Diamond Ring
Astrid's Point of View
"Alpha Gregory, it is an absolute delight to have this conversation with you. I assume you would prefer that I did not come here to your mansion without giving you prior notice. I apologize." I bent down and turned around to go away from them, but Alpha stopped me before I could even take those first steps away from them.
I started to think back to when we had our initial encounter at the Silver Moon Pack. I have two hopes: the first is that he will not recognize my face, and the second is that the scar on my face will be enough to keep my true identity hidden from him.
What exactly does this imply with regard to Zach's plan for me? After that, he requested that I turn around once more so that he could get a better look at my face.
"I thought I saw you somewhere before, Trisha. " Would you kindly shift your position so that you are facing me?"
"You heard the Alpha, Trisha. Come on, darling, please turn around and show us your gorgeous face."
As I turned my back to face them, I inhaled deeply, then closed my eyes for a moment to gather my composure.
"You just look exactly what Zach described you. You're also as lovely as Margaux. I'm happy that you'll be my daughter-in-law and Zach's wife." Alpha Gregory said with a smile on his face.
"My pleasure to hear that Alpha Gregory. However, Zach... you mentioned earlier that I shouldn't be here. I can now go ahead and go back home." While I waited for them to respond, I bit the inside of my bottom lip and looked down.
"Well, simply because you might hear us planning my proposal to you, especially now that I have the ring."
"What do you mean?"
"We’re currently having a discussion and asking for his tips on how he proposed to mom. Of course, I wanted that to be special, but now that you’re here, my secret was ruined, I guess."
He laughed, and Alpha Gregory did the same thing at the same time. His body language was relaxed, and it was different from what I had seen in the past when he attacked the Silver Moon Pack.
When I saw them together at the same time, I couldn't help but be struck by how much they resembled a typical father and son. that they are not harboring any hatred toward me in their gaze while we are having this conversation. If they had a true understanding of who I am and where I come from, the narrative would be very different. It's possible that I shouldn't be able to see the sunrise since my life would end the moment I did.
"Well, whatever the case may be, let me just do it in front of my dad." After that, Zach took a box out of his pocket and showed it to us. Alpha Gregory gave him a tap on the shoulders, and then he came over to where I was standing and kneeled down in front of me while the Alpha was observing. Although I was unable to look directly at Alpha Gregory's face, I could see that he was smiling out of the corner of my eye.
When Zach took the diamond ring out of the little box that he had, I couldn't help but let out a shock when I realized how stunning it was. After that, he asked me once more the same question to which I had already provided an answer.
"Will you marry me, Trisha Devaraugh, and make me the happiest werewolf in the Crimson Moon Pack?"
"Yes, Zach, of course, I do. This isn't necessary. I'm a bit embarrassed about your father seeing us here. "
After that, he flashed a grin before slipping the ring onto my finger. Zach then gave me a warm hug, and he planted a kiss on my forehead then to my lips. I turned around when I heard Alpha Gregory clapping from behind, and I noticed that he was a bit teary-eyed.
"We are grateful to you Trisha and what you brought into our lives. If I did not have you, I would never be able to get my relationship with Zach back on track. We were able to put our differences behind us and talk like a real family. You see, if my kid doesn't see you, then I shouldn't have a Luna at this point in time. It just wouldn't make sense since Elijah wasn't want to be an Alpha. Margaux is now out of the picture as she told me that it was you her younger sister that she wanted to be a Luna.
In the same vein, this also applies to my beta Drogo he also wanted you to be the Luna at this point. Since my rebellious son Elijah has run away from this pack, Zach is likewise the best choice available to me at this time to be the Alpha. You and your partner are currently the most qualified team to take charge of the Crimson Moon Pack."
After hearing that long statement from Alpha Gregory, I began to have a quick overview of the central motive behind my presence in this place in the first place. I was reminded that it was necessary for me to guarantee that Elijah would marry Margaux in order to prevent the possibility of him marrying my sister Atasha. Alpha Gregory has left the two of us. After that, I inquired Zach about their future plans regarding Elijah.
"Zach, please help me to find your brother Elijah once we finish our wedding."
"Why? Trisha, Elijah no longer needs to be here. I'm the next Alpha. That's what's most important. This is what you wanted, right? Why are you trying to bring him back here? "
"Yes, that's right, but Zach, we need Elijah for Margaux." I don't want my sister to be abandoned. I promised to tell you that we would end up marrying the two Montrealers. She deserves it. We don't want Elijah to end up marrying a slave from the Silver Moon Pack, right? "
"Trisha... Astrid is not just a slave from the Silver Moon Pack. She was also a special girl to me in the past. So you don't need to call her like that. Also, if Elijah truly wanted her, then let him be. He no longer needs to come back here. "
"But Zach, please..."
"Sorry, we need to end this conversation now, Trisha,"
I turned around and waved goodbye to Zach before returning to the vehicle. When I got back to my house, I was in such a state of distress that I had no idea what to say to Margaux. When I think back to when Zach informed me that Atasha held a special place in his heart, I can't help but feel enraged.
