Cooperative
I had thought I was free from his chains. From seeing that morbid creature standing in front of me. I was too dumb to even hope for the impossible.
And worse, I am hoping for Creed to save me. Believing that he would. What made me even think that we are that close for him to worry about me? He may be my mate, but his nature is still to kill.
Is it bad, knowing the harsh truth yet still wishing for him to come to save me like a damsel in distress? In times of despair, I am not even thinking of myself.
“Sister, loosen up, I am too busy to even mind someone as little as you.” Ceylan’s sinister eyes met mine, and I glared at Alpha Fenris beside him.
“Hmm..this is not what I expected as a brother and sister reunion.”
“Read the room.” My brother snapped at him, which made even
Now I have a plan. Making them as enemies. Seducing Alpha Fenris and making him against my brother.
“I have a special someone I’d like you to meet.” Those words felt familiar and it felt too traumatizing to even hear that sentence at this point. Soon enough, my suspicions of bad news came true.
It was Ravena. Ravena is in Ceylan’s hands.
“Ravena.” I can’t help but mutter. Ravena was looking at me with an unknown emotion.
Ceylan saw the confusion in my eyes and he seemed satisfied. He paced around me as he whispered, “I was trying to snoop around this uprising I hear who kills alphas and sacks packs.” He said, “Do you know this so-called Ravager?”
I clenched my teeth. What is he getting at?
Ceylan grabbed Ravena by the neck, “But looks like I don’t have to sniff out some dirt…His so-called loyal servant is here offering herself to me.”
I frowned, Ravena would do that?
Ravena couldn't meet my eyes. I wanted to say that she might have her reasons, that she might have her plan…I am trying to find a reason for this sudden betrayal as she’s the most loyal she-wolf that I have ever known.
“Oh? Can’t hide your confusion? Do not worry, you are going to be with her soon…I’m still waiting for her guardian’s blessing for our union. Do not worry you are invited, of course, and that is why you are granted permission to appear here. consider this as your privilege.”
I gritted my teeth, he’s continuing spilling more irritating facts just so he could hear something from me.
I am not that dumb. But I am so tired of being held captive for too long. I feel like I am made in this world just so I could be a slave of some crazy arrogant ass trying to rule the world.
He’s making her his concubine when he already has his mate. I could feel Alpha Fenris’s eyes trailing on me.
“Ceylan. That’s enough chitchat with your sister. I know you miss her but you have a lot of time catching up. However, I want to get to know her.”
Ceylan rolled his eyes and left cursing under his breath.
That response alone made me smirk. They may have had an agreement of working together but that does not mean that they get along well. That is my chance. My chance of softening Alpha Fenris's heart, seducing him and turning the tide, and making him my brother’s enemy.
He went closer to me and grabbed my chin, “I wanted for us to meet in a fancy way. Did you know that I have made all the necessary preparations for our wedding last time?”
He sighed, “I was too excited to meet you that day you know...if only that damn Ravager had not come to steal you away from me.”
I frowned, he looked sad. But I know better than that to be easily fooled. For all I know, this man has all kinds of cards up his sleeve.
alas, His eyes were very much perceptive, and noticed my expression, “You don't look scared. Do you think Ravager will come and save you? But does he care for you? We know how aggressive and cruel that lone wolf is.”
He is not wrong at that. And all I could do was stay quiet.
“Can we bet on it then? If he comes, that means he cares. But I am 100 sure he wouldn’t. He wouldn't risk his plans just for some random pitiful she wolfs to save.”
I am not entirely sure but I feel like I know Creed better now. He wouldn't just give up his loyal subordinate. He’s a man of principles no matter how others made him to be cruel.
“It's a deal then.”
He then shook his head and forced a smile on his face, “Forgive me, I wanted us to meet normally but threats don’t work on you so I have to take you by force.”
I looked at him in disgust, “You don’t have to force a smile, I could smell the darkness in your heart even a kilometer away from here.”
He chuckled, “Wow, that’s the longest sentence you ever made. I didn’t know you have those funny nerves in your bones.”
“Didn’t you run away and used a decoy for Ravager to kill? If you were strong enough, you would have faced him and fought him to death.” I told him.
“I had to make plan B and sacrifice my pack members. You don’t know how it hurt me, dear Nyra. I watched my pack members die at the hands of my enemy. Nothing matters to me more than my pack members.”
“But you let them die because of your incompetence,” I mumbled.
“Incompetence?” He asked, not believing my words.
“Yes, incompetence. Knowing how weak you are, you just fled and even sided with Ceylan, an inexperienced good for nothing bastard. We both know he does not fit to rule my father's pack.” I stated, starting my plan. “Come on, Fenris, I know you are better than this. you fought side by side with my father. You are strong enough to kill my brother and dethrone him yet here you are, lowering yourself.”
That seems to feed his ego. “Hmmm, you are your father’s daughter.”
I shrugged.
alpha Fenris looked at me with bright hopeful eyes. He then grabbed both my shoulders, “Hmm..what say if I grab your pack back to you? And then we can join our packs together?”
Hmm…that does not sound bad…he’s willing to risk his life and team up with me…once he wins and gives my pack back to me, I could kill him then...For now, he is my ticket out of here. I have to be careful with my words and be cooperative with him if I want to stay alive,
“If you can do that, then I’ll let you be my mate. Knowing you, I know you can do a simple task like that.”
He then grabbed my lips and slammed his. I wanted to pull away, but I realized how I should be cooperative and just gulped down all my disgust for now. When he pulled away he smiled, “I’ll have them transfer you near my room. Take a rest for now.”
I smiled at him, and when he left, I knew that I just successfully captured his heart for now. Well then, time to capture his head next.
