ALPHA PSYCHO LOVE
CHAPTER EIGHT
"No, my twin sister lives there and I haven't seen her in years. I plan to stay with her for a while and I guess l will find a good-paying job." Sasha replied.
She was surprised at her ability to hold this conversation, usually, she was so overcome with P.T.S.D and social anxiety that she could barely let out a smile and yet here she was.
Talking smoothly with a stranger, She blamed it on the alcohol and desperation at this point.
"Well, I've got to get back to work. Here's another glass, you've already finished the first one. Anyway, good luck darling." The Flight Attendant took her empty glass of Vodka and replaced it with a filled one.
Sasha gave her an appreciative smile and turned to look out the plane's window.
She leaned her head back, a feeling of peace and tranquility coming over me as my eyes began to feel heavy.
Before she knew it she had drifted off to sleep.
That was her first peaceful sleep in a five-year problematic marriage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, flight 222 will be arriving in SilverLine in two minutes. Please put on your seat belts and prepare for landing." Sasha's eyes flung open at the sound of the Announcement and it took her a while to register her surroundings and regain proper consciousness.
It was not long after a few glances did she remember, she was on a plane escaping from a hell hole.
Somehow, she had managed to drift in and out of sleep the entire flight and her half-empty glass of Vodka sat in front of her.
She downed the rest of it in one hard gulp before putting on her seat belt.
Leaning back as the plane starts its descent, It didn't take long before it touched the ground and her heart began beating quickly.
She almost forgot how to fly, but she had done it. She was here in SilverLine, millions of Kilometers away from him.
"I've missed you," Susan exclaimed, as she sighted her from afar.
Susan came over rushing towards her, she moved to hug Sasha but she jerked away suddenly, her stretched arms scaring me.
"Sasha?" Susan questioned, she was confused by her display as her eyes hurt.
"I'm sorry, it's been a long flight and I'm kinda exhausted." Susan smiled gently, taking Sasha into her arms, and embraced her lovingly.
Alpha Jude who was reluctant at first, joined them. For the first time in a long time, she felt safe.
"I'm so incredibly happy to see you!" Sasha cried, finally releasing some pent-up emotions.
She hadn't seen them since the death of their parents four years ago. She had forgotten what it felt like to have a real family.
Susan smiled, as she caressed Sasha's face lovingly and chuckled before turning to the house.
"Bianca!" She called, "Please tell Adam to bring Sasha's luggage to her room."
"No," Sasha protested,
"I can do that myself."
"Nonsense, Sweetheart he'll do it. You go on into the house, explore a little, go find your room. We have so much catching up to do later, so get some rest." Susan insisted on swatting Sasha's hands away and pushing her towards their house.
The house was big but cozy at the same time, nice decorations and family pictures adorned the wall giving the large house a homely feeling.
Sasha found herself mesmerized by a picture of her father when he was younger, he had a football in his hands and was smiling cheekily to the camera.
She moved her attention from the photograph before it could release the floodgates of pain.
After briefly exploring the kitchen, garden, living, and dining room.
She made her way upstairs, it didn't take long before she saw a door with her name on it. Boldly written 'SASHA''
"I wonder what is in this room," She mumbled to herself, opening the door and stepping into the room.
It was simple yet elegant, it had white curtains, white bedsheets, everything looked white and expensive.
It was very spacious and next to the bed there was a large window that stared out into the neighboring houses which were identical to this one.
She opened her windows as the sun hit her face, a small smile tugged at her lips.
The sun shone through the window, its rays resting on her face.
Warming it up, the birds singing replaced the loud aggressive words that she was used to. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment.
The fresh air, the Pack scent, the whistling of the birds, all this poured into her soul and created a warmness in her heart that made her come alive.
She turned back around admiring the beauty of her room, but truth be told it didn't matter how the room looked.
As long as it wasn't her room from home she was happy.
Her previous room held too many painful memories so it was like a breath of fresh air stepping into this one.
A mate was supposed to look out for the other, love, care and above all cherish but she had someone who was the exact opposite.
She was jinxed by the Moon goddess to be gifted such a mate, her wolf had been imprisoned and shut down through torture for years. He was a beast, and she had no power to fight him or to involve her sister in her problems.
She sat on the bed, her hands running over the softness of the duvet.
She was no longer in the dangerous atmosphere, instead, she had escaped being with her sister here in Silverline Pack.
It wasn't something she enjoyed doing but it was something she needed to do, she needed to escape the toxic and dangerous atmosphere she was in.
She hadn't had a moment of such peace and tranquility in a long time, she found herself at ease. But this relaxation had allowed her mind to wander, allowing her mind to bring up memories she was trying to forget.
She walked to the bed and laid down feeling better. The softness of the bed made her feel flush and before she knew it she was almost dozing off to sleep.
"Sasha, are you alright?" Susan made a shrill sound.
"Oh, you're asleep," Sasha's eyes flung open and her attention was stolen by Luna who stood in the doorway, anticipating her response.
She rubbed her eyes and gave a tiring yawn. She was all smiles, but Luna Susan knew she saw some questionable things.
"I love it," She said and jumped out of bed, she wore her flip flops and offered Susan to come in.
"What's going on? There's sadness in your eyes no matter how you try to hide it. Tell me what went wrong? After you got married you cut off from me, your twin sister, your family." Luna Susan asked she didn't stop to catch her breath.
"Uh... I've been battling some few adjustments, been married, and growing my book club. I came over to spend some time, till I find what to do with myself" Sasha lied.
