Chapter 39
Nadia pounced on Akirexer and started strangling her. Akirexer tried to get her off but she was feeling too weak due to her low gamarax levels. Nadia was singing a twisted nursery hymn.
Twinkle twinkle little star
How I really hate you slut
Gonna rip out your fucking head.
Then I'll play kickball with it.
When Akirexer thought that all hope was lost, Nadia was hit with a basketball at the back of her head. She loosened her grip on Akirexer and scowled at Mason who fearfully stood at the doorway.
"You stupid little shit! I thought I told you to get lost!" She screamed at him.
Akirexer took this chance and punched Nadia hard in the face that she fell to the floor. Akirexer got off the bed and grabbed Mason. She carried him in her arms as she made her way downstairs. She was about to open the door when a flying axe hit it. Akirexer turned around and saw Nadia hyperventilating in anger.
"You shouldn't have done that." She grimly threatened.
Nadia threw another axe and Akirexer dodged it as she ran into the kitchen. Mason was crying profusely in her arms as she looked for a place to hide him. Akirexer knelt down behind the counter and held Mason on his shoulders.
"Do not cry." She wiped his tears. "I will not let anything happen to you. Stay here and don't show yourself no matter what you hear."
Mason's nodded his head with uncertainty at her words. The kitchen door burst open and Nadia threw an axe at the cup board shattering everything that was in it. Akirexer covered Mason's mouth and he screamed in her palm.
Akirexer let go of him and shook her head with her finger on her lips. She then proceeded to pick up a broken glass and threw it at Nadia. Nadia slapped the glass away and it broke into tiny particles. Akirexer showed herself to Nadia and she was met with another axe. Akirexer round kicked it away and burst out through the kitchen window.
As she ran, she saw an old woman getting into a light blue Mini Cooper.
"Get out of the car!" She yelled after the old woman and she hesitated. She picked up her phone and started to dial 911.
Akirexer saw Nadia come out the window from the corner of her eye and completely lost patience with the old woman talking on the phone. She punched the window shattering it and the old woman ran out screaming. Akirexer got in and drove off. In her confusion, the old woman turned to Nadia.
"You are not getting away from me that easy." Nadia grinned.
From her apron she pulled out ten clay dog toys. She threw them on the ground and they grew into 10 foot Rottweilers. They growled and sniffed. Upon seeing them, the old woman turned pale with fear and fainted on the sidewalk. The neighbourhood's paperboy abandoned his bike and ran away screaming.
"Go after her and kill her." Nadia ordered them and they raced off after Akirexer.
Nadia took out a toy cloud, threw it on the ground and it morphed into a huge cloud. She got onto it and it rose up in the air until it was high enough for her to see everything. She grinned at the sight of her dogs catching up to the mini cooper.
The dogs violently hit against cars that were driving into the neighborhood. Children buying ice cream in the street fled shrieking in terror. In a frantic hurry to get away, the ice cream man ended up hitting into an apartment and the van burst into flames setting the house ablaze.
The dogs were barking so loudly that they shattered glass of house windows, doors and car windscreens and windows. Akirexer tried so hard not to lose focus despite the sudden burst of the cooper's windows.
A father with his two-year-old daughter in his hands ran across the road. Akirexer hit the brakes suddenly and the car twirled around. She hit into a tree and the car went off. Akirexer felt her blood trickle down her face as she held her aching head. She struggled to get out of the car, and she fell down. She crawled her way through the lawn and the dogs landed around her. Each was growling as they circled around her.
"It is over." Nadia got off her cloud and it disappeared.
She took out a tiny axe and threw it up in the air. It turned into a big one before she caught it again. She began to swing it from side to side with a smirk plastered across her face.
"Any last words?" She asked Akirexer.
"Yeah... go knock your teeth out."
Nadia laughed at her response. "I see you are the type that still remains calm even in the face of death. I respect and admire that. It almost makes me not want to kill you...well almost."
Nadia threw her axe at Akirexer and she covered her face. Akirexer uncovered her face when she realized that she wasn't hit. Her face brightened when she saw who saved her.
Standing before her with her back turned was a woman Akirexer was so familiar with. The wind blew her golden hair and in her hand was Nadia's axe. Nadia gritted her teeth and her dogs whimpered.
"My queen!" Akirexer exclaimed.
Sharaina yawned. "You know I was just about to take a well deserved nap." She complained without taking her eyes off Nadia.
"I am sorry. I drained all my gamarax in my last fight and I haven't gotten the chance to feed."
"Excuses and excuses." Sharaina lazily answered.
"Who are you?" Nadia asked Sharaina suspiciously.
Sharaina chuckled at her supposed ignorance. "She doesn't seem to know who I am. Should I give her a demonstration?" she asked Akirexer.
"We both know that you always get what you want either way."
"I love how you get me."
