14 Farce World
“To be honest, I knew this would happen the moment I laid my eyes on you.” He started to speak and I cleared my throat.
I would like to reject that. He was keen on pushing me away despite saving and buying me from my father.
I instantly stopped and pushed him away, “You hated me knowing your fated mate is a human.” I rebuked him, “Did you forget?”
Alpha Ace was silenced, and the mood suddenly changed.
He instantly got off the top of me and stood up, silently walking away. He paused by the door, “I have to stop now. refreshed yourself.” And he left me alone.
I stared blankly at the wall, cursing out loud. I pulled the blankets closer to my body and couldn’t help but see all the marks he put on me.
It was almost everywhere.
And seeing it now in clear view and now I’m woken up from reality, I felt terrible and instantly regretted it.
I felt used as if garbage was being disposed of. And I hate Alpha Ace for this.
And that’s it? My first sexual experience? My first time doing it just fell to waste.
It’s too disappointing how I even imagined that it would be dreamy when the time comes, and now that the time indeed came, the only thing I am thinking of is wanting to turn back the time.
How did he even manage to bring me here? I facepalmed, breathing deeply and wanting nothing but to run away right there but I have to think about my aunt.
We have nowhere to go and staying here would be beneficial for her sake.
I guess I have to endure this until I can figure out a way.
I instantly got out of Alpha Ace’s room and quickly headed to my room. I was in a hurry, and I didn’t notice the voice that was stopping me until I felt strong hands grabbing me from behind.
I flinched at the sudden touch and would have instantly tried to fight back when my body instantly recognized the person holding me.
Markus came as he grabbed my hand which made me turn to him.
Concern was evident in his expression and he instantly asked, “What happened, Kira? Why are you crying?”
My eyes met his worried expression as he gazed at me, waiting for my reply.
I blinked, not knowing I was already crying. Why didn’t I notice my tears falling down?
I instantly avoided Mark’s gaze on me and instead denied, “No, I’m alright.”
He breathed deeply as he clenched his jaw, “It’s obvious that you are not fine, Kira, don’t bother lying to me,” His eyes were sharp now, and fury was evident, “Tell me, who hurt you? You know that you can confide in me, Kira. You can trust me.”
How can I say that this is your boss's doing? It’s his fault, and you are his subordinate. Once I tell you, I know you’ll spill it to that damn alpha.
I wanted to tell that to him yet I couldn't bring myself. Plus I am shaking, my thighs, my hips, and my whole body has been trembling since earlier when I just forced myself to stand up.
Mark took a pause as he carefully read my expression and without a second thought, he nodded, “This is the alpha's doing, isn’t it?” His hands then stroked my cheek and scoffed, “Just answer me so I will stop questioning you.”
But I refused. He seemed to notice it as he eventually dropped the topic.
Instead, he offered his hand to me, “You won’t reach your room at this point,” He pointed at my trembling knees, “I’ll escort you back to your room.”
As much as I wanted to avoid him now, I know that he would still insist on helping me.
“Thanks.”
He then let me lean on him as he helped me walk. We walked in silence soon after, both not daring to talk and I was thankful he understood that I wanted some peace and quiet time right now.
Suddenly, he paused and his nose sniffed the air and he snorted as if smelling a foul smell while saying, “So he already marked you…”
I paused at what he said, “Marked?”
“It’s when werewolves claim their mate and finally bond with them. It won't take long before you'll be able to communicate with him telepathically and even feel his emotions. You’ll soon share a bond that would be unbreakable.” He explained,
I nodded quietly. I mean, the moment I heard that word, I already thought of fantasy movies mentioning that..that time when I was still a student, I always neglected knowing these are all farces.
But now living in the world I called farce, I couldn’t still believe it…
I sighed, being a student felt like it has already passed for a long time when I’m only staying here for a few days
I just didn’t know that I would reach the point of this in my life.
Nothing to return to, nothing to call home. And no one to call. As my friend.
I feel like going crazy soon.
My intrusive thoughts were suddenly broken by Mark’s comment. “But I thought this won’t happen until the blood moon appears. He defiled the traditions.” He said, his fangs showing.
“He forced you, didn’t he?” He asked and I gulped.
I mean, I partly wanted it from the beginning but I didn’t know how grave the situation is and the consequences.
“If he did? As If there is someone who can punish your alpha…isn’t he the alpha king like you said?”
Alpha Ace is the leader, and what's more, he is the king of all. Meaning, no one can dare to refuse his words. His words are the law in this world if I’m not mistaken.
Mark bared his teeth, “Yes he is, but he could be stripped of his position by doing that to you. I’ll make sure he won’t repeat this.”
Oh, I didn’t know about that….I feel a bit validated and felt like I still have someone…Mark is so kind to me, but I am feeling something strange about why he is nice, I mean I am having trust issues with anyone now. It’s not my fault for doubting his intentions.
I cleared my throat, “Tell me, Mark, why are you doing this?”
“Doing what?”
“Caring for me. Being gentle and nice despite your rough leader.” I suddenly dropped to him and he was quiet for a second. He seemed to be contemplating something before he answered, “Because you're our future luna. You must be treated right.”
I nodded, feeling a bit disappointed at his answer, “I see. You're concerned about my being due to your duty as a beta?”
He nodded.
I bit my lip. I thought you were doing all of this because you consider me your friend.
I just smiled as he continued supporting me and we finally reached my room.
He stopped at the door, “Do not leave your room from now on. The alpha’s mark on you is too strong that soon, everyone will know of this.”
I blinked, “Why, is that a good thing?”
“No, it’s a bad thing, so we have to keep this a secret for now while I talk to the alpha.” He said, “I’ll just give you your meals here. Wait for me, alright? Now take a rest.” And with that, he left me alone.
