KANE

Silence.

My mate hasn't moved in 5 minutes and Dex and I are scared we might've traumatized our mate.

What should we do? Did we scare mate? Dex whines out loud making our mate step back away from us.

Was this a good idea? Was it too soon?

I lower my head submissively to my mate to show her I would never harm her, never in my lifetime would I harm her.

She watches my large wolf and we can sense her fear. Her fingers are shaking and she's most likely trying to understand what's going on.

"Kane..?" My mate barely whispers out and my wolf's ear perks up.

"Oh my god how is this possible.. " she mumbles. "I'm going mad! I have to be.. theirs no damn way.. no I'm definitely having a nightmare right now." She suddenly stops speaking and slaps her face hard.

My wolf yelps out, to human ears it would sound like a cry almost.

"Holy shit this is happening.."

"Can.. can you understand me?" She asks us silently.

I gulp hard and nod my much larger head.

"Y-you really are a werewolf.. and you u-understood me?... how is this possible... you were a man.. and now a-a big wolf... this is insane.." She says, almost to herself.

"Mate is scared, let me comfort mate" Dex says confidently.

"She will be more scared if we move Dex, give her time." I say to him, to only get silence.

I take a deep breath and walk closer to Sora, who's watching my movements like a hawk. Moving closer till I'm in front of her, she's much smaller than usual, my wolf is the size of a car and she's already small as a human compared to my human size.

She freezes completely and I put my head lower underneath her hand, hoping she understands what I want her to do.

My heart is racing, I've never shown a human my wolf before and now my mate is seeing us for the first time.

I've never felt fear until this moment.

I can't lose her, not when I just found her.

Her shaking hands reach out to touch my fur and it's unnerving to watch her face experiencing this for the first time. I want to comfort our little mate.

I will never harm you.

I try to tell her so badly from my actions.

"C-can I touch you?" She asks her voice clearer now.

Keeping our head down I nudge her hand and the electricity from her touch sends tingles through my body making my wolf purr at the feeling of having our mate touch us.

"So soft." She mumbles to herself.

"Are you going to kill me?" She asks, her voice quieter now.

Without realizing my wolf snarls at the thought of anyone harming our mate. I shake my head.

I need to speak to her properly Dex..

"I understand... I'm happy I got to feel mate" Dex says and I know it will take her some time. But we can get there.

She will learn to accept us.

She has to.

I nudge her hand as she stops stroking my fur and I begin to walk behind a tree behind her as I begin to change into my human form, bones breaking around me and the sound of my mate's heartbeat are the only sounds I hear besides the waterfall next to us.

Finally adjusting and grabbing my pants from next to the tree I put them on and come face to face with my mate.

She has tears in her eyes are my heart breaks.

"Does it hurt?" Her voice breaks and I rush to her side

"No... no please don't cry." I kneel beside her on the forest bed floor trying not to touch her but I desperately want to. "I'm sorry.. I didn't want to tell you so soon.. please don't cry." My heart clenches hard at the sight of my mate crying.

Her long beautiful wet eyelashes look up at me I get a pain in my chest at how beautiful my mate is. I'm so lucky she's my mate.

She sniffles and I assure her, sitting down next to her. "It doesn't hurt anymore, I promise." I tell her the truth. "I'm sorry if I scared you.. I didn't want any secrets between us sweetheart." I touch her hand and she jumps slightly at my touch.

"Why." Her voice cracks. "Why did you show me." She says as she avoids my gaze.

I swallow hard. "You're my mate."

Silence.

"What's a mate?" She asks me, now looking at me.

I look into her eyes and gently squeeze her hand. "A soulmate." I say staring at her face. "We all have one, I mean every wolf has one."

"There are more of you?" She asks quietly, still holding my hand. Here we go..

"Yes." I say confidently. "I'm the Alpha of this pack.. community.. whatever you want to call it.. we.. we are all werewolves Sora." Her eyes go wide and I can tell she finally connected the dots.

"Amanda? Lucas? Even their baby?" She asks panicking. To which I nod.

"Sora... there is something else I need to tell you." I caress her cheek as she gasps at the tingles. Nodding she swallows the lump in her throat.

"You are Luna of this pack.. if you accept me as your mate." Breathe in, exhale. "I want you to give us a chance, I would never hurt you Sora.. I.. I would do everything in my power to protect you from my world but it's not that simple, you are human, I know it's different for you than it is for me." I swallow hard. "I know you may not accept me a-and I will wait, forever if I have to, just please don't run away from this, you are it for me sweetheart." I put my forehead against hers and close my eyes. I feel her taking in everything I said and its nerve wreaking to let someone see me with my walls down.

"Y-you want to be together?" She whispers.

I open my eyes lean back so I can see her face. "Yes. "I say truthfully. "But I'm willing to take it slow also, I will wait forever." I rush out.

She stands up and I stand up with her. Still just wearing jeans.

She frowns and glances at my chest, rosy cheeks being more visible now.

Causing me to chuckle. "Sorry." I mutter while I grab my shirt and boots behind me.

"I'm human." She says quietly and I frown up at her as I tie my boots.

"Yes, I noticed, is that a problem?" I ask.

I know I had a problem before but that was before I met her, I can't picture my life without her now, I've waited for this moment for too long already.

"I don't know.." She mumbles. "I-is it a problem for you?" She frowns. Still red in her cheeks.

I grin up at my beautiful mate. "Nope."

"I am lucky to have a beautiful human mate." I say proudly as I button up my shirt as she watches me with a shy gaze.

I walk to her and pull her into my hard chest gently, wrapping my arms around her protectively, at first she freezes but begins to hug me back and our bodies are perfect together. With my chin on her head and her small delicate hands around my waist and our scent mixing together washes away all my worries of her accepting me.
