Chapter 47

"Too busy for your wife?" Melonina yelled at Waxx.

At this point Waxx stood up and went to her with his hands spread apart. "Please forgive me my love. You know that things between us are complicated." Waxx brought his arms close to hug her but he was met with another slap across the face. "Ouch!" He exclaimed in pain.

"I want a divorce! It's been three years since we had sex and you don't even seem bothered. Which whore has been warming your bed?"

Melonina raised her hand to slap Waxx again but he held it and pulled her waist towards himself until he felt her big breasts on his chest. He gazed into her eyes and she blushed. Waxx drew closer to kiss her but he was sent down with a head butt. As he fell, he took Melonina with him.

He rolled over and forced her underneath him. He positioned himself between her legs as she struggled to get him off her. Before Melonina knew it Waxx tongue was already in her mouth. She tried to resist him but his lips thrusting against hers made her moan. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back.

Waxx slowly slid his hand on her naked thigh and got a handful of her bum. He traced his way down her neck with his tongue as Melonina's moans got intense. He shifted his hand to her breast and gave it a squeeze. Melonina held his face and the two locked their lips with another kiss. Melonina sank her nails into his back as the passionate kiss knocked the air out of her lungs.

"Wow no wonder you didn't show up for my training session." Akirexer's voice suddenly sounded and startled the couple.

Waxx got off Melonina in a haste. His attempts to hide his bump were palpable. Melonina sat up with her back turned to Akirexer. She silently fastened her bra.

"Akirexer, what are you doing here?" Waxx angrily asked Akirexer.

"I have been waiting for you all morning but you didn't show up. You told me that we were going to start training at the break of dawn and it is past 11:00. I'm pissed!"

Waxx scratched his head with a confused look on his face. "Wait, we were supposed to start today?"

Akirexer rolled her eyes at Waxx's question. She was about to leave when Melonina got up and turned to face her. Akirexer gasped upon recognizing her.

"Vice commander, what are you doing here?" Akirexer asked her.

"I came here to see you and..." Melonina sighed. "my husband." she reluctantly pointed at Waxx.

"Your husband?" Akirexer's jaw dropped. "You mean to tell me that Waxx is your husband? The punk ass who left for Earth soon after your wedding?"

"Hey!" Waxx complained.

"Shut up!" Melonina yelled back at him. "Isn't that what you did?" She asked him but he just shrugged his shoulders with a smirk.

"I can't believe this." Akirexer laughed. She took a look at Waxx and shook her head in disappointment. "Now I completely understand why you complained about your love life."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Waxx asked Akirexer.

Melonina pulled his ear. "You know exactly what she means. You're a piece of work. On one hand you forget to communicate with your wife and on the other you forget that Queen Sharaina gave you orders to train Akirexer. I am definitely getting a divorce!"

"Aw come on don't be like that." Waxx begged Melonina.

Melonina leg go of his ear and got hold of Akirexer's hand instead. "Come on, we need to catch up."

Waxx watched both women walk away laughing merrily. He put his hands in his pockets and shook his head at them with a wide smile across his face.

Arriving at the royal castle of Dark Star were the Enchanted 7. They each made their way to the royal board room where Queen Sharaina was to address them. Prior to the meeting, they were briefed by Commander Diavinx about the current events pertaining the Infinite Medallion. They, therefore, had reason to believe that Sharaina had significant information to tell them concerning their search for the medallion.

The Enchanted 7 got into the board room in an orderly manner. They each took their seats and silently waited for Sharaina. The echoing sound of her high heeled boots prompted them to get off their seats and bow their heads as she made her way to her throne. As soon as she was seated, they all sat back down.

"My Enchanted 7, I greet you all." Sharaina said and they bowed their heads in respect. "I have news concerning the Infinite Medallion." Sharaina paused. "Not so long ago the Council of Elders predicted a war against us. They insisted that retrieving the Infinite Medallion was going to reduce casualties. It is for this reason that I asked you all to search for it in your respective domains."

Queen Sharaina's words were received by murmurs. She waited patiently for the Enchanted 7 to calm down before continuing.

"The medallion is with a vampire. This vampire is believed to be in the United States of America. However the exact whereabouts of this vampire are unknown. What we do know is that she calls herself the Great One and that she is the leader of an all vampire cult."

Commander Ouman raised his hand and Sharaina permitted him to speak by nodding her head at him. Ouman got up and placed his right hand on his chest.

"Your highness, what must we do in order to retrieve the medallion from that lowly vampire?"

"You are to keep on searching for it without leaving any stone unturned." Sharaina answered him and he sat back down.

"This war is going to happen whether we like it or not hence we must be prepared. I have ordered the gamarax manipulators to build up enough gamarax to teleport every warrior darkas god and vampire to the kremis dimension. This, however, will take some time so this is where you come in. You are to build underground dorms that will shelter the humans during the battle. We can't afford to lose them."

"It will be done as you have commanded, our queen." The Enchanted 7 said in unison.

"I always hoped that we wouldn't have to fight another war but alas things don't always happen the way we want them to. It will be an honor to fight alongside you once more." Sharaina concluded.

Akirexer and Melonina made their way into the living room chuckling and laughing. They found Maradina and the twins watching TV. Upon recognizing Melonina, the girls stood up and bowed at her in respect.

Melonina held her hand up. "There's no need for that girls. I am not here on official business. As you can see, I am not even in my uniform." She winked at them.

Bruce was in the kitchen grabbing drink when he heard Melonina's voice. He went out to see her and the two embraced each other.

"I knew it was you the moment I heard your voice." Bruce softly said to Melonina.

"It's so good to see you Bruce. How are you doing?"

"I'm holding up." Bruce replied. His voice sad but his face depicting happiness with a half smile.

"I am sorry about what happened to Daisy." Melonina lovingly held his shoulder.

"I miss her everyday." Bruce confessed and tension filled the air. Upon realizing this, Bruce opted to clear the air. "Enough about me. Have you seen Waxx?" He asked Melonina with a warm and captivating smile.

"Oh yes I have. I was with him a few minutes ago." Melonina confirmed.

"That's wonderful. Please make yourself comfortable while I bring you all some lemonade a sweet neighbor brought for us." Bruce excused himself.

Once they were seated, Akirexer held Melonina's hand and admired her rings. She rubbed her thumb on the diamond engagement ring. "So even darkas gods wear rings as a sign of marriage."

"We sure do." Melonina confirmed with a bright smile that stretched from ear to ear complimenting her rosy cheeks.

Akirexer squinted her eyes and poked her chin in thought. "I have seen rings on queen Sharaina's finger. Does this mean that she is married?"

"Yes she is a married woman." Melonina quickly answered as Bruce placed the tray of glasses and jug of lemonade on the table.

"I never came across a king during my stay at the castle." Akirexer remarked after Bruce left.

Melonina poured herself a glass. "Dark Star has no king. Queen Sharaina is our supreme ruler."

Akirexer felt perplexed. "I don't understand." She admitted.

"She was married before ascending to the throne." Melonina quickly answered.

"Where is her husband?" Akirexer paused another question.

A look of discomfort lingered across Melonina's face. She played with her glass as she thought of what to say. Akirexer observed that even Maradina and the twins felt tensed about her question.

"Akirexer, he has been hibernating for over 2000 years due to a tragedy that I feel Queen Sharaina is best to explain to you. It's a long story." Melonina explained. Her voice low and uncomfortable.

"Oh I understand." Akirexer let what she had just been told sink in.

I understand that feeling because I once had it a long time ago when I lost nearly half of those dear to me. Queen Sharaina's words echoed in Akirexer's head.

"Does she at least have children?" Akirexer asked again despite seeing that Melonina felt uncomfortable talking about Queen Sharaina.

"She has a son. He has been hibernating for a while now due to an assassination attempt on his life. He is scheduled to wake up a few months from now." She quickly answered and finished her glass in three gulps.

"If this is so, why does she want me to be her heir?" Akirexer continued with her questions and Melonina sighed.

"He is a gamarax manipulator. Only warriors can rule Dark Star. This is because every once in a while, challengers for the throne emerge. The only way to take the throne is by defeating the current ruler in a fight to the death."

"Okay I completely understand now."

Alex joined everyone downstairs in the living room. He waited for Sana to finish pouring three glasses of lemonade before pouring himself one. He proceeded to sit opposite Melonina but his attention was on Akirexer. He stared at her so much that it caught the attention of both Akirexer and Melonina.

"Do we have a problem?" Akirexer asked him.

Alex vigorously shook his head with his hands up. "Not at all. Please pardon my staring. It's just that my mind drifted away thinking about work and you happened to be in the direction of my eyes." He politely explained.

"Oh, it's cool then." Akirexer smiled faintly at him. She still found his stare weird.

Melonina pulled Akirexer's hand in order to get her attention. "Are you ready for the dragon technique?"

"I can safely say that I am." Akirexer replied. Her gaze lost in thought by Melonina's question. "Please excuse me." She got up and left.

Melonina remained feeling strange about Akirexer leaving so suddenly. "I hope I haven't said anything wrong." She remarked.

"Said anything wrong to who?" Waxx asked as he got into the house.

Melonina rolled her eyes at him. "None of your business. Don't talk to me. I am still angry with you."

Waxx sat by her and held her hand. "Babe, are we still on this? What do you want me to do in order to prove that I am sorry?"

"You can give me a divorce." Melonina hissed from between her teeth.

Her words dropped the jaws of everyone in the room. Maradina felt as though her world went black and white. Her heart dropped so hard that breathing became a problem. She sat there feeling too weak with shock to get up.

"Waxx, vice commander Melonina is your wife?" Sana asked him with her eyes opened wide.

"You are a married man?" Sanuika added.

"Yes I am girls. This here is the love of my life. Please help me beg for her forgiveness." Waxx scratched the back of his head with his eyes closed and a wide smile.

At this point Maradina felt her tears coming. When they threatened to fall she hastily left the room wiping a tear that escaped. The twins frowned after her and followed her out whilst Waxx remained pleading with Melonina.
