Chapter 31

It had been a whole day since the fight the girls had with Akirexer. Maradina lay sleeping soundly in her bed. Bruce had performed a special healing ritual so as to replenish her gamarax without her having to go out and feed. It involved him transferring his gamarax into her and making sure no other gamarax interfered with the transfer.

Bruce did this by placing his hand on her forehead and giving her what he had. In order to prevent other gamarax from interfering with the transfer process, he stopped everyone else from going into the room.

Sana and Sanuika were feeling so worried about Maradina that they couldn't function properly anymore. To them, everything felt so stale without her around. They sat in the living room watching TV with Daisy but it couldn't take their minds off Maradina. Josh snoring loudly on the couch with a pornographic magazine covering his face didn't distract them either.

"I never expected to see her here on Earth." Sanuika voiced out after she suddenly thought of Akirexer.

"Are you talking about that chick you fought last night?" Waxx joined everyone with a large bowl of popcorns. Daisy took it from him and began eating.

"Yes I am." Sanuika answered and took the popcorn bowl away from Daisy.

"You mean you know her?" Waxx narrowed his eyes at Sanuika.

Sana rubbed her nose and said, "We met her in Dark Star. She was one of the first to taste our soup. We parted ways when Sir Wadose came to pick her up."

Waxx gasped at her answer. "She knows Sir Wadose?"

Sanuika held her chin and added, "Yes and if I remember correctly, he told her that her highness wanted to see her."

"Oh my goodness she knows the Queen too? She is living the life." Waxx laughed softly and Josh groaned from underneath his magazine.

"Damn it Waxx." he sat up with puffy eyes. "Don't tell me that you still have a crush on Queen Sharaina."

"Why wouldn't I? She is beautiful and an amazing warrior not forgetting one of the greatest leaders Dark Star has ever had." Waxx's eyes beamed with excitement."

"She is way out of your league." Josh snarled at him and tossed his magazine on the table.

"Like you would stand a better chance." Waxx retorted and snorted. "Anyway, that mysterious woman is a threat to our mission therefore we have to eliminate her."

Akirexer laid on a bed in a motel with a lit cigarette in her mouth. Wearing nothing but her lingerie, she looked at the ceiling fan as it spun so slowly. Her shoulder still hurt but at least she was able to give herself first aid because the motel room had a first aid kit.

Thanks to those girls I have lost track of Danny. I must find him soon.

Akirexer got up, put out her cigarette and headed for the bathroom. She washed her face in the sink and looked at her reflection. For a moment she missed her sparkly light brown eyes. She, however, did not miss her brown hair because she absolutely adored her new maroon hair.

Akirexer took off her lingerie and got into the shower. The water was cold and soothing. It poured down her naked body while she massaged herself. She faced the shower tap with her eyes closed and felt the water rain on her face, to her neck and then to her breasts.

Having had enough of the water in her face, she faced down with her eyes still closed and felt the water pour down her back. Her bandage got wet so she removed it and held her wound. A little of her blood mixed with the water below and went down the drain.

Maradina opened her eyes and knew immediately that she was back in her room. She slowly sat up and felt her aching head. She remembered how her dragon drained her and felt lucky that she didn't fall into hibernation.

Maradina looked around the room and realized that she was all alone. She wondered where Sana and Sanuika were. The door suddenly opened and Bruce stepped in. He halted and hastily faced away.

Maradina wondered why but when she looked at herself for the first time, she realized that she was completely naked. Her face turned red with embarrassment. She quickly pulled the duvet over her body.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude. I just came here to check on you." Bruce sincerely apologized with his gaze down. "I'll inform the twins that you are awake." he closed the door behind him.

Bruce wiped his face with his hands, feeling rather stupid for not knocking. As he got down the stairs, he noticed that the twins were looking at him with eyes full of questions. He smiled at them with his eyes closed.

"She is awake now. You may go and see her." he cheerfully said to them.

The two ran up the stairs and went straight to their room. They found Maradina wrapped in a bedsheet and they pounced on her laughing merrily. Waxx heard their chuckles and he smiled. He walked passed their room and got into his. He needed some time alone to think about their next strategy now that Danny was M. I. A.

Ten vampires, five on each end, lined up in a big poorly lit room. Among the vampires were Ezio, Sean and Dr Spencer. They all lined beside a one sitter couch that was facing the wall. Smoke could be seen floating above the couch.

On the line to the right was Ezio. His fresh tattoo of the letter A under his right eye made him feel somewhat uncomfortable. The Great One had decided to rank them according to their strength.

Standing next to Ezio was a red head biker gang leader. He had the letter B. Following him was Sean with the letter C. He whistled a tune to himself and it irritated a female vampire with the letter D. She was a four feet tall skinny vampire.

On her head was a diamond crown that went well with her glittery pink short and flared dress. Her pink hair was tied in pig tails. She gritted her teeth at Sean who whistled even louder after realizing that it was irritating her.

"You are so fucking annoying. One of these days I will kill you." she threatened Sean hatefully.

"I'd honestly like to see you try." Sean coyly replied and Nadia faced away with a growl.

Dr Spencer grinned at the both of them. He touched his tattoo of the letter E and smiled to himself. An elderly short Asian man stood opposite Ezio. He had the letter F. He stood there ignoring everyone. Bearing the letter G was a blonde teenage girl. Like most teenagers, she was too busy texting on her phone to give her attention to those around her.

A huge bald African man stood after her. He was spying on what she was texting. He shook his head and faced away in disgust. He had the letter H that was tattooed on his cheek instead of under his eye like the rest because of his facial scars.

Lazily squatting down was a middle aged Indian man. He had the letter I. Looking down at him was an albino tall and skinny vampire. He had the letter J.

Danny suddenly burst into the room breathing heavily. He ran across the room and dropped to his knees and bowed before the back of the couch. The vampires were puzzled that he interrupted their meeting. The African vampire angrily grabbed him by the neck.

"What an insolent human!" he growled with impatience. "How dare you disrespect our Great One by interrupting a meeting of the Day Walkers?" he squeezed Danny's neck.

"Put him down Bolt. I'm curious to know what he has to say. I'm pretty sure our Great One is too." the biker vampire ordered him.

Bolt dropped Danny like a sack of sand. He clenched his jaw as he watched Danny cough.

"Tell us human, what brings you here?" the biker vampire asked him.

"Forgive me for disturbing your meeting Wayne. I am in trouble and my brothers are dead." Danny humbly explained with his head low.

"Why should that concern us?" Wayne asked him in a somewhat bored tone.

"Well, my brothers were not killed by humans but by the woman the Great One ordered us to kill a year ago. She is back and worse she is a darkas god now!" Billy exclaimed.

Jaws dropped and tensed silence took over. The vampires stole a look at the couch and shifted their tensed eyes back to Danny who couldn't stop trembling before them.

Bolt slapped Danny hard and he was forced to his side on the floor. "Why didn't you tell us of this earlier?" he angrily asked him.

"Please forgive me. If I had known earlier, I would have told you." Danny pleaded with him.

"I knew things were going to get interesting." Dr Spencer chuckled to himself.

The albino vampire leaned closer to the Indian vampire and whispered, "Seriously Fahran, I never know what is going through the mind of this mad scientist."

"Me neither Leonardo." Fahran responded.

"She is back for revenge." Danny emphasized it the annoyance of Bolt who forced his boot into his chest.

Suddenly a soft but chilling chuckle was heard from behind the couch. A hand was seen pressing a button and the floor beneath the couch began to slowly turn the couch around. Sitting on it with naked legs crossed was a female vampire. Her face was down as she puffed out smoke. Hanging on her neck was the Infinite Medallion. She slowly lifted her head to the light and her face could clearly be seen.

"It appears my dear sweet sister did not die after all." she remarked with an evil grin.
