CHAPTER FIVE
Well, Jane was always food for scorn at school, and today they had way more at the platter of gold.
"Did she fall in the pool or ocean?" They burst into shrill laughter.
Her eyes were still streaming with tears, as she covered her face and quickly walked out of their faces.
What did she do to the Moon goddess to curse her so badly? She lamented as tears streamed her cheek.
She shivered from the cold, and her clothes were all wet.
She walked over to the principal office to lay a complaint, it was best to tell her about the usual bullying and wickedness meted out to her by Alice and her goons.
She went over to the principal office and knocked, which she got in immediately.
"I....I...Just...And..They....They," Jane was scared now to utter a single sentence.
"Miss Jane, take a seat over there. I'll call Beta Peter to pick you up. School isn't done for another fifteen minutes." she went back to sorting papers on her desk.
"Okay." She whispered.
Peter was Jane's father's Beta, and he was more invested in her upbringing than her actual parents.
She took a seat on one of the chairs shivering with cold and crying as she waited on her uncle(Beta) to pick her up.
"So Miss Jane, what happened? Did someone do this to you?" Jane threw a confused look.
She was taken aback by her question. The principal saw her minutes ago drenched with toilet water, her face swollen red, and her slowed down limping movement.
So why was she acting as though she wasn't in ownership of her eyes earlier?
She nodded obediently, wiping her tears, and pushing her hair back that splattered her face dripping with toilet water yuck.
"I'm so sorry child, bullying is unacceptable and I will take care of the perpetrators.
I want you to please do me this favor, please don't tell your Beta about this little incident." She pleaded.
Did she call this a little incident? Jane thought She had scratches numerous times, eggs had been thrown at her and she had been pushed from her seat in class by Alice and her dogs.
With all this happening Alice never gets expelled from the school, she was just one of the numerous people she has bullied in school and no one has ever stood up to her.
Jane nods once again, wiping tears with her left palm.
"So what are their names?" The principal asked intently.
Jane wondered in bewilderment, she did nothing to Alice and she did this to her.
Imagine if she did do something what will she do? Alice will kill her.
Alice demanded she kiss her toes and she refused during their high school sports training session.
That must have infuriated Alice to the core as she angrily walked off.
"I...Don't..know," Jane replied with hesitation.
"Hmmm okay child, but please stop crying. I don't want you to fall sick." The principal cooed softly with a smile.
We heard Knocks on the door, "Must be your pack Beta...come in." The principal welcomed him.
"Jane," Came the Beta cool voice, even though Jane has known him all her life his voice still gives her chills.
She looked up and gazed at him leaning at the door, his eyes roaming over where she sat.
"What are you doing here?" Jane asked fidgeting.
"You're hurt." He replied instead, Jane followed his gaze and looked at her wrist.
She could see that one of those girls stuck their nails in to hurt her wrist.
"Jane, who hurt you?" He thundered, his eyes growing dark and his veins almost popping out.
Beta Peter would have their heads for breakfast and Jane doesn't want any head rolling because of her.
She had to take control of this, else there would be an uproar of bloodshed.
"No one, Beta, you know I get clumsy most times. I got into the toilet and the lights went out, I walked wrongly and fell, my feet got bruised and trying to stand up my skirt tore."
She sounded convincing and he nodded, she could see worry etched on his face.
"Are you sure? Tell me the truth angel. " He demanded, still not convinced with her tale.
"I'm telling you the truth, you can go ahead and ask the principal. That's why I sat here, she instructed me not to leave her sight because of my clumsy behavior." She replied and laughed.
Beta looked at the principal, she nodded according to Jane's explanation, after sending her a wink.
"Okay, come on, let's go home and bandage that up." A scowl was still evident on his face, he was still upset.
"You worry too much, it's fine," Jane muttered.
"Shhh...Not another word, I'm upset with you." He gave her a hand, as she stood up and walked out of the office.
She walked to the car with him and they got in, She saw a grocery bag on the car seat.
Awwww Beta, always a sweetheart, she saw her favorite candies, chocolates, and sweets.
Yea she got a sweet tooth, and he spoils her recklessly.
"This is exactly why I hate to let you out of my sight." His words brought her out of her thoughts.
"It was my fault, I will be careful next time, sorry." Jane held her ears like a rabbit and pouted as he smiled and worded 'It alright'.
They got to the packhouse and got upstairs to her bedroom, Beta quickly gets the first aid box and bandages her wrist.
"Do you feel better?" He asked after applying some medicine to her feet, and bandage. He gave her some pain relief tablets to help her kill the pain.
"It's fine, it was just a minor injury." She replied nonchalantly.
"Jane, you're so stubborn, what will I do with you?"
He facepalmed and she smiled, "Please let me go to school." Jane begged, pouting with a cute face.
"If you act right and don't get into any stupid falls." He pinches her cheeks playfully, she giggles and swats his hands off.
"So go to bed, and have some sleep. The drugs will start taking effect soon." He instructed.
"It's too early," She whined like a baby and he shot her a glare.
He got up and folded his hands akimbo, he had an amused smirk on his face.
"If you don't go to bed, I won't let you attend school tomorrow." Her mouth hung out in shock.
"Okay, you win, I will go to sleep." She raised her hands in surrender, they both burst into laughter and she felt elated to have her pack Beta around to save the day.
He walked to her wardrobe and brought out Jane's favorite pajamas that had her icon 'Hannah Montana' character displayed on them.
She was under the bed covers and watched him keenly, he walked over to where she laid and gestured the Pyjamas at her.
He wanted her to go over and change into something better. "And some dry, cool PJs?" He asked.
"Nah maybe tomorrow, I am tired and my eyes are drowning." She replied and that came with a loud yawn.
She was tired for the day and her stomach was stuffed with lots of food she had eaten.
He laughs at her tired yawn, "Oh princess have a goodnight's sleep." He kissed her on the forehead.
"Goodnight, Beta." She replied stretching with a yawn.
"Should I get the lights?" He asked at the door, he had gotten the pajamas back into the closet.
"Beta I'm scared of the dark." She screamed and he laughed and booed at her.
"I will just close the windows, you scared little wolf." He went over, closed the windows, and walked off the door.
"That better," She muttered drowsily, her eyes got shot and soon she was in deep sleep.
Dreaming about her fated beloved mate, and how he rides up with a dark mighty horse.
He saves her from all her problems and pled unconditional and undying love to her.
