Alpha Ace's Woman
“Then so be it I’ll risk everything if this is what had to be done,” I said proudly, ready to face anything.
He sighed, grabbing my hands, “This won’t do, we are wasting time here.” He then dragged me to the infirmary and went to my aunt’s room.
We tiptoed, making sure not to wake anyone up but my aunt was quick enough and woke up, “What are you doing here, my niece?” She asked, and when she saw Mark was carrying an injection behind him, she was about to panic but Mark was quick to inject it into her.
My aunt’s eyes closed and she fell asleep.
I hit Mark’s back and glared at him, “What did you do to her?!”
He softly put his finger on my lips, “Shh, I just made her sleep so she would come with you.”
With my aunt on his back, he then marched us to the back gate and into the woods, “It pains me to do all of this, please don’t think of me as your enemy. I’m only doing my duty for the sake of our pack.”
I sighed, “Fine, but if Alpha Ace catches you doing this, you’re dead.”
He nodded, dropping my aunt from his back and pushing her to me, “I know that. Didn’t you think I haven’t thought of that before doing all of this?”
I rolled my eyes but he then patted my shoulder to comfort me. “Please be careful. If you hear any sound, run. If you see any other creature other than you, keep quiet and hide."
I looked at him one last time before looking at the dark woods in front of us. I grabbed my aunt tighter on my back and started to walk now.
I didn't even dare to look back again, fearing how I might not be able to leave.
But damn it, It only took me now that I know that I got attached to this place. I could never change this fact. The whole pack started t grow on me and I could feel my heart dropping at each step I took.
I had my aunt with me now, but she was asleep, and I knew that once she woke up, she'll demand to get us back to the pack right there and then.
And now, with only me waking up, I've never felt so alone.
And I only felt how lonely and scary it was right now, without Alpha Ace by my side.
I could feel the wind blowing harsher than ever, and the leaves were noisier now.
Somehow, at a far distance, I could hear footsteps, followed by a loud voices of a woman and a man.
"Ah, this night is boring, we don't have any hunt." Complained a woman in a whiny high pitched voice.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get more soon." Replied the man.
“If you hear any sound, run. If you see any other creature other than you, keep quiet and hide."
Mark's words rang in my head and I instanlty get in the bushes, sensing danger now.
my breath hitched at each step the two newcomers take. They seem to be too preoccupied with themselves that they didn’t notice me. When they were far enough, I couldn't help but release a breath when I could feel another presence behind me.
"Hmm...look what we have here." I sat in the bushes, frozen, glancing behind me to see a man, licking his lips as he stared at me. He looked smaller than me, but he was not wearing any shirt, and I could see muscles on him. His hands were sharp and had pointy nails and with his scent, I knew he was a werewolf.
He whistled, catching the attention of the woman and man that was far from us, and the two went closer and smiled as they saw me.
“You two didn’t check enough. you could have missed these two out. We almost missed out on these two women here...the other one seems a werewolf and the other is....human."
They licked their lips, "Ah finally, we'll have something to eat."
“What are you doing here late at night? Didn’t no one tell you to not leave your house when it's past midnight?”
I gulped, feeling disgusted and creepy at them, "W-What are you?" I tried to still sit upright, but it is obvious how my knees were buckling up.”
"We're werewolves if it's not obvious enough.”
I know damn it. I could smell your stench from up here. I thought to myself.
I wanted to say that but I knew that the moment I opened my mouth, my head would be flying overhead.
"You eat your fellow werewolves?" I asked, and the woman laughed at me.
“You’re too adorable, little munchkin. I could just bite you now.” She commented, and the man beside her stopped her.
“Well, we are carnivorous and our fellow werewolves are meat too." He then grabbed my hand, "And you smell so delicious... but you smell…weird….like a flower that just bloomed. Newly mated. Fresh scent.”
I tried to stand up but grazed my arm with the thorny leaves behind me in the process, which wounded my hand.
The man behind me grabbed it and licked it. “Ah, I knew you would taste good.”
I swallowed hard, breathing deeply now. I swear I could just run now.
I could feel the wound from my hand slowly vanishing and I stopped. Wait. Is this also the effect of being Alpha Ace's woman?
And I seem to have sharp senses now…
“What pack are you?” I asked to divert their attention, finding a way and formulating an escape plan.
“Red Crows.” they answered, “Why ask? Want to join us?”
Just then, the woman stopped and inched closer to smell me, “Wait, I know you. I know this scent..” She then whispered to the man beside her and they both gasped.
“Wait, no way. Is this true? You are Alpha Ace’s mate?”
I gulped. Should I deny it?
Will they kill me if I deny it?
Judging by the look of anticipation they had, I knew that they were expecting it so I did what I had to do.
Lie.
“No.”
“Psh, that’s a lie. I can't be mistaken. We are near his territory and Alpha Ace’s smell is so distinct. I knew one when I see one. Seems he already claimed you. What a bit of luck.” The woman said, having this silly smile on her face.
“Instead of slicing you limb by limb, we could hostage you now. Thank the lucky stars for this night.”
They instantly got my hands. I struggled for a few minutes, trying to bite their hands off but they were werewolves, of course, I stood no chance of their strength. My struggle was useless as with one scoop, I was carried on the man’s back.
The woman dragged my sleeping aunt with him, and they were laughing, happy to have something they could bring to their pack.
I closed my eyes, praying for something, anything to come and distract them so they could drop me and run.
But something was a miss.
