Avery's POV.

Erik's hand ran through my body and I shivered when his hands landed on my boobs.

"Erik..." I called, clearly not prepared for this.

"Yes baby..do you need anything?" He asked, his mouth on my neck.

He trailed his wet tongue on the sensitive lines of my neck and I gasped.

I wished to push him away but I'm helpless, I'll have to play along till the medicine takes effect.

If that doesn't happen, I'll have to go with the second choice.

His fingers began to strike my nipples and I moaned.

The sound I made seemed to turn him on as he carried me bridal style and headed towards the bed.

This isn't right?

I screamed in my head as I lay on the bed.

His eyes were pure lust and I stared at him as he undressed in a speed of lightning.

I was already getting suffocated in his kiss that I pulled away and began gasping for air.

Suddenly, he slumped onto me and I winced in pain because of the sudden fall.

I hope it's the medicine working its magic.

"I'm sorry,let me get you a glass of water." I suggested standing up but he drew back.

"Don't stress, I'm fine baby." He said in a weak voice.

"So how are you feeling?" I asked getting on top of him.

"I feel..feel uhmmm, I feel light headed." He stuttered and my guess was confirmed.

The medicine was working just fine.

"Sorry baby." I said and kissed him on the lips,he responded weakly to the kisses.

"I've been longing for this moment for a long time." He said drowsily and chuckled.

"Me too baby but Shannon came in the way." I encouraged him by caressing his chest.

"Shannon wanted the same thing so she wasn't a hindrance." He said and chuckled again.

"Wow, she never told me." I said with a gasp.

"Hehehe, why would she? She tried to get us close on several occasions but her plan always flopped and I swear on my mother, she was angry and mad at you for flopping her plans." He continued giving a throaty laughter.

"How did I flop her plans? I've always followed her orders every fucking time, I love her and I don't want her to feel unloved by anyone or me because she's adopted."

"You probably didn't try enough because she hates you to the extent that she don't mind you dead." He said and gave a drinking laugh.

"That's crazy and unheard of, Shannon would never wish me harm." I defended and waved it away.

"She loved me as much as I loved her." I added and Erik laughed at me.

He laughed so hard and loud that I was afraid that Shannon shouldn't hear his animalistic laughter.

"You're so naive and stupid baby, that's why you think Shannon loves you." He confessed and I stared at him with a surprise expression.

"You're such an easy target and Shannon is using the love you have for her as a tool to trap you in her trap and look at you, you fall right into it..isn't that amusingly cool." He added with laughter and I nodded with sadness written all over my face.

I don't know why I'm feeling bad despite the fact that I know everything he's already telling.

I feel betrayed, my inside is ranging as if there's a volcano heating up inside me.

How dare she?

How could she be so cruel and greedy?

I've given her nothing but love, my parents loved her and treated her like their own and what has she decided is the best way to pay them back?

She decided to get me killed and take my title as Luna.

She'd decided to pay good with immense evil.

How could she have the heart to think of the death of another being all because of power.

Had she asked me for my life or position, I'd have laid it down for her happily but her ways are wrong and her heart is corrupted.

"Are you okay Avery?" Erik asked, grabbing me for a kiss.

He ravaged my lips but I was too numb to even respond forcefully.

He drew back from the kiss and looked at me.

"Don't be too sad, let's enjoy the moment." He said and laughed.

The bloody murder is fully affected by the herbs..perhaps I should ask more direct question to save time.

"Why did Shannon choose you to play me, she could have chosen any random guy?" I asked him and it earned me another laugh.

"We don't want to compromise our mission Avery. I am your second in command which would make it easy for the elders to approve of me, we don't want to risk our mission by involving a third party, also we figured that you liked me and us dating would be a piece of cake plussss..." He paused and looked at me playfully.

"Plus what?" I asked desperately, remembering Leilani's warning about the medicine wearing off any time.

"Plus the fact that she's my mate." He replied casually.

"What!??" I nearly screamed but I tried to calm down.

Shannon had gotten her mate and no one knew about it.

To make things more annoying, she's using her mate to play some dirty games with me.

Interesting, very interesting.

"Surprised right?"He asked and chuckled at me.

"Of course I am, I never knew she was your mate and I don't think anyone would know right?" I asked and my question earned me another laughter.

The medicine seems to have turned him into a laughing machine.

"Oh Avery, you're so naive." He said with another round of laughter.
