Won't Care!! Even If She's Dead!!

Author's POV.

"Sir!! Abby!! Abby is.. she is .." The nurse panted as she choked on her words but still tried to maintain her voice.

She had her both hands placed on her knee as a support to her body which was weak after running from Abby's ward to the doctor's office.

She had this worried look on her face and from the look of things, it was obvious that she knew that something was wrong.

"What happened to Abby ? Speak up Mira!" Doctor Albert who had kept on waiting in bated breath wced his hand on her right shoulder as he questioned earnestly.

He just couldn't hold in the fact that Abby was going through alot and the nurse couldn't even open up to him because she felt she had ran a marathon just to get to the doctor's office.

"Could you just speak up Mira!!?" Albert ordered with a loud voice which had the nurse trembling on her feet.

"She is.. she…" She kept on stuttering like she wasn't just sure about what to say.

Seeing that she couldn't open up immediately and was still scared, it was obvious that she had a meaningful and serious information to pass to them.

Albert paused for a while and had kept on looking at her reaction when she was about pronouncing Abby's name.

It was then that it had dawned on him that something was definitely not okay with the lady in the room.

"Abby?" He said out gently as he gazed at the nurse.

He had pronounced her name three times before he suddenly got himself and dashed out of the office.

"Fuck!! Abby is in danger!!" He exclaimed with fear as he ran out of his office to go take a quick look at Abby who seemed to not be fine.

Jack on the other hand had realized that Abby was wasn't okay but he just wouldn't care about her anymore.

'She had the guts to try kill or eliminate my child so why the hell should I give a tiny fuck about her whereabouts?' he said Inwardly as a scoff followed his annoying gesture.

He folded his arms around each other before he looked away from the door which he had kept his gaze fixed on for so long after the doctor ran out of his office.

He just had this thought in his head that Abby had knowingly drank so much alcohol because she wanted to terminate the child in her womb.

He went over to the seat in Doctor Albert's office and had to make himself comfortable .

Jack was the only one in the office but seeing how he had kept on soliloquizing, it looked as though he was with someone in the doctor's office.

"She wants me to come take a look at her? What the hell happened to her that isn't just an act? She wants my attention and my love? In her wildest dreams" Jack humphed with a tsk following his statement.

"Why should I even care about someone who clearly stated that she was just with me because of my good dick and because I love her? Isn't that crazy? I wondered why I still went ahead to propose to her!" he said out regretfully with disgust in his facial expression.

He was bitter knowing that Abby was the reason for her condition.

Jack was still in the doctor's office talking to himself when suddenly, the door opened from behind .

He jerked hearing the door open forcefully. He was scared that maybe, someone must have walked into the room to kill him or yell out at him but the moment he spurned around to see who it was, he realized that it was the nurse who had came into the doctor's office before.

It was nurse Mira standing by the side of the door with her gaze placed on Jack who kind of looked confused at why she had kept on looking at him and not working.

"May I be of help to you nurse?" He tilted his head to the left as he inquired.

He wasn't sure why she had suddenly stopped by the door side but he knew she was staring at him because of Abby.

He was only waiting for her to say or state her reasons for coming into the office without permission.

"The doctor request for your presence sir!" She stated clearly with a soft voice.

"And why would he be looking for me or…" Jack scoffed before he rolled his eyes.

He darted his gaze from the nurse and had it fixed on the table that was beside him.

He paused for a while chuckling before he spoke out.

"Why does he wants me? Why is he looking for my presence when he can actually work alone? After all, I am just a guardian to a patient and not his assistant doctor!" Jack stood up from the seat the moment he ended his statement.

He dipped his hands into his pockets and he had this cold aura that surrounded him as he moved closer to nurse Mira.

"I am just doing as I was told to do sir. I am sorry if I was being a bother" She apologised and before Jack could get any closer to her, she fled from his presence so he wouldn't touch her just like he did to her colleague.

"Abby? I hope you are okay? I hope everything is going well down there?" Albert Inquired with a worried look on her as she laid helplessly on her bed.

Abby was pretty down or ill and it was part of the pains she had to go through because of the substance she drank on the day of her proposal.

"I am okay.. I think I'll be fine" She sighed as she tried to sit up on her bed .

She could feel her body turning into a war zone for different kinds of illness every minute of the day.

She wasn't sure why and had to ask because the pains all over her body were quite alarming.

"Can I ask you a quick question, Doctor Albert?" She started with her gaze on him.

Doctor Albert, who was still arranging his equipment so he could leave, had to stop what he was doing for a while just to listen to her question.

"Sure Abby. I am all ears…." He responded with a cheerful smile on his face.

He wouldn't want his patient to complain about his services to them. He was honest, cool, kind and sweet and no matter what, he had to protect that good name he had.

"Why was… why was my husband that way earlier?" She probed as she awaited his response for her question.

She wasn't just happy that her husband Jack had suddenly stormed into her room earlier just to hit her.

She never imagined such and would love to know why he acted that way..

"He didn't tell you? Why then did he yell like You were going to kill him when you knew nothing?" Albert thought out loud with a perplexed look on his face.

"I am just as surprised as you are a doctor" She said swiftly like she was in a hurry to get a response from him.

"Well .. I don't really know how to say this to you Abby, it is really…." Albert was still trying to explain but Abby was already set to get the news so age had to cut in.

"Just go straight to the point Doctor Albert!!" She stated clearly as age shook her head .

"Okay then Mrs. Abby….. you won't be able to give birth to your child as a normal child…. In a brief but more specific explanation, you are going to have a stillbirth Abby." Albert elaborated with a sad gaze on Abby.

Abby clenched her fingers on her bed sheets and all that came out from her was just a torrent of tears flowing from her eyes.

She was totally in pain but the issue was that she wasn't in pain because she was giving birth to a premature child but because Alex was going to come home to see a premature baby in her arms and that wasn't going to be pleasing to the eyes.

She was still trying to end her agony when she suddenly heard the doctor call on her husband who was passing by.

"Hey Jack!! Where are you heading to? I remembered calling you" Albert beaconed as he ran out of Abby's room.

"That's why he hates me huh? Because of the child?" She placed her right hand on her face and wiped off the tears that just wouldn't stop pouring out from her eyes.

"I wished I .. I wish it was just…." she choked on her sobs as she tried speaking out to herself.

She was totally off track at this point and had totally understood the reason Jack was really crazy earlier that day.

'That was the point he was trying to make! I caused it all' she soliloquized in her room with her eyes turning Red.

She was trying to figure out a way to make Jack calm, to make him see reasons with her when suddenly, a statement he made had just pulled her off balance.

"Listen Albert!! She caused this to herself so please!! Leave me out of this!" Jack begged with a cold glare at Albert.

He had taken three steps forward when he suddenly stopped to make one last statement.

"Besides, if she wants to take her life… I won't care!!" Jack asserted like a cold hearted and Ruthless billionaire who never loved Abby.

Abby heard it all, Abby became bitter that she wished she never had a child.
