First Trial

Atasha's Point of View

The entire ceremony was stopped and I was still in shock at what's been happening at this moment. Seeing Alpha Gregory in a heated argument with both of his sons.

“Alpha Gregory, Trisha, and I should lead this pack. Remember what they did to you last time. Also, we’re married isn’t that enough already?” Zach said it out loud and Alpha glanced over him.

“You truly under Trisha’s spell don’t you? Or should I say Astrid’s spell?” He then tapped Zach’s shoulder.

"Father, please. I love Trisha so much, so don’t do this to her and to us. This is what we deserve, right? " Zach then cried and kneeled down to Alpha Gregory. While I was watching them, my eyes got blurry and I became drowsy.

“Atasha, are you okay?” Elijah asked and I fell into his arms.

"I’m alright El, probably. I just felt something in my stomach." Elijah’s eyes widened and touched my belly.

"Atasha, are you pregnant?" He asked which made me stunned. Is this in purpose? does he want to say out loud with the Alpha that I'm currently pregnant as of this moment?

Then I turned my gaze to Alpha Gregory. Then he said, "Elijah, I want you to marry her now." My jaw dropped hearing it from him. I also saw Elijah was not expecting his statement.

Isn’t he mad at me because I broke into his room and broke his sculpture?

"You’re not mad at her?" Elijah asked Alpha. He then tapped Elijah’s shoulder, "Son, I wasn’t mad at all."

He then continued,  "This is all part of my plan. I want to see Drogo’s true colors. It turns out that my hunch was right all along. Since you announced Atasha as your mate at the banquet, I spent most of my time with him in the East Land talking about pushing his agendas on me. I knew that you’d be different from me. So let me give this to you now: you’ll be the next Alpha and Atasha, you’ll be the luna. "

A beautiful middle-aged lady then went inside the room carrying a beautiful necklace. It was Elijah’s mother that I saw before at the dining table during my time as a slave here.

“Mother?” Elijah uttered to her. My eyes locked on Elijah's mom and she simply put the necklace on my neck.

“You’re a queen, the Luna of the Crimson Moon Pack. Take care of Elijah and the entire land. This would be your invitation for your first step to being the next Luna. This is your first trial.”

Elijah was then told by Alpha to prepare and get dressed as we would be attending our first trial for us to get married and this would put us on the throne. I then saw Zach and Trisha walk out of the ceremony room.

Alpha Gregory then began his command, "This is your trial. I want you to go back to your room. My Luna Samantha will escort you to your room to purify your soul and then you’ll be heading to the church for you to get married. "

"Got it, Alpha." I’m sorry, it was all of a sudden and I couldn't still process what was happening," I said out loud and he just laughed and looked at his wife, Samantha, and for the first time I saw her smile.

I was wondering if it was true that this was Zach's mother and not his mate. However, I would like to not involve myself in that because what’s important is that I and Elijah just won our battle. Perhaps, I would ask in the future about the truth behind that story based on what I overheard from Elijah and Zach.

We'll be married soon, and Elijah will be able to be the Alpha of the pack with me as his Luna. That thought wasn't processed yet in my mind.

"Let’s go, Atasha and El!" Luna, Samantha said, and she tapped our shoulders, then she held onto my arms.

"I’m happy that she finally met you. I could sense that you’re now his mate. Looking at the bite mark you have on your shoulders," Luna Samantha stated.

I was caught off guard and blushed a little. It was a surreal feeling that Elijah’s mother was clinging to my arms. Then hearing Alpha Gregory prepare for our wedding was so unexpected. It was like I was dreaming.

We were walking into their large hallway, and we then went into the room where we would do our purification. Elijah then changed his clothes into a long brown male gown. I was wearing the same thing, and inside the room, there was a pool of water, and from there we were told to step into the pool.

There was a pastor who then said his prayers for both of us. We stepped outside of the pool and decided we should stay here and not do anything until our wedding tomorrow.

I then asked Samantha if Trisha and Zach did all of this and she said no. That surprised me.

"The truth is, that was a fake wedding. Don’t tell anybody this. But it was all Alpha’s plan to ride along with Drogo and Trisha."

She whispered to me and smiled. She then left us in the room, and we were sitting still, wondering if we should do anything, drink, or eat.

"Elijah, did we just win our battle?" Did we just win this? "

"Atasha, it seems we won, but our fight is not over until the ceremony ends. Trisha and Zach might be planning something else to stop it. We should be cautious of our surroundings. To be honest, I felt anxious that they might do harm to Alpha Gregory and my mother. She still had contact with the witch, so we can’t put our guard down. "

“You’re right El. But I was happy that Alpha looked at me and that I was now part of the family.”

"Because he senses that you’re ready. You already had the bite mark that shows proof that you’re my mate. It glows up to Alpha’s eyes meaning that the bite mark has the Moon Goddess's blessing and it was not fabricated. Alpha’s power can sense that so when you first met him he was not convinced at all because he’s not seeing it to you. But now he did."

"Great, all of our efforts and Peter's sacrifices didn’t put in vain. It was worth it!"

We then began the first trial and we sat on the cold floor waiting for the next step.
