~Arian Storm~
The entire time before and after I greeted the other Alphas, my eyes were always on my beautiful mate.
Actually, she should have been up here with me. But instead she's standing down there, eyes fixed expectantly on the door.
From minute to minute I noticed her nervousness more and also something like insecurity?
Was she afraid that her parents wouldn't come? Alpha Leo has already sent me his confirmation of the invitation. In an email he reported that he would be quite willing to meet the mate who broke his daughter's heart and that he would definitely give me a second chance.
If only she'd give me another chance...
Hopefully the surprise I prepared in front of the toilets in her room after the incident was successful.
After a long wait for the last Alpha, a young Alpha unexpectedly arrived who, except for the color of his hair, bore a great deal of resemblance to Lou. I think I met him in her pack when we were looking for her. But I didn't spend much time with him.
But from his aura and the resemblance he bears to my mate, I'd say he's her older brother. I know that my little one also comes from an alpha family.
But what is he doing here? I thought I might surprise Lou with her parents. Will she be happy to see her brother instead?
The young man's gaze, which was actually supposed to be out of respect for me, passed me by.
I turned to my right to see where he was looking.
As the only source, I could only identify Felia, who had released Steven's arm and took a step forward.
Her body was tense and her breathing was way too fast.
No right? Not her. Not now.
"Oh no," my dad said menacingly. He was about to reach out his free arm for his daughter, but my mom caught him halfway and gave him an enticing grin, wiggling her eyebrows.
In the meantime, Felia had stepped further forward, while Lou's brother crossed the hall with brisk steps. He was almost there when Felia ran down the few steps from the ridge and caught up with him.
The next moment she was in his arms and he had buried his nose in her black silky curls.
"No no no. Why now?" I heard my father complaining behind me. My mother calmed him down and said that he should be happy.
"If he keeps touching her like that, he'll be able to dig his grave on his own." He continued to complain.
I just shook my head at that and looked for Lou in the crowd.
She too was very surprised by what she found. No wonder. After all, she reckoned with her parents and instead her brother comes, who also finds his mate here. MY SISTER!
You could also see a little sadness and disappointment in her, so that I would have liked to bugger her. But somehow I also felt guilty for it. Her good mood earlier was obvious.
"What's your name, mate?" Lou's brother asked after a few minutes.
"Felia," my little sister replied shyly, looking up at him with wide eyes.
"I'm Lucian." He smiled happily at her and tucked a few strands of her tangled hair behind her ear.
They looked at each other for hours until he finally looked up and met me.
Well finally. Since my sister is his mate, I won't blame him for once.
With Felia in his arms, he came up to me on the rise and then shook my hand.
"I'm Lucian Wilson of the Darkforest pack. I know they actually invited my father, but I'll take over the pack at the next full moon, so my father felt it was right to send me."
I took his hand. "I am pleased to meet you. I'm Arian Storm, your mate's brother."
Though the handshake was meant to be friendly, I put a little more force into it as a warning not to hurt my sister. After all, I know how stupid you can be and just throw away a piece of gold. And I'm still paying for it, every day.
Lucian nodded, silently promising to take care of my sister. It just dawned on me that she would soon be moving to another pack on another continent. But somehow it's fair. Finally, I took his only sister away from him, even though she came here on her own.
After greeting me, he turned to my beta and then introduced himself to the rest of my family. Finally, he greeted the other Alphas who were also standing here.
As far as I could tell, my father had also used extra strength to shake hands. His whole demeanor was menacing and his eyes pricked Lucian's. He, in turn, didn't let it show and was very calm. respect for him.
When things finally calmed down a bit, I asked the other Alphas to follow me to the back room where I was going to hold my meeting with them.
But before I disappeared through the door, I turned my head again to look for Lou in the crowd. I found her alongside the redhead, Zara and my pal Alex. She chatted with her best friend, but what bothered me was that Linus was also standing next to her.
Although she had made it clear to me that nothing was going on and that Linus would be really stupid if he touched the Luna, a low growl came out of me.
It's been getting worse and worse lately. I could hardly bear to see her around other men. Even with mated males I had problems. Of course it was worse with unmates like Linus.
Although it was difficult for me not to snatch her from the group and carry her to a room where it's just us, I forced myself to turn and follow the other Alphas into the briefing room.
This woman will drive me crazy!
