Kang Zhaoming saw that Guan Xin had arrived, he got so excited and started acting. He hoped that it would trigger Guan Xin's sympathy so that she would care more about him. Kang Zhaoming kept howling, "Ow, it hurts so much. I'm in so much pain. My face! My leg…"
Guan Xin on the other hand just thought that she never expected for that to come from a grown young adult. Such a big man, but so weak and sobbing.
"Isn't that bandaged already? Why did you say that he was unattended to?" Guan Xin saw that Kang Zhaoming's leg had cast on and splinter to stabilize. It had been treated by the doctor and nurses; it wasn't remotely similar to what Wang Shubing had said.
"Well… I meant that there wasn't anyone to follow up with the care…" Wang Shubing was trying to backtrack. His first thoughts were to trick her into going to Kang's room. Once she was there, they could then react to the opportunity.
"His leg injury isn't some normal wound, it is too severe! It falls under orthopedic care. I can't do anything for him. There are specialized nurses and doctors for this area of care," Guan Xin continued. "I will help him contact the orthopedic nurses."
"Ah?" Kang Zhaoming was dumbfounded! What does it mean that the wound was serious? First it was too light of a wound, now it was too serious? It's difficulty level jumped straight into orthopedic?
Unfortunately, this wasn't something that he could control. He didn't want his leg broken at all.

So Kang Zhaoming quickly added, "Yeah, I can only put my trust in people I know. I feel that outsiders, wouldn't put my care in higher consideration. I really don't want to scar my face!"
"Oh, I can't do anything to promise you that it wouldn't leave a scar," Guan Xin pouted. "I'm not a miracle doctor, I don't have Miracle Doctor Kang's Golden Creation medicine. My family's Miracle Doctor Guan's medicine is fake. It doesn't work as described. If you are afraid of scarring, then you should apply some Golden Creation. Your household should have a lot of it!"
"Ah?!" Kang Zhaoming suddenly remembered that his household's best seller, the Miracle Doctor Kang's Golden Creation was an external wound's greatest enemy. So Guan Xin was being sarcastic when she referred to what he had said about her family's medicine, when they were at the bookstore.
Kang Zhaoming was very regretful on what he had said. He must have eaten the wrong medicine at the bookstore. How could he have forgotten about the relationship between Guan Xin and Miracle Doctor Guan? He gave Guan Xin a bad first impression! The key point was that after he had said it, there was no way to rectify his mistake. He definitely couldn't say that Miracle Doctor Guan was better than Miracle Doctor Kang! "God damn, how unlucky can I get?" Kang Zhaoming cursed loudly.
"Master Zhaoming, I feel that Guan Xin has her guard up!" Wang Shubing frowned. He had to choose his next words carefully, "When I went to look for her, she sarcastically asked if your hand was infected. She doesn't seem to believe me when I talk to her. You come to the hospital almost everyday, it is just too frequently…"

"Master Zhaoming, if this strategy won't work, why don't we switch it up?" Wang Shubing suggested.
"Switch it up how? How can we change our strategy?" Kang Zhaoming was starting to get irritated. "So instead of me getting injured, will you take the pain on my behalf?"
"Well… Why don't we change how we look at it. Right now, Guan Xin won't believe in you even if you are injured!" Wang Shubing bitterly smiled.
Kang Zhaoming sighed. It was as Wang Shubing had pointed out. Even if he suffers through more injuries, Guan Xin won't believe in him. She was suspicious already, if they continued down this path it would only backfire. They really had to change tactics!
The problem was, how should they change their tactics? Kang Zhaoming always felt confident in the way he wooed girls. His usual method consisted of sending bouquets, sweet words, faking meetings, and then leading the girl to shop on his card. It was as easy as that for him!
This method didn't seem to apply to Guan Xin. The bouquet of flowers had been sent, but no effect. Sweet talks doesn't seem to please her either. As for the faking part, she wasn't taking the bait. Guan Xin's family condition wasn't terrible at all so she wouldn't be tempted by the small things.
"Should we look online for clues? We should see if there are any good tips?" Kang Zhaoming had heard about these love experts discuss on forums about their experiences, but he rarely visited these sites. He did not even know if he would find anything useful.
