Arya the Rogue Mate
I was left in my tent as we were packed in the red crowd. All I could hear was the smell of blood stinking my nose.
I only witnessed this. How they sacked a whole pack.
But I did not even feel a slight pity for them. Red Crows deserved it. They killed me and my aunt that night, they have to pay the price.
Well, I could clearly see why they fear Alpha Ace’s pack. They fight ferociously and beastly. Torn werewolves here and there. Limb by limb.
Just then, I saw Alpha Ace returning as he carried another wounded werewolf. His whole shoulder were bleeding, and his eyes were closed. Beside him looked like a woman as her skin was toned but she looked pale now.
Now that I could remember it, she must be the “Rogue” mate that Ace was talking about. And that man that Ace is carrying is Alpha Kai, the hostage of the Red crows.
Good thing that Ace brought with him their pack doctor as they dragged the wounded alpha inside the tent.
Ace appeared later on and smiled at me, “Hey, how are you doing?”
I smiled back, “It’s been good. You fight so well back there.”
He scoffed, “I only did what you wanted. To get your revenge. Now we got it. We have already kiled everyone except The Alpha of Red Crows, Alpha Elijah, has fled along with his mate. He left his pack behind so we are tracing his scent.”
I nodded, “At least things got well?”
He beamed at me, “Yeah…thank you.”
I raised my eyebrows, “Why are you thanking me? I was only a sit princess here. I did nothing.”
He shrugged, “Just for being there. I have this strength. I feel like I could defeat any enemy right now.”
I giggled, blushing, “Awe, no, you’re just strong, baby.”
He kissed my forehead, “I need to be back then, take good care of Kai’s mate, her name is Kira. Be careful, she might be a little aggressive cause she’s a rogue.”
“Oh, what’s a rogue again?”
“She was banished from her past pack…whichc means she has been surviving on her own.”
I nodded, keeping in his order. So that’s how bad it is to be banished from your own pack? Werewolves take pride in their pack, and it must have been sad….to experience that…
It must have been hard then.
“Alright.” Ace then left on his own.
I waited for a few minutes, waiting outside when they dragged the woman to me. She was glaring at me, and I just looked at her, feeling pity.
From what I could remember, she’s a mate of the twins…I wonder where Alpha Zef is? Well, he surely looked like the wounded Alpha Kai…
I looked at her neck, it was bruising. Gosh, she looks in bad shape so much that I fear that she was on the verge of dying. Blood was all over her.
“You're injured too,” I muttered, wanting her to get treated too. The pack doctor must have given his attention to the alpha first as he was the one who looked in the worse critical condition.
If only I could manage to treat someone, I would treat her…
She unconsciously held my neck and she seemed shocked, she seemed to only notice how painful it was.
“I wouldn’t touch that if I were you," I said and she raised her eyebrows, almost like taking my advice as an insult. She looked so hardheaded and gosh, if looks could kill, I might have already been dead.
I inched closer to her. I am not the friendly type but since I don't have anyone to talk to right now, they are all busy, I guess she can do.
I remember Ace saying that her name was…
Wait, I know it starts with a K word..
Oh right, Kira.
I cleared my throat, “Here, let me help you. I am Kira by the way… your name is Arya right?”
Instinctively, she pushed me away, “No, you’re a human.”
I blinked at that, seeing nothing wrong with it, “So?”
Gosh, does my human scent sucks that much? Everyone seems to hate it as I smell like a poop.
‘This is kind of offending. I know I specifically washed my whole body earlier at the packhouse.
She noticed how offended I look as she added, “And you are mated with the Lycan king…”
I raised my eyebrows at that, “And?"
She sighed, something tells me that she is just thinking that I am a pushover or dense.
“This would cause a ruckus in our world. You should not have come to us.”
Oh…is that what her thoughts are? I sighed, does it look like my fault that I wanted to be here in the first place? B*tch no. But I do not have any choice.
And I am in a much better state than I will ever be back in the human society.
I gnawed on my teeth, trying to be nice to her, "I already know that. But I want to just help you treat the scrape on your neck instead of you sulking in that corner waiting for your lovely mates to be brought back to life.”
I could feel the glares that she ahs been giving me, “He’s not my….lovely mate.”
I smirked at that, “Well, it seems to me that he is…or do you hate him?”
I could tell, gosh I really could lamost read her expressions and thoughts just from that deadpan look of hers. She’s thinking that there is no sense in talking to me as I was just annoying her more.
“Did someone tell you how prying and irritating you are?” She suddenly brought up, snapping at me.
I gasped. Ouch. That hurts. “Uhm no?”
“Well, you are.”
Gosh, fine. I accept that, but only because she’ injured and she must have been scared for her mate’s life. I kind of get her.
I guess I have to be the bigger person here and have more patience.
Instead of returning to her the energy she has been giving me, I nodded at her, agreeing. “Well, I know that too.”Besides, it’s the truth! She has a point. I do not have any choice but to accept that so there is no point of arguing to her.
Arya’s attention seemed to have been all on me as she continued to insult me, “Do you know the situation you are in? You are in the most dangerous place in the whole world. you are the prey, and we prey on the likes of you. Ah, especially to loud and annoying chicks who seem to not have any good business.”
I pouted, not wanting her to get the better with me. Ah, one more push and I ight get into a cat fight.
Control your temper, Kira. Wew. I didn’t think it would be this much harder to talk with women than with men. Guess I have been surrounded by men too much that I forgot the real deal.
“What’s safer than being with the most dangerous man around?” I asked her sarcastically, “You seem to be misunderstanding something. I came here to die. I’ve already been through worse. I’ve witnessed so much worse. Lost my loved ones, and been treated like shit. I did not have the luxury to be a rogue princess like you.” I couldn’t help but let my tongue get the better of me and retort to her.
She gritted her teeth, nearly attacking me, “You don’t know my life.”
