No Mercy
The beautiful woman who was just watching everything in silence now stood up and the air changed. Everyone got quiet as no one dared to speak up. The level of her authority was so bizarre.
“Speak.” She ordered, and I ignored her. No one could order me like that. I would never let anyone do that.
She hummed a tune “She’s fierce and has a face.” Said the woman, walking around me and grabbing my chin to make me look at her. She then gave me a crooked smile, “I hope we can work together as a team.”
Instead of replying, I spit on her face and smiled at her. “This place will be burned down to ashes.”
The leader and the other members of the Fowler gasped, “Madam!”
The woman stopped them, and grabbed a tissue to wipe her face, “It’s alright. She’s cute.”
She then glanced at the wall clock hanging by the door and called on two men and ordered, “Looks like it’s time. Take her now.”
I blink, knowing they will put me out now. Meaning, my perfect time to escape. The two men then put on a mask on my face and I let them direct me outside the room.
When they grabbed my chains, I quickly sunk my teeth into the men’s arms and they yelped in pain. I jab our stomachs and weaken our knees, it didn’t affect me much as the men then put a cloth on my mouth and eyes and dragged me out of the room.
I could barely even feel my feet now, realizing I may be drugged a bit that I couldn't even dare to run away but then I could hear cheering from nearby. An emcee and there must be a crowd on a stage. Damn.
I could smell the stench of liquor, cigarette, and vomit all around masked with some high-quality perfume.
The more I am directed to the stage, the more my feet were aching to run in the opposite direction.
The same leader came up to me and pulled the blindfold off of me. He grabbed my chin and made me look into his eyes.
I glared at him, and he smirked, “Hmm, it would be a waste to sell you. Change of plans, I’ll be keeping you in my bedroom.”
The girl with a lollipop stopped him, “Not if I can experiment on her first.”
Added the teenager, “Can you guys stop? I want to ask her for information about how the werewolf world works. I have to add it to my writing-“
Both their leader and the girl with the lollipop stopped him, “Stop with your werewolf fanfiction.”
“Alright, the werewolf alpha. Sold for 1 billion!” I heard from outside and I gulped.
That must be Alpha Kai. Damn. To they are merciless.
The leader of the fowlers himself was the one who was escorting me.
Sh*t. This is just shitty as my luck.
I would have had a chance if it was not for the leader.
Once I an inside that room of his, I know that it would be twice heavily guarded, making my escape plan zero chance.
There is no perfect time to start other than now.
Ace himself said that since I am small, I should take advantage of being quick and not letting them catch me.
Well, it's all for nothing then. I knew we were reaching his door when suddenly, I put my hands on his throat. He was quick enough to dodge me and grabbed my arm, “Ah, you have moved there. Did you learn it from your mate?”
I gritted my teeth, I should have expected that he would have a quick reflex.
Just then, I could hear the walls behind us collapsing, followed by hands grabbing me as the leader fell and some bricks fell on his body.
“There you are princess, I’ve been looking for you.” My savior was a man as he said it. The voice was too familiar for me not to recognize and as soon as he took off his mask, I gasped at the sight.
“Was my cover so good that you didn’t recognize me?” Ace said.
A tear escaped my eyes from seeing him, and pure relief washed over me. “What took you so long?”
My voice broke and tear after tear fell like waterfalls. He’s here. Finally here. I instantly let my guard down as all I could think was happiness. I knew he would come for me.
With one scoop on me, Ace’s strong hands carried me in his hand's bridal style and I could feel his anger with the way his sharp jaw was clenching.
“I apologize for arriving late. I’ll make them pay. They should be having a death wish for messing up with my mate.”
He broke the chains I had on my hands and feet, and carefully slid a key into the metal necklace on my neck. As soon as I was free, I felt my feet going numb and I almost fell to the ground, except Ace caught me.
He pulled me in a hug as he whispered in my ear, “You’re safe now, I am here now, baby.” He then scooped me up in his arms and started to run in a flash with one hand carrying me.
He entered each room, his hands shifting into his sharp claws and he rampaged on every man he would see. Security instantly alerted us, deploying armed men to us but Ace's hand just scratched them, killing them on the spot.
“Close your eyes. I’ll kill anyone in my sight. I won’t be showing them mercy.” He whispered to me and I smirked, “Go on, I want to see it with my own eyes.”
He nodded, still in his rampage mode. He really was not showing any mercy as he went full blown attacking them, massacring them. When we reached the Fowler’s room, they fired some strange weapons at us but Ace was quick to crack our bones and kill them.
Everyone was almost dead, except the old man, our leader. “You killed enough of my men, bastard!” He yelled in rage, pointing at us his machine gun, and continued firing.
But Ace’s skin felt like his skin was made out of stone as it didn’t even have any effect on him. He blocked every bullet and instead, grabbed a metal to fire it back at him. The bullet pierced straight into his heart, knocking out his life.
“Let’s leave this shitty hole now.” Muttered Ace but I stopped him, remembering Mark. “We have to save someone. Mark..”
Ace’s expression changed the moment he heard the name. “So the Fowlers caught him…how?….”
I sighed, “I’ll explain later.”
We go to the room earlier where I somehow thought where Mark was. And when we entered, I could see him looking blankly at the wall.
His eyes had completely turned black as if infected with a disease. He was wearing no shirt, except the worn-out denim pants and the necklace on his neck.
Dirt was all over his body, but he got thin and weak and pale so he must have lost a lot of blood.
When he noticed our presence, he called out to me, not believing I had made it out. “Kira?”
He then glanced at Ace beside me and nodded at him, “So he came for you..”
Ace gulped, seeing his past subordinate, “Mark..”
