Monster
The she-wolf nodded and grabbed me, “Just tell me!”
“See him? That is the problem. Now if you want to chit chat and get attacked, leave. I’ll get him in control.” He said as Amari grabbed me away from the place.
A monster. That was what I already thought as I saw him.
Mixed emotions filled me, yet I don’t even know what to do. How to react.
Or how to move now.
I looked at Amari who was guarding me and she just quietly stood there, “Is he…always like that?”
She blinked, “Yes.” She shortly replied.
“How many minutes does he last in that state?” I question again.
“I believe I do not have the freedom to reveal anything now. This is not my place to say, I apologize.” She replied with a bow.
I sighed, wondering what happened now. I wanted to take a peek, want to check what happened to them but I couldn’t since the place was now a bit away.
Howls were heard inside the room along with the place sounding like it was being tossed around.
All their pack members were surrounding the whole place, full of alert and just quietly standing on guard, waiting for any signal.
After a loud howl, things seemed to stop and only silence was the only thing that we could hear.
I watched as everyone tensed when Zef appeared with blood splattered on his shirt. He was pushing his arm so he must have been injured.
He was shouting orders to almost everybody and when he passed me. I couldn’t help but ask, “Zef! How is it?”
He just stared at me, panting. He was trying to catch his breath before shaking his head, “ You need to go back to your room.”
“I won’t until you say anything to me.”
He scoffed, “Tsk, stubborn mate. Arya, you’ll eventually know this but for now…It’s a price that he must pay unwillingly….being born with that. An uncontrolled urge to kill.”
“Amari, take her back to her room.”
Amari then nodded and guided me back to my assigned room. I wanted to go to sleep, but after what happened, I couldn’t even catch a wink.
Amari then nodded and guided me back to my assigned room. I wanted to go to sleep, but after what happened, I couldn’t even catch a wink.
I just laid back down and just blankly stared at the wall.
Goodness.
This day was both surprising and…unexpected.
But what bothered me was Kai’s savage expression.
**
I didn’t notice how I was able to finally fall asleep and when the sun hit my face, I flinched.
The morning was strangely quiet and too odd. When I opened the door, I wasn’t greeted with the usual snobby Kai or Zef’s smiling face.
They must have been busy repairing the whole packhouse after everything that happened last night.
I couldn’t even catch a glimpse of the alpha twins but I could see the omegas and deltas working together to repair the whole place.
Just then, I managed to bump into Amari who was avoiding eye contact with me but it was too late. I already saw him.
“Hey! Amari!” I yelled, making the others turn their heads at us.
Amari pursed her lips and sighed, not having any choice but to notice me.
She then approached me and whispered, “Follow me.”
She walked towards the opposite end and to the farthest place away from the other members. I ended up following behind him blindly before she faced me.
“What was it?”
I cleared my throat, “Where is Zef?”
She blinked in confusion, “He’s your mate. You should be able to sense where he is. Or mind link? Some even hear their mate's thoughts.”
I raised my eyebrows, “Oh…is that it? I couldn’t even hear his thoughts or sense him…”
She nodded understandingly at my struggle, “It must be because since you were a past rogue and you have the twin alpha’s, your body must have still been adjusting…”
I nodded. Maybe that’s it…
“Then, I must return-“
“Can I…talk to you again?” I cut her sentence off, “Like this? As friends?”
She paused, “Why?”
I pursed my lips and glanced down, “I don’t have anyone here I can talk to. They seem to avoid me…”
Staying here for almost a week now with no one to talk to other than the alphas is frustrating.
“They are either avoiding you because they are both jealous and scared of you. You’re our future Luna after all.” Amari replied, a bit reassuring me.
I nodded, she has a point. I know that. But in the short time I am going to stay here, I want to know more and gather information.
And one thing I can do is by staying with Amari. She may not be the approachable and friendly type but Amari is what she needs right now.
She’s a strong she-wolf that could fight and seems to not be the type to be jealous or easily intimidated.
“Fine. You can reach out to me if you need more help. I got to go.” Amari said before leaving me alone.
I decided to walk around and watch the forest. The smell of the leaves falling and the morning dew by the mountain was relaxing. The ground was still wet, a sign that it must have rained last night.
I watched at the tall packhouse that stood meters from here. I couldn’t believe I am staying there…until I get my revenge but for now, I have to endure.
A leaf rustled and my ears perked up, sensing that, I turned in the direction and saw red eyes turning black and a shirtless Kai standing there behind the tree.
“I know you’re there,” I spoke up.
I am sure it is Kai since I could sense his scent nearby. He refused to talk, just staring blankly at me.
He seems to have transformed back from being his black werewolf.
“Are you just going to stand and stare at me the whole day?” I turned to him and his eyes widened.
