~Amy~
In my head I collected pros and cons. If I stayed here I would have a new pack. Definitely Pro. I would also have protection from my old one. Likewise per. I would have to stay with Mason. contra!
What would his mate say if I stayed with him? I would probably get kicked out.
Oh fuck it.
"Okay" I said and all heads snapped in my direction. "How about?" asked Peter, stunned. "If you want me here, I'll stay." I meant honestly. Mary's eyes lit up and she hugged me tightly.
"It's really nice that you're staying here," she said happily and let go of me again. The girl at the table hugged me too, even though I had no idea who she was.
Mason's family stopped eating and they took it upon themselves to show me around the village. "Well, this is where the settlements begin." she said and pointed to a row of houses. All houses were built in the same style as Masons. We walked through the settlement, which turned out to be larger than previously thought. Mason stayed at home and so did Peter. The two wanted to discuss something important.
So it was just Mary, Faye -his sister- and I walking through the village. "Our kind always changes at the age of 7 or 8. Where do you come from that your transformation hasn't started yet?" asked me Faye, Mason's little sister. "I'm from near the Rocky Mountains. We're going to start transfiguring later because we live in a cold area and the transfiguration could be damaging at 7 or 8 years old," I replied. "And when do you transform?" Mary now asked me. "Good question. Probably only when I'm 16. From then on I can find my mate." I said and Faye looked at me and then at her mother with wide eyes.
"Then you know-" "Ah hello Donald! How are you?" interrupted Mary Faye. I looked back and forth between the two in confusion before shaking my head and going over to the man Mary was greeting. "Amy!?" he asked. "Don?!" I asked confused and hugged the old man.
"Where did you leave Josie?" asked he. "She's our new alpha's mate." I said sadly. "And then what are you doing here? You don't smell like the old pack at all." he noticed. "Our new alpha has banned me from the pack. Actually, they wanted me dead," I said and sat down next to him on the grass. "Why is that? I honestly can't imagine, with the best will in the world," he said and scratched his beard. "I wanted you back as our alpha and he just got that from someone. He couldn't just throw me out like that and then waited for the best moment. Since everyone was on his side anyway, I didn't have a chance anymore," I said upset him. "They're not serious. Amy,
"Amy has us now" Mary said and grinned at me. I smiled back and Faye pulled me up. "Now we have to move on. Amy can't walk around in mine and my brother's things forever," she said and we said goodbye to my old alpha.
We stopped in front of a large building. "What is that?" I asked, emphasizing the last word. This building was really huge and beautiful. "This, my dear, is our mall," Faye said, grinning at me. "That's-" Before I could continue, I was pulled into it.
It's hard to believe, but there was everything here. When I say everything, I mean everything. From cafés to restaurants to clothing stores to furniture 'stores'. "Wow" I breathed and Mary and Faye giggled. "What?" I asked looking at both of them. "It's just funny watching you marvel at our mall." said Mary. I shook my head and smiled. "I've never been in one," I defended myself.
"Now we're going shopping for you" Faye said. "I don't have any money," I thought, but Faye and Mary waved it off at the same time. "It's not a problem," she said. "But I don't want you to pay for my stuff," I said, looking at both of them. Mary and Faye sighed and pulled me into the first store.
There I got 7 new pants. 4 long and 3 short. The next shop only sold t-shirts. There I also got 6 new ones. I wanted to stop at the next store, but Faye wouldn't let me. So I got 3 new sweaters, although I didn't mind her brother's either. Just as I came out of the booth, Mary cried out.
"You got Mason's?" she asked breathlessly. "Involuntarily and he was drunk," I replied. Mary's head suddenly turned red. Not out of shame, but out of anger. "Excuse me" she said and left.
Faye continued shopping and so I got a black cardigan, a fur jacket because Faye thought it was great on me and a leather jacket. I kept saying that 2 jackets would be enough, but she was absolutely against it. Actually, I never really had anything to talk about. In the next store I got a pair of white and black sneakers and a pair of silver high heels. Almost annoyed, I followed her through all the other shops. She stopped in front of one that looked expensive and looked in the window.
"That's perfect!" she cried enthusiastically. When I saw what she meant, I already wanted to say no when she was already in the store. I sighed and dropped my shoulders and followed her. In the store, the saleswoman was already holding the dress and Faye was arguing loudly with her. When they saw me they broke off their discussion and gave me the dress. I ran to the dressing room and started putting it on.
I turned once around my own axis in front of the cabin. The dress was a beautiful pink and had small rhinestones. It had a lace belt and went to the floor. "Wow" breathed Faye, who had ended the discussion.
