~Amy~
I gathered my courage and, with my trembling hand, took his, which in the meantime had disappeared under the covers again.
Mason watched my movements closely. His wolf eyes fixed on my hand as if he wanted to eat it.
As his hand was intertwined with mine, however that happened, I looked into his eyes. They were no longer fixed on my hand, but on my eyes.
My eyelids closed like in slow motion. "Do it again" I whispered to him. Even if nobody was here, I could only whisper. I couldn't have gotten a sensible tone out.
Mason nodded, paralyzed, and slowly sat up. I've been sitting the whole time. Without being able to prevent anything, I slipped onto his lap as if by myself and we weren't even five centimeters apart. I didn't want to take my eyes off his and neither did he. He blindly untied our hands and gently placed them on my cheek.
As if they were made of glass, he lightly passed my lip, still without looking.
Our breathing became heavier and I reluctantly closed my eyes.
Damn it, what is he doing to me?
When his hand moved away, I was able to open my eyes as well. The air around us was heavy, but that didn't bother us in the least.
My hand, which he wanted to take again, rested on his cheek and also traced the contours of his face.
Unlike me, he didn't close his eyes. He looked at me. My hand rested on his lip and I closed my eyes to hold that feeling inside me forever.
I never wanted to miss it again.
Mason interrupted me by moving his head further forward, causing my hand to slip away. I just let it happen.
His soft lips met my forehead, then my cheek, and finally the tip of my nose a few times in quick succession.
"I love you Amy. Let's go to sleep." I found myself nodding. I was just still frozen.
Mason gently laid me back and kissed my cheek again. This time, however, it hit the corner of my mouth.
This caused fireworks to explode in me that I had to force myself not to let my feelings show.
Mason let the kiss last a few minutes before pulling away and covering himself up as well. He turned his back on me and tensed there.
Very slowly I stretched out my hand and massaged it. Mason tensed a little more and stifled a groan.
"If you don't stop now, I won't be able to stop myself," he murmured. His voice was deeper than normal. So he really pulled himself together.
But I didn't get what I wanted. I moved a little closer to him until I was at his ear.
"And what if I don't want to?"
As if he had been struck by lightning, he turned around abruptly so that he was suddenly sitting over me. Greedily, almost menacingly, he looked down at me.
"Do you mean that seriously?" his hands slowly moved up until they were holding my arms.
I looked into his bright eyes with a slight smile. They twinkled brighter than the stars.
As nothing fell his head down and kissed the corners of my mouth again. Too little! I turned my head for him to make sure he hit my mouth next.
But just before that he stopped. "You weren't ready this morning. I don't want to pressure you," he whispered to me.
In one go, my arms were free of his hands, pulling his head down to mine. His lips press you against mine like the world is about to end. Maybe she did?
In any case, I lost all sense of time at that moment. I didn't know how long we kissed. I didn't know if we would ever stop doing this. I didn't know if we were even going to sleep that night. But what I knew was that he was the right one. At the moment everything was just as perfect as I wanted it to be. I had him and he had me. The two of us against the rest of the world.
And we would win by far.
"I love you mason"
