"That's..crazy, so without me, you would've died." She mutters quietly, almost not believing it.

I smile to lighten the mood and lace our fingers together. We ride to the café quietly for breakfast none of us speaking, both enjoying the silence and company of each other, our hands still intertwined in one another's.

Walking through my betas house without knocking I glance around and see no one here.

I mind-linked Lucas on the way that I was dropping by, he and Amanda are taking their son for a check-up, leaving me alone with my mate as she leads me to the spare room to collect her things.

She doesn't have much, a few suitcases. I will need to buy her more. She deserves to have everything she could have and more.

I grab the last of the suitcases and load them in the back of my truck. I refused to let her help as she is sitting on the steps sulking. "Is this everything sweetheart?" I ask, nodding towards her stuff.

She smiles sweetly, a hint of red on her cheeks, and nods. "Yeah." She says. "I sold everything before I came here, I brought what I needed.."

That reminds me. "May I ask what brought you to live here?" I ask her holding her hand to lift her up off the steps. She dusts her pants off and grimaces.

"It's kind of depressing." She says avoiding my gaze.

"Tell me little one."

She sighs and I open the side door for her as she gets in and I go towards the driver's seat.

"I had the shittiest day of my life.. basically.." she says silently. "My ex-boyfriend cheated on me.." she says and I growl out at the thought of another man being with my mate. She laughs breaking the tension.

"I will break his neck with a flick of my finger if he dares speak to you again." I promise her.

She giggles. "I bet you could easily do that." She smiles and I relax, fucking stunning, and all mine.

"So, after I found out about him I got a call from my bank." She groans out. "He swiped my cards and stole every cent I made from my paintings, we had joint accounts and I couldn't do anything about it.." she smiles weakly at me and I'm seriously thinking about finding this fucker and breaking every bone in his body, slowly, until he begs me to kill him.

"Then I get a call from my landlord to inform me my place flooded." She says quietly and I take everything she says in listening patiently. "Every single piece I had left was ruined, thousands of pounds of hard work.. just gone."

A lone tear drops from her eye and I'm seething with anger. Who the fuck does this to someone. He left her with nothing and ruined her life, if I ever find out his name and location, he can only pray I don't fucking kill him slowly.

I comfort her with my hand on her leg and squeeze gently. "You have me now." I say confidently. "And what's mine is yours, anything you need you to tell me." I demand with my tone as I stare at her.

She smiles sadly and doesn't say anything.

"What was his name?" I ask curiously.

Her eyebrow raises slightly and watches me. "Why?" She asks.

I shrug. So I can find him, torture him and feed him to the livestock, like the garbage he is.

"Let's call it curiosity."

She laughs amused. "Yeah right." He squeezes my hand. "Promise me you won't do anything Kane." She asks seriously.

I snort out amused. "I will do nothing." I say and she relaxes. "Unless I see him anywhere near you." I make every word sound deadly as each word is laced with promise. "Then I will gladly enjoy watching him die." I state with venom and promise.

She coughs uncomfortable and I smile warmly at her to ease the tension. "I love you Sora, but every single wolf in this pack would gladly do the same for you as I would." I say gently to her. "No one will ever come close to hurting you again, I swear to you on my life, it's me and you now baby." I say, turning off the engine as we park outside our home.

I hold her gaze in mine as I promise her with each word I speak. "You are my Luna, I will happily die for you Sora, make no mistake, I will prove my love for you every day for the rest of our lives." I peck her lips softly. "I love you mate, so much, I only want you happy and safe. " I say laced with emotion, showing her how much she means to me.

How much she means to my pack.

She nods crying quietly with a small. "I love you too." She cries out quietly.

I smile. "No more crying my sweet mate, you are so strong." I kiss her tears. "I'm so lucky to have met you Sora." I say honestly.

"Come." I open her door for her. "Let's get you moved in." I say grinning.

She smiles happily back and nods. "Okay."

And we both walk into our home.

Holding my mate's hand and both ready to take on the world together, ready for our life together to finally begin.
