"Are you ready for the final injection?" Doctor Romar’s voice was smooth and clam.
"Yes, Doctor. I’m ready," Frey replied.
He stood up. Beside him, Rika rose. She stayed close, her shoulder brushing against Frey’s arm, her eyes never leaving his face. It was the look of a devoted sister. They both started to walk outside the room and following Doctor Romar.
They walked down the silent, sterile hallway. When they reached the intersection, a group of nurses stepped forward.
"Mr. Frey, please follow The Nurse to the East Wing," Romar said, adjusting his glasses and the smile. "The injection room for male and female physiology must be conducted in separate place. Rika will come with me to the other side."
Frey smiled at her sister and cares his sister. "Alright. Don't be long, Rika."
"Hehe, You too brother."
And then, they walk to the each side. Frey was led to a room filled with humming monitors and soft blue lights. He was given a high-dose vitamin injection and just that, he can walk out of the dook go back to his room.
But, in Another place. Inside the Chief Medical Officer’s suite, the atmosphere was suffocating.
After just entering the room, Rika didn't wait for Romar. She simply walked to the large mahogany desk and sit into the leather chair, spinning it slowly to face the doctor. The innocent girl was gone.
In her place sat the Witch of Catastrophe, her aura cold enough to frost the windows.
"The serum narrative is stable, my Lady," Romar whispered, falling to his knees. "The world believes in the miracle. Frey... Frey believes in me."
Rika leaned forward, her violet eyes glowing with a terrifying intensity.
"You have played your part, little human. For that, you get to keep your life." She snapped her fingers, and a black, oily smoke hissed as it was pulled from Romar’s shadow, dissolving into nothingness.
"The curse on your bloodline is gone. And the formula I gave you... Once you starting to produce it, it will make you a God of Medicine in this world soon."
She smirked. "But 50% of the harvest belongs to me. And remember, Romar... I don't need to lift my hand to end you. One thought, and I will erase your soul from existence. Do we have an understanding?"
"I am yours, my Lady. Body and soul," Romar gasped, bowing his head to the floor with trembling body.
In just a short moment, her mind already racing back to Frey. "Soon, Brother. Soon, I will have enough wealth to make our own castle."
"Then... H-how about the curse to my ... My family?"
Rika narrowed her eyes. "Ah right, I forgot about that."
She slowly raised her right hand, her mind reached for the threads of the Curse of Catastrophe she had woven into Romar’s Wife and children lineage. She could feel the dark pulse of the curse.
With a single snap from her hand, "Thare, it's gone."
"T-thank you so much my lady, this humble servant will serve you with so much gratitude."
Rika looks like she didn't care and said, "Whatever."
After that brief moment, Suddenly a circle crack in the air formed just right beside Romar, the crack broken and a portal form, and from there someone step out and immediately bow down.
"I'm here my queen," she said.
The person step out from the portal was part of Rika's clone to maintain the stability of her own "Kingdom" in the another world.
"T-then, I ... I'll take my leave my lady," Romar said with a trembling voice while looking at Rika. Rika simply waved her hand to answer Rowan. With that, he stepped out of the room.
In the other side, Rika look again at her clone, "Give me your report now."
"I understand."
Her clone than stand up and make a hologram table in the air using magic and start explaining.

20 minute later~
Rika walked down the hospital corridor, her footsteps light and rhythmic. She was already practicing the words she would say to Frey, her heart fluttering at the thought of having him all to herself again. A sweet, innocent smile played on her lips ... until she reached the door.
From inside, a cacophony of laughter and overlapping voices reached her ears. Rika paused, her hand hovering over the cold metal handle. Her initial confusion softened for a fleeting second.
"I suppose... it's good that Brother has loyal friends," she thought, a rare spark of genuine gratitude flickering in her mind.
But the moment she pushed the door open, that spark was snuffed out by an icy, suffocating darkness.
The room was packed. Anton, Fin, and Teru were crowding the right side of the bed, their voices loud and boisterous. But Rika’s gaze didn't linger on them.
Her eyes focus on the other side, Luna and Maya were organizing a massive tower of fruit baskets, while Hana was laughing at something Aira said. Aira herself was sitting calmly at the foot of the bed, her black hair cascading perfectly over her shoulders.
Aira tilted her head, noticing Rika’s arrival. Instead of looking away, she pulled her lips into a slow, provocative smirk. Her eyes shimmered with a knowing glint, a silent challenge that only Rika could translate.
"Rika? Is something wrong? Why are you just standing there?" Frey’s voice broke the heavy silence that only the two girls could feel.
Rika’s face blossomed into a radiant, worried smile as she hurried toward the bed. "Ah, it’s nothing, Brother! I was just... so surprised to see how many people here," she said, her voice a perfect pitch of sweetness.
Without waiting for an invitation, Rika climbed onto the edge of the bed and wrapped her arms tightly around Frey’s waist. ВShe buried her face in his chest, inhaling his scent, a scent that she had traveled across worlds to find again. She made sure her touch was lingering, possessive, and unmistakably intimate.
Frey chuckled, his hand instinctively coming up to stroke Rika’s hair.
"Hey, hey, I'm right here. You're acting like I’ve been gone for years."
"Because every second feels like a year when you're not with me, Brother," Rika murmured, her voice muffled against his shirt. She leaned back just enough to look up at him with wide, watery eyes, seeking his full attention. Frey smiled softly, while he cares her head.
"Man, Frey, your sister really adores you, doesn't she?" Anton commented, "I wish my siblings were even half that sweet."
"She’s not always like this before, I don't know why she really adore me now," Frey replied while remembering one of his memories.
Slowly, Rika turned her head toward Aira. Her eyes were no longer sweet. She flashed a predatory smirk, a direct retaliation for the intimacy Aira had shared with Frey at the carnival. "Look at this," Rika’s gaze provoking Aira. "I can touch him. I can hold him. He is mine in ways you will never understand."
Aira’s hand tightened on the fruit knife she was holding. Her smirk vanished, replaced by a flicker of genuine, burning jealousy that darkened her eyes. The atmosphere between them was like a bowstring pulled to its breaking point.
"Aira? You okay?" Hana asked.
Instantly, the tension snapped. Aira’s expression smoothed over into a graceful, elegant mask of calm. She laughed softly, a melodic sound that betrayed none of her inner turmoil.
"Oh, I’m fine, Hana! I was just thinking about how incredible the medical world is. I mean, look at Frey."
Suddenly, Anton stood up and grabbed Frey’s chin, turning his head left and right like he was inspecting a car. "But seriously, Aira is right, we need to talk about this, right? Look at this jawline! Bro, you went from 'rugged' to 'main character' in two weeks. What kind of black magic did that doctor use?"
"Get your hands off me, Anton!" Frey respond, slapping his hand away.
"No, for real," Fin joined in. "I’m looking at you and I’m starting to feel insecure about my own face. You look like you just walked off a K-Drama set. If you walk into a club now, we’re all going to be invisible wingmen."
"I agree," Teru chimed in, pointing his phone camera at Frey. "I should take a photo and start an Instagram fan page for you. We’d be rich by tomorrow. Look at that skin, it's smoother than my future."
"Cut it out, guys," Frey said, blushing and laughing at the typical brotherhood teasing. "I’m still the same guy who failed math twice, remember?"
"Yeah, but now you’re the *Hot Guy* who failed math twice," Anton retorted, making the whole room erupt in laughter.
Rika watched them, her arms still locked around Frey. She let out a small, triumphant giggle, looking at Aira one more time. "Go ahead, admire him from afar," she thought.
As the laughter from the boys' teasing began to settle, Fin stepped forward, his playful expression vanishing. He looked down at his own chest, then back at Frey, his eyes shimmering with a raw, heavy emotion that silenced the rest of the room.
"Jokes aside, everyone..." Fin started, his voice thick. He placed a hand on Frey’s shoulder, his grip firm.
"I shouldn't even be standing here. When that glass shard hit me, I felt my life draining out. It was cold, and I was terrified. But then I felt someone grab me. I saw Frey, covered in blood and burns, looking like he was walking through hell itself, and he didn't even hesitate."
Fin took a shaky breath, looking Frey straight in the eye.
"Bro, you could have run. You should have run. But you stayed. You carried me through that fire when your own blood was Flow out of your body. I owe you my life, Frey. 'Thank you' doesn't even cover it. I'm just... I'm so damn glad you're okay."
The room went quiet for a moment, the weight of his words sinking in. Even the girls looked moved, the reality of the tragedy hitting home once more.
Frey looked at his friend, a humble smile tugging at his lips. "You would have done the same of it ware me, Fin. I know it. We're brothers. Don't mention it."
Rika, still clinging to Frey, tightened her hold.
Hana broke the silence, wiping a small tear from her eye. "And me too, thanks so much for saving Fin. You're too brave for your own good, Frey." She turned the conversation back to the girls' side.
"But seriously, how are you actually feeling? I mean... mentally. That night was a nightmare. We were all so worried when we heard you were right in the blast zone."
Maya nodded, clutching her handkerchief. "I still have nightmares about the sound. Teru and I were near the game booths, and I thought the sky was falling. To think you were carrying Fin through all that... it’s a miracle."
"It really is," Luna added. "The news calls it the 'Zone of Silence.' They say for ten minutes, nothing made a sound. Did you feel that too, Frey?"
Frey shook his head slowly. "I think I was already losing consciousness when that happens. Everything just went black."
Aira, who had been watching the exchange with an unreadable expression, finally spoke. Her voice was calm, cutting through the chatter. "Physical scars can be healed by any medicine, but the heart needs someone constant to lean on," she said, her red-tinted gaze locking onto Frey's. "I’m just glad I can be here to see you stand again, Frey. I want to be part of the reason you feel safe again."
"Damn, that's smooth Aira," Maya responded while slightly nudge her playfully.
Then, Luna get close to Aira and whisper to her ear, "As far as I know, Frey still single until now, don't miss your change," said Luna afte rthat blinking at her.
Rika felt a surge of bile at Aira’s bold move. She pressed her cheek against Frey’s shoulder, her voice sweet yet sharp. "Brother has me for that."
Hana laughed nervously, sens
ing the sudden change in the room. "Well, with a sister like Rika and friends like us, you'll be back to your old self in no time ... just with a much better face!"
