Two Encounters
The vampire, Gusev managed to get me as his hand laid on my shoulders ever so casually. “You know, my dear, how come you are siding with this monster?” He said cheekily, “I just have my fangs and uncontrollably drink blood to humans, but I am not the one mass killing an entire family in just one night.” He said.
I breathed deeply, glancing at Alpha Ace who is avoiding eye contact with me.
“What? Too shy to speak? Tell your girlfriend here all the mischief you've done, Alpha Ace. Tell her.”
When Alpha Ace didn’t dare talk, he then whispered to me, “The real monster here is not me, it is your mate here..”
Alpha Ace instantly grabbed my hand and instantly pulled me back from the vampire as he hissed at Gusev, “Do not even attempt to touch her, bastard.”
Gusev tilted his head to the side, his hand raising up in the air in surrender, “I did not touch her, but I could make her mine-”
Alpha Ace’s hands were instantly on his neck and the vampire coughed. He then fought the alpha back, “You damn alpha!”
“You’ve become weak compared to last time. Is it because you are put in a disadvantaged position?” Asked the vampire teasingly.
Both were attacking each other now, not wanting to back down when suddenly, I felt another presence behind me.
“Boring to watch eh?”
I jumped at the sound of the man behind the tree. He was looking at me, checking and analyzing as if I was some random doll that he wanted to play with.
His eyes bore into me for a moment, but one thing I noticed was his appearance.
He’s too handsome.
But not as handsome as Alpha Ace.
My mind suddenly barged in.
I shook my head, clearing my thoughts away as I attempted to look intimidating as possible. I stood still, daring to look back at him.
Judging from his tanned skin, rich healthy raven hair, and eyes as sharp as Alpha Ace, I knew that he was also the same as him.
He is a werewolf too.
I paused, gulping at the new arrival.
I do not know what to do now.
Is he an ally? Enemy? What about Alpha Ace?
Shit. All I know is that staying beside Alpha Ace for now in this situation is the safest thing to do.
I have to stand strong.
I turned to Alpha Ace, wanting to ask for help but he was too busy fighting Alpha Gusev. He seemed to sense my cry for help when he turned in my direction to check, he suddenly cursed under his breath and muttered, “Damn.”
The man behind me suddenly clung his arms on my shoulder ever so casually and waved at Alpha Ace with a bright smile on his face.
He seemed to be enjoying the view of seeing Alpha Ace in agony like that. He chuckled at them.
I blinked. Won’t he even help?
What is even his purpose in coming here if he’s just standing there like a maniac?”
“Hello there, Lycan King!” He greeted cheerfully, as if not sensing the great danger he was currently in.
He then leaned in and sniffed me before smirking, “I see that he was quick to claim you as his.”
I suddenly felt disgusted with the way he talked about me. As if I was merely an object, and I instantly hit him in the elbow and pushed him away.
I stood on alert, “Stay away.”
He scoffed, “Wow, your mate here is quite feisty, Ace. She knows how to fight.”
Alpha Ace glanced at me and ran in my direction. He then pulled me behind him and hissed at the two of them, “You two. Tell me what you want from me or I won’t hesitate and kill you right here.” His cold voice cut through the air, silencing them both for a minute. His intimidating aura was working now and spreading through the space, and I suddenly felt suffocated.
Both Gusev the vampire and the man who just arrived suddenly stopped their attacking stance and stood up straight before erupting into laughter.
“Long time no see, my dear friend.” The man who just arrived said, smiling and approaching him as if they were really long-time best friends.
Alpha Ace looked at them with disgust and turned away from them, “You are not my friend, stop calling me that, bastard.” He then turned to me, “I apologize if they scared you. Do not mind them, they are just bastards.”
Gusev chuckled, “Tsk, it has been such a long time since we last saw you. We just missed you.”
I blinked. Wasn’t Gusev just seeking his revenge earlier? And they were just fighting each other earlier.
And wasn’t it just seconds ago when they were at each other’s throats?
Also, from what I know from watching movies, vampires and werewolves hate each other.
The man who just arrived instantly offered his hand to me, “Oh, forgot to introduce myself. I am Magnus. Alpha Magnus from the Bloodlust Pack.”
Silence.
I just stared at him deadpan.
“Aren’t you going to accept my hand?” He asked.
When I just stared into his hand, he then grabbed it and forced me to handshake it.
A sudden electric feeling came into my brain as soon as my hand made contact with him, sending an electric shock to me.
It seemed that Alpha Ace noticed my expression as he tilted his head, “Are you alright?”
I hissed in pain, forcing myself to nod my head. My knees wobbled and I suddenly lost balance I felt myself leaning into Alpha Ace’s body, before feeling like I could only see darkness.

“You scared her with your fangs, Gusev!” I could hear a man’s voice yelling through my dream.
“No, it was your fault that she suddenly fainted, you forced her to handshake her hand!” Another one replied.
My eyes instantly fluttered open at the sound and I could see two men in front of me.
I blinked, looking at them for a second with a blank expressions and they both stared, waiting for my reaction.
Memories suddenly flashed back and I held my head, wincing in pain. I could feel my head throbbing now. It must be from waking up from the loud sound.
“Ace! She’s awake!” They yelled through the door, making me wince. Goodness. Hearing a sudden voice after waking up hurts my brain so much.
Oh, it’s Gusev, the vampire who suddenly attacked me, and the newcomer, Alpha Magnus? If I am not mistaken.
Why are they still here?
I instantly pulled the blanket closer and looked at them cautiously.
“Gusev, get out. You are making her feel uncomfortable.” Said Alpha Magnus and flashed a smile at me, “Hi, do you remember us?” He asked, now with a more gentle voice.
I was about to open my mouth but couldn’t let a voice out so I cleared my throat.
Gusev the vampire instantly grabbed water for me and offered it, “Drink this first.”
I accepted it and gulped down the water.
The door suddenly opened and I could see Alpha Ace’s worried expression. His eyes searched the room until they landed on me.
He then glared at the two loud men in front of me, “Leave.”
Gusev was pouty now, “Huh? Why-“
Alpha Ace clenched his jaw, giving them a look. They both didn’t have to hear it twice and instantly stood up and left us.
As soon as we were left alone, I watched as Alpha Ace inched closer to me but just leaned on the door. “How are you feeling?”
