

I was a moaning mess.

"Snap out of it!" He interrupted my thoughts and I laughed running off.

"Should I escort you?"

"No. I know my ways around, I used to wander in places like this and even if I get lost, I trust my sense of smell and sound. Don't worry about me, it would be less suspicious if we're not seeing together." I shouted and found my way out.

My lady V was still sore but I can manage, getting home before Leilani would come to find me is my priority right now.

I shifted and rushed towards the palace.

The run home was a bit long, Xander's house is in a reserve area.

The house is almost merging with nature and I love it.

How did Xander manage to take me from my room and into a far place like this.

I'll definitely find out later.

Kira was super excited and I felt her energy running through me.

How beautiful is finding the right mate who loves you?

I crept through the open window and slid into my bed, grateful that Leilani wasn't around yet.

I slept off naked immediately my head touched the pillow.

Erik's POV.

"You don't understand what I'm trying to say mom, Avery's wolf form was gigantic, too big for a female wolf." I explained to my mom who doesn't seem to comprehend what I'm saying.

"And so?" She asked with an unamused face.

"Her wolf wasn't supposed to be that big"

"C'mon son, it doesn't matter what she or her wolf looks like. What matters is the fact that you need to attain that girl and rule this pack. I don't know why you're allowing such petty things to disturb you." She explained and I rolled my eyes.

My mom would never take me seriously about such things.

I had hoped to fight Xander and win so I'll become her training partner. My mother even went as far as making me strong with supernatural powers but I allowed my anger to cloud me leading to me shifting.

I'll have committed murder if not for Avery's intervention, her wolf was so huge that I was filled with fear.

How can her wolf be so fucking big?

She was bold and furious at me for injuring Xander and I felt furious thinking that she felt something for Xander but she cleared my misconception later on when she stated her reasons for doing so but I still couldn't believe everything she'd said.

The way she defended Xander was something out of the ordinary.

When I was asked to apologize to him, I wanted to kill every elder that voted to such a demeaning any way.

But I don't have such powers yet, I need to find favors in the eyes of the elders and that of Avery.

I can't ruin everything because of that low life called Xander.

So I chose the throne over my self respect.

I can get back my self respect later but once I lose the throne, that's gonna be the end of it all.

I don't wish to speak to Shannon about anything, she would exaggerate things which might not be good for us now.

"Stop worrying son, everything will be alright soon.." My mother assured me and I nodded.

"And don't say a word about this to Shannon, especially the new wolf part, she might not take it lightly."She cautioned me and I gave a wry smile.

"Good night mom, I'm extremely tired right now." I announced and stepped out of her fetish room.

I'm still worried about the whole darn issue despite trying hard to take it out of my mind....

I slid open my door and the Almighty Shannon was waiting for me in my room, pacing up and down.

Here we go again.

"Shannon darling, I wasn't expecting you tonight."

She rushed to me and started searching me, "what's this for?" I asked in awe.

"Why the hell did you go and fight Xander and what am I hearing about Avery's wolf? How huge was it?"

"I went to fight because I was thinking it would be a good way to get closer to Avery and don't believe too much in gossip, there was a slight change in her wolf but it wasn't that much." I answered with a tired voice and headed to my bed.

I'm so tired.

"You call this slight change?" She asked, poking her phone into my face.

Oh, phones.

Those silly creatures got a phone, how did I forget it?

"Fine but I didn't take it as anything you know." I said trying hard to feign loss of interest.

"This is a huge issue Erik, Avery's wolf isn't supposed to be so huge and you know it. There's something wrong, have you spoken with your mom about the whole issue?" She asked with seriousness.

"No, not yet. She's busy currently. I'll speak to her tomorrow about everything, I promise. Now can I go to sleep? I'm so tired." I replied with a yawn.

"You need to speak to her so she'll do something about this, I'm pretty worried."

"I sure will, are you spending the night?" I asked, my eyes walking up and down her body.

"No. You're tired, you need to rest." She said with a note of finality.

Shannon can be stingy with her body when she wishes to.

"Fine. Good night my love, sleep sweet my luna." I said and opened my arms for a hug.

She walked in reluctantly and I kissed her lightly.

As she walked out of my room, I tried not to think of anything and slept peacefully.

I have Avery in mind and I also want her maid.

I'll do almost anything to have those two at the same time.

They are both tormenting my dream.

Avery's POV.

"Good afternoon Luna Avery." Leilani's voice sends a beautiful sensation throughout my body.

I lazily pried my eyes open.

"Good morning, Leilani." I replied with a yawn and stretched getting up.

Clothes???

How did I get into my pajamas?

I looked at Leilani who was all smiles at my confused face.

"It's afternoon, Luna and not morning." She corrected and I opened my mouth in surprise.

"WTF! Did I sleep that long?"

"Oh yeah, now undress. I'm gonna bathe you and I'm not taking no for an answer." She said with firmness.

"You should know by now what my answer would be in such aspects, I don't want to do it, I don't fall for the idea of getting a bath. I can bathe by myself."

Xander had bathed me and made love to me in the bathroom and it was exquisite but having Leilani bath me isn't really ok by me though there is nothing wrong with it.

"You reek of sex and his smell is all over you." She said and I almost thought I didn't hear what she said.

"Huh!" I asked in surprise with my eyes almost pumping out of my eyes.

"Yeah. I know you didn't spend the night here due to your heat period and your mate came to pick you up from here last night plus you need a bath right now." She said and dragged me into the bathroom.

Silence.

"You need to get his scent off you or other wolves would smell it on you and you should know how dangerous that can be since you're going to meet him in secret for reasons best known to you. Don't worry, your secrets are saved with me."

Questions were rolling in my head and I just allowed her to drag me to the bathroom.

"I made this oil to get rid of the smells on you. Don't worry, we'll talk whenever you want." She ended and I stepped into the bathtub.

My bathroom scent of the exotic scents she's using on me.

It's surprising how the bath oil refreshes me and gives me energy I can't even explain.

I began to debate on the best way to approach Leilani about the whole thing.

The moon goddess told me to be careful about who I trust but I trust Leilani so much.

‘I trust her too. She's nice and those oils she's using are so great, so refreshing.’ Kira's voice interrupted my thoughts.

‘Yeah, I trust her too but I'll be careful about what I tell her.’

I concluded and Kira agreed with me.
