Arya's POV Part 2

That question alone stopped me.

Gusev nodded. Wow, how sharp of an intuition she has! She could instantly get ahold of things without us even explaining.

Her eyes then trailed to me, “A she-wolf…a rogue one…what is your name?”

“Arya….” I trailed off, suddenly feeling speechless. I swear I feel like stuttering around her!

Gusev glanced at me, “I told her about you and she seemed excited to meet you.”

“Oh, is she?”

I nodded, biting my lip and feeling like blushing but then I remembered that we have to be quick! Alpha Ace is going to die soon!

I cleared my throat, mustering up the courage to talk confidently, “I’ve been wanting to meet you, ALpha Kamilah. I want to talk to you, but I think it’s best saved for another time.” I started then continued, “I hope you could help Alpha Ace. His human mate is my friend and has also been captured by the fowlers. I do not want to tell her that her mate has died.”

Alpha Kamilah was looking at me, her chocolate brown eyes has been piercing me to my spot but I stood my ground.

She was testing me, squinting her eyes to test if I would bulge in intimidation. And when I did not, her lips formed a smirk,  “I like her, this she-wolf you brought to us, Gusev….and you are Arya right?”

I nodded.

“Well Arya, I normally wouldn't want to help other alphas, or welcome them, but seems that you can be trusted.” She said, now smiling at me, “Let’s go on our packhouse at once. Magnus, sweetheart, call the pack doctor.”

Alpha Magnus, who has been scowling at us, nodded at her order, “Alright, sweetheart.”

Around Alpha Kamilah, his mate Alpha Magnus seemed to just be a guard dog or servant. Alpha Kamilah seemed to be more of the boss here, which is a rare sight.

Seeing this makes me want to ask how ALpha Kamilah managed to do this… I have to know her ways.

“Great, let’s talk more inside.” She winked at me and Maximus instantly hurried Alpha Ace inside. Alpha Ace’s guard, Maximus came with him to the pack doctor while Gusev and I stayed behind with Alpha Kamilah.

I am thankful that Alpha Kamilah appeared and helped us instantly because if it wasn’t, then we might have been stuck with his mate Alpha Magnus who has been giving us looks of disapproval.

Alpha Kamilah decided to tour us around a bit to their packhouse. Everything was just the same as what we had back from the Midnight's pack of Alpha Zef and Kai. Except this one was bigger, given that Alpha Kamilah’s pack, Dark Crest pack, and Alpha Magnus's pack, which is Blood Lust pack, recently merged their territories as soon as their war was over.

And so far, from what I could see, Alpha Kamilah has been treating us nicely, which is opposite to what the rumors say. They say one look at her and we’ll freeze to stone, however, I had made many eye contacts with her yet I am still alive and breathing here.

Alpha Kamilah pulled me to the side and raised her eyebrows at me, “How are you with your twin mates?”

I smiled, “Uhm, I am alright.”

She chuckled, “I sense you're feeling wary of me, do not fear. I don’t kill anyone on sight just like the rumors say.”

She must have sensed my nervousness! I do not want her to think of that, “no, It’s just you are too beautiful.”

She blinked, “Awe, I like you. I know you have a strong heart.”

Behind us, I could hear Gusev and Alpha Magnus’s conversation, “Tsk, I knew this would happen. A human is never suited for a werewolf, much more to an alpha.”

“That is why I have been keeping an eye on her,” Gusev replied. “Yet Ace failed.”

“The Lycan King is getting weaker.” Alpha Kamilah said beside me. “I am afraid this would cause another battle between the alphas for that power.” She rolled her eyes at that as if hating the idea.

“As much as I hate Ace, I do not want another f*cking bloodshed.”

I nodded, agreeing with her.

Gusev communicated with Alpha Kamilah and explained the situation. She took a glance at me, “That’s impossible. The last time when we fought Druscilla, Magnus has made sure they were dead…”

I raised my eyebrows. Druscilla? As in the elder from the west region?

So that rumor was true? I only heard that they had bad blood with Alpha Kamilah as she caused imbalance to the world….I once thought that it wasn’t true….

“No way. It can’t be that fast for them to recover?” She sighed, patting me on the back, “I understand the situation now. This is a serious matter, we’ll help you as much as we can.”

That took me by surprise. Letting alpha Ace heal is enough for me, and having the famous Alpha queen step out of her way just to help us is a bit suspicious. Plus I seem to be getting many helps latwly. This is very new to me.

“Why?” I asked, “Why are you helping us?”

She looked at me as if it was a natural thing to do, “Because I am just like you once. Well, to be exact, I was captured by the fowlers too and was almos sold in an auction.”

I gasped. I never knew her life would be that rough….

She had too many experiences and traumas, and I feel like all my past traumas were nothing compared to her….

“What did it feel like there? To be captured by them?” I can’t help but ask.

She sighed, recalling the moment as if it just happened yesterday.

“It was definitely a scary situation. But I have Magnus. He helped me escape there.” She responded, “So let’s hope Kira’s mate, Lycan king would be fast enough to heal that poison.”

I nodded, agreeing to her.

They were talking for a while, while my mind was busy worrying about my friend, Kira. This is so ironic because why would I worry for a human, which is the race I hate the most and she’s in the hands of her kind.

If anything, that was not a capture or kidnap but she was saved by the fowlers.

I wonder what she’s thinking. I wonder what the fowlers did to her. And that damn Alpha Kai, I am very frustrated about his disappearance. We might have had a bit of an argument, but damn that was such wrong timing!

Alpha Kamilah decided to leave me along with my thoughts as she discussed something with her mate, Alpha Magnus.

“You’re thinking how the hell did both alphas manage to run one pack, isn’t it?” Gusev’s sneaky voice appeared behind me, which I had already expected given that I could smell his disgusting smell from here. I noticed he had a hold of a dead rat as he put a straw in its mouth. He had sunglasses in his eyes now.

I raised my eyebrows at him and he blinked at me.

“What? I am starving, I have to feed off animals for now.” He said, “I usually get my supply of blood from either bad people in clubs or blood banks but since there is a low supply, I wanted to drink Kira’s sweet blood but she’s not here…”

I sighed, shaking my head at him finding how strange he is for acting all relaxed there.

“Yeah, and she’s taken by the fowlers yet here we are, relaxing,” I said sarcastically.

“Relax. I know they won’t kill her, she’s human….but they might do far worse to her…..torture her body and spill all the werewolf's secrets, including the pack’s location, how many are there, the weakness and their strength...”

He then scrunched his nose in disgust at the rat he was holding, “I can’t wait to save Kira and drink her sweet blood!” He complained as he throw the dead rat on the ground.

I tilted my head to the side, “Save her? Do you have any plan then?”

“No, I’ll just bust in there and get her. Easy. Humans are weak.”

“It’s the fowlers, did you just see one of them beating down Alpha Ace?”

“Yes, I know, but they have tricks. As much as I enjoy teasing my friend Ace, it feels weird seeing him down like that.” He was shaking his head, “Poor alpha…”
