~Amy~
"I'm going to take a shower" I said quickly and wanted to get up. "Alone?" Mason gave me a challenging look. "Yes alone" I confirmed his question. I emphasized being alone so that he really left me alone. Even though he was my mate, I didn't want to shower with him. Not yet. Maybe later.
Mason turned me on the spot and looked deep into my eyes as our faces grew closer. Wait... does he want to kiss me? My breathing quickened and I felt warm. I've already had my first kiss with him, which is why I shouldn't have panicked, but I was desperate and sad. My mind didn't do what I normally thought was right. He approached me in slow motion, which was more for me. I kept staring from his lips to his eyes. Wasn't that a sign that he should really kiss me? Damn Amy stop that. If he wasn't already going too fast, then my pulse was getting even faster. I've kissed him before Then why did I make such a drama out of it? Luckily, Mason relaxed his grip on my waist a little, allowing me to escape to the bathroom.
I held his hands and got up as fast as I could. Then, stunned by my own action, I walked back a few feet and looked into Mason's eyes again. Confusion was reflected in them. I quickly narrowed my eyes and ran to my room, which luckily I was able to lock. I opened the closet and found my stuff the same as it was a week ago. I quickly took out a pair of pants, a t-shirt and underwear before unlocking the room door again and then ducking into the bathroom. Of course I locked the door and tested ten times whether the door was really closed.
When I got in the shower I could really relax. I did hear the loud voices in the living room, but I was able to block them out as if I had never done anything else. When I was done I got dressed and blow dried my hair straight. I opened the door to my room and took a quick look around. It had gone quiet in the house. Funny for two alphas who were relatively upset. My room was empty and no one seemed to be sitting in the living room either. I took my cell phone out of my pocket and called Faye.
"Lucky! Amy, you need to get to the clearing we were playing in right away! Mason-" I hung up and transformed. Faye sounded confused. If there was anything to do with Mason... Why couldn't I have just waited until the evening to take a shower. Or why didn't the others wait for me?
I quickly ran through the forest, past the matching trees and bushes. To my left, a squirrel wormed its way up into the treetop. A little further back I could hear a deer. The next moment I remembered my mate and I concentrated on the essentials.
"Faye?" I asked in the clearing. Nobody answered. "Mason?" But even now nobody answered me. Confused, I sharpened my senses. It was dead quiet. Faye had mentioned this very clearing? I could also recognize the smell of the others. Then why was nobody here? I cried out loud once and called for Faye and Mason. "That's not funny," I called out and turned around on my own axis.
Mason jumped out of the bushes and grabbed me. We rolled over until he stopped us and licked my face. "What did you have to scare me for?" I asked softly, whining to make Mason feel guilty. The black wolf towered over me and his ears, which had just been pointing attentively in my direction, slowly fell down. His head went down as well. "Sorry" he mumbled and got off me.
I started laughing out loud. "That was a fun." I giggled and licked Mason's snout. This shook himself and looked offended at me. "Don't be like that. I was just getting revenge." I then nudged him lightly.
"About your parents.. we did some research.." but I just shook my head.
"I'm happy right now. I don't know my parents. No matter what about them. I don't want to know. Maybe in a few weeks." It was hard for me to say it like that, but I didn't want to know what was going on . He had sounded sad. I nudged him lightly and ran back to the house. With my wolf hearing, I could hear not only Mason's footsteps, but also Faye's and someone else's. Maybe Jonah.
In the garden I danced happily and was happy about my small victory. It wasn't really a race, as Mason told me often enough, but I was just in too good a mood to see that.
"Let's go see a movie," Mason suggested when it was really just the two of us in the house. We had put on something comfortable and were just sitting at the kitchen table. I started grinning like crazy and agreed.
"You choose the movie and I'll get food." I divided our tasks. Mason nodded and left me alone in the kitchen. I grabbed chips and chocolate from the pantry. I also got coke and water because I didn't know what Mason wanted to drink.
Back with him, he had started Netflix and turned on Maze Runner.
I must have fallen asleep during the movie because when I woke up Mason was carrying me upstairs to the bedroom.
"Go back to sleep." he whispered and stroked me like he had three hands, a strand of hair on my face.
I didn't really need to be told twice and closed my eyes again in an attempt to get back to sleep, but this closeness to him was driving me absolutely insane.
The fast kiss also spread in my head. Mason laid me gently on one side of the bed and he himself moved to the other.
I lay facing him so we could see each other. But even his intense gaze didn't make my thoughts, which made me slightly nervous, any better.
I should also not ignore the fact that he had taken off his top in the meantime.
Mason reached out and touched my face lightly. I flinched at that touch. Mason looked confused into my eyes.
I quickly closed them and enjoyed the feel of his hand on my cheek, then on my forehead and finally on my bottom lip.
A shiver flooded through me very quickly. I got scared and opened my eyes.
"Everything okay?" Mason wanted to know, but all I could do was nod. I was too concerned with the feel of his index finger on my bottom lip.
