Astrid's Point of View

Margaux's face turned into a monster, a witch, that has my eyes and already has my soul. I held back when Margaux's face was worried. I shook my head, and she immediately took the scissors from my hand.

"If you feel dizzy, it’s fine. Don’t push yourself too much. Let me handle this on my end,"

She smiled and continued to work on cutting the fabrics. I then went outside of the workshop and went straight to the bathroom. I took a cold shower in the bathtub, crying for no reason.

I was startled when I saw Margaux go inside the bathroom.

"What are you doing here, Margaux? I’m still taking a bath. "

I'm sorry, Astrid, but I couldn't resist checking in on you.I was worried, especially since your eyes turned red earlier at the workshop. "

"I’m okay, thanks, Margaux."

"I’ll head out now,"

"By the way, do you have any information about what’s been going on with my sister Atasha?"

"I heard she’s being put on an exam for being a Luna. That’s what I heard from Zach, his brother."

I laughed hysterically when she stormed outside to the bathroom. She's such a pathetic mutt, that's why she was easily tricked by Melanie, but the difference between me and Melanie is I'm way smarter and more courageous than her. Suicide? Melanie was also a loser.

She took her own life, that's truly a sad ending for her. Now, she wants to use me to kill Margaux by giving these kinds of visions. I'm not that dumb to murder the key to my success.

It was early in the morning and I had just finished reading a book from Margaux's very own library. I could say that they had plenty of books here, especially the historical ones. But everything was one-sided to the Crimson Moon Pack's ideologies, which were sided with the Montreal.

My eyebrows furrowed as I read different versions of the prophecy that was based on the cursed werewolf that the Montreals were always seeking to eradicate.

It was told in one history that they had already wiped out one village of cursed werewolves, so they no longer bear any pups. Other packs also vanished because the Montreals killed them all.

The history of the cursed werewolf was now just a myth to everyone, until a rumor about a cursed werewolf from the Silver Moon Pack, which was considered their rival pack from the beginning.

There is already a long history that the Crimson Moon was intimidated by the Silver Moon, and they had an agreement that there would be no more wars, but what triggered the Crimson to break that was the cursed werewolf, so they called it the Doomsday. There would be a greater conflict among packs that would destroy Montreal’s Crimson Moon Pack.

"This is now just a myth. They think they have already won. Not until they know that the enemy is now here. " I laughed and grinned from ear to ear. Then put the book back on the shelf.

"Astrid, you’re so early. Have you had a great sleep? I was thinking about yesterday. I realized a lot of things."

"Hello Margaux, I’m good." I gave her a short and sweet reply. Looking behind her, I see her father, Drogo, might be interested in what we've been planning.

She turned around, and she saw her father standing in front of the door.

"It’s fine Astrid, I would like to see if you both are already working on something."

"Absolutely, We worked on Margaux's wedding dress. I know it’s a bit early, but it surely means that she will be marrying Elijah sooner or later. We are also strategically planning our next move. We heard that Alpha Gregory gave Atasha a test to be accepted as a Luna of Elijah. I assure you that she would fail the exam. We both bowed down as he went outside to the library. I bit my lower lip and gritted my teeth in anger at how low he looked down on me just because I’m not from the Crimson Moon Pack.

The next day, we arrived at the Mansion of Alpha Gregory. On the day that Atasha would take the exam, Margaux uses her influence to go inside since she was also with friends of one of Elijah’s brothers, who is Zach.

I remember the first time that I went from this mansion, the huge and long walk from their front garden just to their house. It's a good thing there’s already an escort vehicle that took both of us.

We’re both quiet inside the vehicle. Yesterday we had a long conversation with Margaux. About our plans to give Elijah a love potion from the witch. She was battling between her morals and protecting her family. But it's a good thing she was an idiot and she chose to protect her family ties.

Then their connection to Montreal She knew the risk she was taking once everyone found out that we were manipulating Elijah. Her face was still worried at this point.

"Relax Margaux, we don’t want to arrive at that place with that sad face of yours. You’ll be meeting Elijah, right? "

"You’re right, Astrid. Thank you."

"By the way, this cloak that you gave me, it’s a bit big. I’ll fix this in your workshop once we get back home, alright?"

"Sure, that’s fine."

We arrived at the main entrance of the mansion. One of the guards escorted us to the room where Atasha was taking an exam. We went to a garden where there are mirrors for that specific room.

I peeked at the windows while we were walking into the entrance. From there, I saw a lot of guards, and then from there, I saw Atasha in the middle of the room while she was surrounded by the Crimson Moon Pack. I also saw Alpha Gregory, then Margaux's father, on his side.

"Trisha, come here,"

"Coming," I told Margaux and his father to use my nickname, Trisha. Only they can call me by my real name. Also, I remember that Peter knew something that I didn’t. I don’t know why she knows my real name and told Margaux.

When I asked Margaux, Peter didn’t elaborate either. I should keep an eye on that guy.

"I’ll introduce you to Elijah’s brother,"

I walked toward her and she introduced me to Zach, who is Elijah’s brother. I heard from Margaux that he was the son of Alpha Gregory and a different mother. So, technically, he is Elijah's stepbrother.

He was tall, his hair was blonde, and his eyes were charming. It was like he was smiling at me, even though he wasn’t smiling at all. The jawlines were perfectly sculpted and the same goes for his overall build.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I came back to my senses when he spoke.

"I’m Zach. Your name?"

"Trisha, my name is Trisha,"

"Such a beautiful name." He replied with a smile. My heart skips a bit for some unknown reason. Margaux then tapped my shoulders. Then we both peeked in the window.

I was hiding at the back of Margaux while she was beside Zach. On the other hand, Zach was so obvious that he was peeking from the window.

"Are we not allowed inside, Zach?" Margaux asked.

"No you do not, and you know that I don’t have business with them."

"You’re always assuming you’re not part of their family."

"Because I’m not, I’m on my own." I’m the Black Sheep, remember? "

"That was the thing from the past. Your father also loves you."

"That’s not true; he only loves Elijah." Anyway, enough of that conversation. We’re here to see what will happen in this exam, right? And how Atasha would fail this exam. "

My eyes widened as I heard that from Zach. So he was also not rooting for Atasha to pass the exam?

"If Atasha fails the exam, it means Elijah will no longer be able to use her for his personal agenda, I’ll help her to find her sister and her family. "

Margaux glanced at me with a shock in her eyes. I bit my lower lip and scratched my bald head.
