916 Time for Revenge

Shortly after Lin Yi had departed from the Starlight Hotel, Li Cihua got out from the car he was in. Along with Su Jiaonang and his injured henchmen, they went into a reserved private room in the restaurant.

Sitting inside the room were Yaowang and Zhao Qibing.

They glanced up as someone entered their room and Yaowang quickly got to work to examine the injuries.

"Brother Cihua, that kid is too powerful, we all got injured helping you do your task!" The Baldy started speaking loudly.

"Don't worry, I will pay the agreed amount. I will also compensate you for your injuries. You will be paid handsomely!" Li Cihua continued, "Stop running your mouth if you want to be treated!"

The Baldy had achieved his goal, all he wanted was more money. So as soon as he heard what he wanted, he just remained quiet for the rest of the time.

They were mercenaries that Li Cihua had hired from out of town. Their main task was to test Lin Yi. They weren't given any details of Lin Yi's abilities, they were only told to give him a good beating.

With this in mind, the Baldy thought that it was going to be an easy task with so many of his men. Who would've thought that this task was harder than it sounded, and now all his men were injured.

Little did they know that Lin Yi wasn't even at his former power level, otherwise, they would've been in a far worse condition.

Yaowang examined every person's injuries. Then he waved for Li Cihua to come over and said, "Send them to the hospital, I'm done,"

"Yes!" Li Cihua assigned Su Jiaonang with the task as he left with the henchmen out of the private room. Once they had left, Li Cihua asked "Yaowang, so how was it? Did you see any issues?"

"All their injuries were physical, there were no signs of energy disruptions to their bodies," Yaowang continued, "Lin Yi always loved to use his energy to injure people, so from this test it shows that Lin Yi has not recovered yet. Can you tell me what exactly happened during the fight?"

"Okay!" Li Cihua quickly started to explain how Baldy had caused trouble.

Yaowang nodded as he listened. Then he laughed and said, "Seems like we were right. If I'm correct, Lin Yi has not recovered from his injuries. Right now, his energy makes him a little stronger than your average person! It was just a van that blocked him, so if it was from before, he would've just pushed it away. He wouldn't have the need to look for the car keys!"

"Oh? In that case, then Lin Yi that bastard will finally fall into our hands?" Zhao Qibing got excited from listening. "Seems like this Ma Zhu was quite capable to have harmed Lin Yi to this state! Now is our chance?"

"Master Bing, even if Yaowang was correct in that Lin Yi might not have power anymore, we shouldn't rush into action. We should wait for other people to settle their differences with Lin Yi first. Then by the time they are done, we can just sit back and enjoy the rewards with a more weakened Lin Yi!" said Li Cihua. "I was thinking of letting House Xiao do all the hard work for us!"

"That is right! Quickly, go spread rumors that Lin Yi has been injured with his powers not fully recovered. Uncle Fu is also critically injured, he might die soon!" Zhao Qibing sneered. "Now is time for revenge, to settle all their differences!"

"Yes, Master Bing, I'll go spread the rumors!" Li Cihua grinned as he nodded.

In a peaceful serene mountainside, filled with forestry, with a pavilion overlooking the surrounding, there was a young lady playing her musical instrument. The lady was beautiful, and although it was hard to gauge her actual age, she was in her early to late twenties.

With just one look at this beautiful lady playing her instrument with hands fluttering back and forth on the strings, and mountain forestry, lively animals, floral scent, it was like a scene from a painting.

No longer a teen, with the maturity of a woman; she had lost the naiveness of the youth while retaining her beauty.

If Lin Yi was here, he would be in awe of the beauty standing before him. She was so perfect as if she was carved out from a sculpture!

As for the song she was playing, she looked up with a sad expression. She had yet to be fully immersed her surroundings, and instead, let out a deep sigh.

"Palace Master, Elder Li has requested an audience with you, he controls the Dark Shadow group!" A maid quickly passed the word to her master.

"Oh? Let him in to meet with me," the palace master was slightly happier when she had heard that it was Elder Li.

"As you wish, Palace Master!" The maid left quickly.

Shortly after, an older male of around fifty years old, dressed in all black clothing approached. There was nothing spectacular about his facial features, everything was normal. He had the face that could blend into crowds

"Li Moshen pays his respects to Palace Master!" The older man approached respectfully in a near bowing stance.

"Elder Li, you don't have to be so courteous with me!" Palace Master Su Yi waved her hand nonchalantly. She quickly got to the point, "Elder Li, is there a reason for this urgent meeting?"

"Yes…" Elder Li glanced at the maid, and stopped speaking.

"Xiao Qing, leave with the others to stand guard outside by the road. Don't let anyone else come near us. I have something important to discuss with Elder Li!" Su Yi commanded.

"Yes, my master!" the maid nodded and left the vicinity.

"Elder Li, do you feel more comfortable now that the outsiders had left?" Su Yi stood up and began speaking informally with Elder Li. It would seem like their relationship was quite close.

Once Elder Li had confirmed that the maid was far enough away, he walked closer to the pavilion and whispered, "Miss, this is about the younger miss…"

"Her… What is wrong? Did she encounter trouble?" Su Yi got nervous by his sudden change in demeanor.

"The young miss was kidnapped…" said Elder Li, but Su Yi interrupted.

"What? She was kidnapped? By who? Is she in danger?" Su Yi quickly asked.

"It was planned by a young master from Donghai City, who was accompanied by a peak mid-tier mystic stage physical master that had trained in Golden Protection with proficiency level 8…" Elder Li continued, "According to the intelligence gathered by the Dark Shadow group, the young miss's bodyguard, Lin Yi, has lost most of his energy from the fight. His current status is unknown, and Li Fu's status is also unknown."
