Chapter 62
Explosions were heard all over the Kremis dimension. The war was getting worse by the minute. Bodies of the darkas gods and vampires were scattered all over the dry land. Akirexer and the Serial Takers were able to wipe out the Screamers. Without Sheila's leadership, they lost coordination in the battlefield.
"We have to find the headquarters. That's where Queen Sharaina will be!" Waxx unknowingly said on top of his voice.
"What?!" Akirexer yelled after him as she rubbed her ears. She couldn't shake the ringing sound off.
"I think he said we should go!" Sana loudly voiced out.
"What?!" Waxx asked Sana.
"What?!" Akirexer asked him back.
"What are you all talking about?!" Josh winced at his wounded shoulder. One of the vampires got to him and the oxmaynatrifin was already taking its toll on him.
Waxx saw that they were all partially deaf and they were all going to stay that way for a few more minutes. He resorted to utilizing body language in order to communicate. He pointed his finger down and twirled it around. He then pointed in the opposite direction with his thumb and heads nodded.
Waxx closed his eyes and sensed the environment. He was able to feel concentrated gamarax up ahead to the south west. Judging by what he sensed, it would take the gang at least two days to get there on foot. They also couldn't open a portal there because of the risk of getting ambushed.
Waxx activated his scythe and slashed it in the air. A small portal appeared and it grew twenty times its size. The next thing everyone saw was a grey claw. Soon, a 50 foot dragon walked out roaring. It spread its wings wide and growled. It's temper cooled when it set its eyes on Waxx. It lowered its head and Waxx petted it.
Josh was next and he used his chain to open a portal. Walking out was a wingless orange dragon. It had a spiky black collar chain and there was a giant spiky ball at the end of its tail. Josh groaned in pain as he climbed on his dragon.
Maradina summoned her snow white dragon. The twins joined her on top of it. Akirexer created a portal for Umandaang with her weapon like everyone else. The moment they saw Umandaang walk out of the portal, they were astonished.
"Umandaang!" Josh's dragon exclaimed.
Umandaang growled. "That's King Umandaang. I may have been banished for close to 3000 years but I am still your King." He furiously spoke to Josh's dragon and he backed away.
"I never imagined that we would ever see you again." Maradina's dragon spoke up immediately catching Umandaang's attention.
"What is your name female?" Umandaang asked her, his voice was husky and intimidating.
"I am Lanitrexis, dragon of ice. My mistress is Maradina." Maradina's dragon politely responded.
Umandaang looked at the rest. "What about the rest of you?" He asked them.
"I am Gemigon, dragon of wind. My master is Waxx. He is the leader of the group." Gemigon proudly introduced himself.
"I guess it is my turn." Josh's dragon said. "I am Vicanomen. I am the dragon of Earth. My master is Josh."
Umandaang turned his attention to Waxx. "Why have we all been summoned?"
"We have to get to the headquarters and join our comrades." Waxx quickly answered Umandaang.
Umandaang spread his dark wings apart and took off into the sky with Lanitrexis and Gemigon flying after him. Vicanomen stayed on the ground and ran across the land at a high speed. He was so fast that only dust was seen.
From the sky, Akirexer and the Serial Takers could see the ongoing battle. Vicanomen occasionally bashed through vampires that couldn't get out of his way on time and this instantly killed them.
In exactly three hours, the gang spotted the headquarters. It was compromised of hundreds of white tents erected in a circular pattern with a beige tent at the center. The tents were spatially arranged.
The whole area was surrounded by a wire fence made entirely out of manite. Manite was a special element that was found in green crystals of the Green planet. It was the source of all magic and famous for being tougher than steel.
Vicanomen was the first to arrive. He halted at the gate and glared at the barricade of guards blocking him from entering. Josh groaned as he identified himself to the guards. The dragons flew over the fence and landed inside. Upon seeing Umandaang, the warriors were astonished and afraid. They quickly activated their weapons. Some even went as far as summoning their dragons. Umandaang growled at them and puffed out smoke from his nose.
'Calm down Umandaang. They don't know any better.' Akirexer telepathically said to Umandaang.
A chuckle was heard inside the beige tent. Queen Sharaina walked out of it with the Enchanted Seven. Queen Sharaina wore white tights that showed off her curvy figure. A silver chest plate was firmly fixed on her chest and it hugged her breasts perfectly. The silver thigh high armor boots complimented it.
Her long golden hair was tied in a pony tail. She wore a thin golden band with a red Ruby the size of a grape at the center, in place of her crown. Dropping down and almost sweeping the floor was her red cape.
The Enchanted Seven wore an armor similar to Queen Sharaina's. The difference was that theirs was dark black and dropping down were navy blue capes. The Enchanted Seven stared at Umandaang in shock. The vice commanders, who were in armor that was completely navy blue formed a protective barrier around the Queen and the Enchanted Seven.
Quix examined the situation and was completely shocked to discover that Umandaang belonged to Akirexer. Vice commander Melonina on the other hand blushed when Waxx winked at her. She was happy to see him despite the circumstances.
"Sharaina!" Umandaang thundered.
"It is nice to see you too Umandaang. I haven't seen you in a long time." Queen Sharaina chuckled and walked out of the protective barrier.
"Maybe if you didn't banish me, we wouldn't be having this conversation." Umandaang hissed.
"I see that you are under the command of my none pure. I'm sure you know what that means." Queen Sharaina mockingly waved her eyebrows at Umandaang.
'She is the queen's none pure? This explains everything.' Quix thought.
Queen Sharaina's taunts only infuriated Umandaang even more. "I will never bow down to you wicked witch of a harlot. The sight of you makes me want to kill myself." Umandaang angrily roared.
Queen Sharaina curled her lips into a smile. "I am not asking you to bow down to me. I am just reminding you of your place."
At this, Umandaang lost his cool and swung his tail at Queen Sharaina. A loud bang was heard. The impact caused sand and dust to rise. It even blew tents away. As soon as the dust settled, everyone saw the frustration in Umandaang's eyes as Queen Sharaina smirked at him with her elbow in contact with his tail.
The hit did no damage at all. It didn't even move Queen Sharaina's feet. The warriors glared at Umandaang and were just about to attack when Akirexer slapped Umandaang hard.
"Are you a retarded?!" Akirexer furiously asked Umandaang.
Umandaang looked at her astonished. "How dare you put your filthy hands on me?!" Umandaang exploded.
Akirexer slapped him again but harder. She slapped him so hard that her hand hurt.
"I own you therefore I can do whatever I want with you stupid fucking idiot!"
Akirexer pointed at Queen Sharaina but kept her angry eyes on Umandaang.
"She owns me. I will forever serve her for as long as I live! She is my mistress and my queen therefore you will respect whether you like it or not! I don't give a shit about what bad blood you have with her. In case you have forgotten, we are at war. We have more pressing matters to deal with instead of your childish and irrelevant tantrums! Get with the fucking program! King Meelzib is gone and you are mine now! Know your place or else I will remind you in a manner worse than this!"
Jaws dropped after Akirexer finished yelling at Umandaang. They never thought that anyone could speak to the great and fierce Umandaang like that. Not even King Meelzib spoke to him so harshly. Umandaang lowered his head to Akirexer. A soft laugh escaped his jaw.
"Mind telling me what is so funny about what I just said." Akirexer clenched her fist.
"Oh nothing really. I'm just amazed by your boldness. I guess I'm going to enjoy submitting to you." Umandaang calmly replied.
"Leave now, your presence is bothering everyone." Akirexer coldly ordered Umandaang.
"As you wish." He obeyed and disappeared into thin air.
Akirexer turned to Queen Sharaina. She looked remorsefully at her queen. "I am sorry about Umandaang's behavior your highness." Akirexer apologized.
Queen Sharaina put her hand on Akirexer's shoulder. She gave Akirexer a warm smile. "Don't worry about it. We all know how hot tempered Umandaang is."
Queen Sharaina faced everyone. "Waxx and his team are joining us in battle. Be sure to treat them as comrades." Queen Sharaina ordered everyone and they bowed their heads in respect.
She glanced over at Akirexer. " I want to have a word with you after my meeting with the Enchanted Seven."
"Of course." Akirexer gave Queen Sharaina a nod.
Queen Sharaina walked back into the tent with her commanders. Everyone went back to their duties. Vice commander Melonina went over to Waxx, Maradina and the twins. Akirexer was about to join them when vice commander Quix called out her name.
"Hi vice commander Quix, I didn't expect to see you so soon." Akirexer smiled at him.
"You know I'd prefer you called me just by my name." Vice commander warmly said Akirexer.
The look in his eyes melted Akirexer's heart. She faced away feeling so stupid for having blushed again in his presence.
"Alright, I guess." Akirexer answered and inhaled. "You look good in your armor."
"Really? Thank you, Akirexer." Quix towered over Akirexer and she was forced to look up. "You, on the other hand, always look pretty."
"Are you on a mission to make me blush to death?" Akirexer cockily flirted back with a smug.
"Okay, I'll tone it down a bit. I don't want you dying on me." Quix winked at her. "It's lunch time, mind coming with me to the cafeteria tent? Hosting a dragon of Umandaang's caliber can really work up an appetite." he remarked.
"I hope you're not saying this because you heard my stomach growl." Akirexer raised her eyebrow at Quix and he cracked up laughing.
"Me? Oh no, I didn't hear a thing." he ended with a grin.
Akirexer grinned back at him. "If you say so. Lead the way. I am truly hungry."
They got into a 100 x 4 tent. They found several other warriors sitting on benches and having their meals. The whole place was filled with chatter. Quix leaned to Akirexer's ear.
"Find us somewhere to sit." He whispered.
Akirexer scanned the place and spotted Waxx and Melonina. She took notice of Maradina and the twins at the same table when Sana waved at her. Akirexer headed there and when she got closer, she saw that the bench had places for two more people.
"Perfect." She thought.
Quix got two trays of food and looked for Akirexer. He soon saw her sitting with Melonina and followed her. Unfortunately to his dismay, he realized that the only open space was right next to Waxx. There was no turning back. Quix gave Akirexer her tray and put his on the table. .
Quix cleared his throat. "Would you mind moving over?" He asked Waxx and he immediately moved over without saying a word. Quix reluctantly sat down making sure that he didn't brush shoulders with Waxx. "Thanks." He said.
Melonina felt the uncomfortable tension between the brothers. She forked up her noodles. "Quix, how long do you think the meeting will last?" She broke the ice in a desperate attempt to clear the tension.
"I'm not sure but they should be done soon. The sooner we know the battle strategy, the better." Quix took a bite of his steamed potatoes.
Melonina gasped and put her hands together. "Hey guys, do you know what I have just realized?" She asked excitedly.
"What?" Waxx asked her.
"You two are so much alike. I mean look at how you are eating. Even more so, look at the food you ordered."
Waxx and Quix looked at each others trays. They each had steamed potatoes, broccoli and meatballs. Their eyes shifted each other's forks and they had potato on them. Upon realizing this, they decided to prove Melonina wrong by eating something else.
Their forks landed on the broccoli at the same time. When they realized this, they gritted their teeth and poked a meatball and stuffed it in their mouths. When they saw what happened, they both went back to the broccoli. They kept going at it until they heard laughter.
Everyone on the table was laughing at them. Waxx joined them laughing and this irritated Quix. Quix looked over to Akirexer. He was smitten by how beautiful she looked when she was sincerely laughing. He couldn't help but smile at her and before he knew it, he was laughing too.
"To be honest, we have always known that we have similar habits." Quix confessed to everyone with a smile. "You don't know how hard I have been trying to break away from it."
"Well it can't be helped. We took up after our father." Waxx happily added but when he realized the gravity of what he had just said, he and Melonina stopped laughing.
Quix's face turned dark and it stunned Akirexer. She never saw that side of Quix. The look on Waxx and Melonina worried Akirexer. Tension filled the bench once more. Quix got up and wiped his mouth.
"Excuse me." He said and dashed out.
"Quix!" Melonina called after him. "You have to go after him." She desperately insisted to Waxx.
"I don't think that's a good idea. The last time I went after him, we almost killed each other." Waxx thoughtfully said with a distant look on his face.
"I know honey but he is your brother and it is high time you two made peace."
Melonina held Waxx's hand but he pulled away. He didn't dare to look into her eyes.
"It is what your father would have wanted." Melonina softly said to Waxx.
Her words pierced through Waxx like a needles. Without another word, he got up and left.
