"How much money should I give her?" Kang Zhaoming asked.

"At least this much, I think," Wang Shubing lifted his palm up and hesitated, "Now that the bitch has connections with Kang Xiaobo and Lin Yi, she probably won't be satisfied with eight or ten thousand!"

"Fifty thousand… It's a bit too much, but I can accept it," Kang Zhaoming nodded, "Alright, I'll talk to my family and tell them to give me this amount. I'll go see Fen tomorrow morning and get this done as soon as possible to prevent more trouble!"

"You better sign a contract with her. We compensate her fifty thousand after she signs it. She can't look back to what happened nor can she mention this to others!" Wang Shubing suggested.

"Naturally we will have to do that. Otherwise, what can we do if she takes back what she said after getting the money?" Kang Zhaoming nodded, "My wound is too small. Should I make it more severe next time?"

"There's no rush!" Wang Shubing waved his hands, "Master Ming, I think it's suspicious enough that you caught a cold yesterday and injured yourself today. Such a small wound hurts so much, how much will you have to suffer if you have a bigger wound?" Kang Xiaoming pondered and he was afraid of it, "The most important thing is to settle this with Fen first!"

Today was the second time the Qibing Real Estate officially interacted with residents of the shantytown face to face. It was hosted by Li Cihua, Jin Gubang, and Zhong Fabai. The location was in a demolishment office built temporarily for this in front of the shantytown.

All the residents waited in front of the office early in the morning. Everyone looked forward to this day since they thought Qibing Real Estate must've come sincerely. Forcefully taking down houses last time caused numerous accidents and although it was settled in private, they lost a large amount of money from it!

Those who were familiar with Mrs. Tang knew that Master Bing paid a great deal of money, so they thought that they would learn from their mistakes and discuss compensation with the residents squarely.

Li Cihua laughed coldly in his heart as he saw the hopeful faces of the residents. Their stupidity was laughable. Just because demolishing the place last time created some accidents, they thought that he would be fair this time around? How naïve!

There wasn't a large amount of money Qibing Real Estate could spend and they couldn't afford a large amount of money to compensate the residents. Qibing Real Estate was busy with developing and introducing their first complex out. They must make decisive choices in this complex situation. Zhao Qibing couldn't afford to wait any longer. He had been in Songshan city for so long without any results. How could he report back to House Zhao?

Although House Zhao's members, including his father, hadn't said anything, Zhao Qibing thought that they must be disappointed in him. If he couldn't handle unruly people like this, how would he be able to reign over House Zhao?

Li Cihua's plan was simple this time. He tricked everyone in the shantytown to the office here then forcefully demolish their houses again. This time, the target was the only apartment in the shantytown: a three-story.

Demolishing single-story houses was too much effort and getting rid of them wasn't enough to frighten them. They will only be forced to accept Qibing Real Estate's compensation agreement if a group of them lost their houses!

It would only take a few bulldozers to take down the three-story building. When they finish, it would be too late for these residents to notice that something went wrong.

Fen's parents followed everyone else to the office early in the morning and left Fen in the house alone. Her leg was still injured and they were afraid that disputes during the negotiation today would provoke her…

Her parents just left yet someone knocked on her door. Fen thought that her parents left something behind and opened the door without a second thought. However, she immediately froze after opening the door.

"What? Am I not welcome?" Kang Zhaoming smiled at Fen. Damn, she looked much prettier than before. If she wasn't so single-minded on him, he wouldn't mind playing with her for a bit longer.

"You… You… Kang Zhaoming, what are you doing at my place?" Fen glared at Kang Zhaoming unfriendly.

If it was a month ago, Fen would be drowning in happiness if Kang Zhaoming came knocking on her door. But now, Fen was in another relationship, and she woke up from her obsession with Kang Zhaoming. She saw right through him and cut off all the thoughts she had for him. When she looked at him now, it was as if she was looking at a stranger!

After all, she couldn't let go of her hatred so easily! This man ruined her whole life! Although Kang Xiaobo treated her well and never gave her the cold shoulder, Fen always felt like she owed him for not giving him her first time. Whenever she thought of it, she felt ashamed.

The person who caused everything was Kang Zhaoming. Why would she act friendly towards him?

Kang Zhaoming came by himself without Wang Shubing and Zhu Xiaozhang. He needed to act this time in order to show enough sincerity in order to shut Fen's mouth. If he brought Zhu Xiaozhang and Wang Shubing along with him, he would be showing off himself as a master and hence, he didn't bring them.

"Fen, I came here today because I want to have a talk with you. Can you let me in first?" Kang Zhaoming smiled and tried to make himself sound as sincere as possible.

"There's nothing to talk about between us," Fen shook her head and closed the door.

Kang Zhaoming jumped. He couldn't let Fen close the door, or all his efforts would be in vain! He quickly grabbed the door and said, "Fen, don't close the door, I came to compensate and apologize to you!"

"Compensate and apologize to me?" Fen frowned but didn't close the door immediately.

"Fen, I was young and frivolous before and I know I harmed you. I came to visit you today to apologize to you!" Kang Zhaoming spoke "sincerely".

"Oh, I don't want to recall what happened before. You should leave…" Fen was telling the truth as she completely dropped the past behind. Although she still hated Kang Zhaoming, it was her fault for being naïve and stupid to believe a person like him!
