Her IntentionsLin Yi's heart skipped a beat. Something wasn't right in this situation. The Baldy's capabilities were beyond that of a normal gangster. As of now, Lin Yi didn't have much energy remaining. With the wounds on his body not completely healed, his agility was slower. However, it should have still been enough to handle normal people.

That meant that Lin Yi's strike had not been able to hit the target! What did that show? It meant that Lin Yi was weaker than a normal person, and that the opponent was mediocre!

Lin Yi was well aware of his condition. There was another explanation, it was that this opponent was a veteran fighter. Not the type of fighter that trained in physical arts but the type that was self trained in physical endurance! Definitely stronger than the average person.

So if this person wasn't your local gangster, what could explain why he was here, playing that role? It was starting to sound more like a plot targeting him to reveal his card.

"Apologize!" The Baldy looked at Lin Yi, "I'll give you three seconds to think over your actions. Otherwise we will beat you up until you will kneel and apologize!"

Lin Yi sighed deeply, this was definitely planned! Someone had this trap laid out for him, it was simply too coincidental, making it almost seem like a show. Lin Yi had been caught off guard.

Could it be people sent by Zhen Yingjun? Was this to test if he was still injured?

Lin Yi smiled bitterly. Seems like getting physical was unavoidable. Lin Yi couldn't rely on his facade to get by, it wouldn't provide the definitive result his enemies needed to stop testing him.

Lin Yi was in a bad position. He couldn't force his way nor could he retreat. If he backed off now after they had provoked him, then any of his enemies could tell that he hadn't recovered. He didn't have any power to back his words anymore so how could he get the Baldy to move his car?

If he fought, there may be even more chances for him to blow his cover, but this was beyond something that Lin Yi could overlook. No matter what Lin Yi did, it had to show that he still has the power to back his words.

"In that case, let's see who will kneel for whom," Lin Yi replied. With a sudden quick step, he was standing behind the Baldy. In a downward chop on the neck region, he knocked out the Baldy, sending him the floor...

This was a move that Lin Yi had planned to use as his trump card. The steps and attack were qigong that Lin Yi almost never used before. This was his secret skill that he didn't want others to know that he knew.

"Damn it, brothers attack him! He attacked our bro! Cripple him!" Several of the henchmens surrounded Lin Yi.

"Can't you read the situation? Your boss is already down. It only took a few seconds for him to kneel in front of me," Lin Yi pointed at the henchman, "If you move your car, I won't bicker with you,"

Now that Lin Yi had exposed his strength, he needed to talk with Chu Pengzhao to find a replacement bodyguard as soon as possible. He couldn't stay in Songshan City anymore, since he would just be magnet for trouble.

There was still a sliver of hope that these gangsters aren't Zhen Yingjun's men, and this was all a coincidence.

"You attacked our boss, so you have to stay behind. Otherwise, we would no longer have any pride if rumors spread around talking about how we allowed a nobody get away!" One of the henchmen spoke up.

"Okay then," Lin Yi had prepared himself. He had made his decision. If he had to reveal his power, then he needed to use these set of ghostly steps and the knockout strike. At least it would be able to mask his true strength for awhile longer!

The speed of the ghostly steps was not the speed that practitioners could ever reach. As for the knockout chop, it was derived from basic forms of combat. In each attack, no energy was used to empower it.

Normally in this situation, the enemy would find the knockout strike suspicious, but they would also be weary of his ghostly steps. By mixing in both, Lin Yi was hoping to confuse anyone watching so that it would buy him precious time to escape.

With so many people as his opponent, he couldn't afford to mess around. He relied on his fighting techniques and not his brute strength which would have definitely revealed his condition if his enemy was watching closely.

Half a minute later, the henchmens were all on the floor kneeling. Lin Yi didn't do anything too extreme, and had broken a few of their limb bones, as punishment.

Finally, Lin Yi grabbed the car keys from Baldy's body, then he drove the Nissan van forward. He quickly returned back to his car and drove away.

During this whole fiasco, not a single security guard appeared. This meant that it had been orchestrated, as it was highly unusual for this to ever happen. This made Lin Yi rush his preparations for departure.

"Ah…" Tang Yun watched Lin Yi from the car. She relaxed and asked, "I thought you said you lost your power? That was frightening!"

"My power is gone, but my core foundation is stronger than the average person," Lin Yi smiled. He was worried about Tang Yun overthinking things, so he didn't tell her his worries.

"Those people are despicable!" Tang Yun didn't realize that it had been someone's ploy from the beginning. She turned her head and asked, "Where are we going now?"

Tang Yun never felt the oncoming danger, she was still in her happy dream where she would live with Lin Yi happily ever after.

The man would farm, while the woman would weave. A simple joyful life until the day their hairs turned white.

"I'll send you back to the hospital? Before I leave the city in two days, I need to leave behind instructions so this might be the last time I see you," Lin Yi spoke up.

"Oh…" Tang Yun was slightly disappointed that her date was so short, but she didn't say anything. She knew that Lin Yi had official business to take care of, so she wouldn't bind him down for her sake.

Lin Yi parked his car near the hospital entrance, but Tang Yun didn't want to leave so soon. They both were unsure when they would ever meet again… Tang Yun didn't want to let go.

Lin Yi was her first love, she had him locked in as the one to marry. This was the power of first love.

"Then… I'll leave now. You have to be careful!" Tang Yun knew that this wasn't the time or place to be sweet. Even if she didn't want to let go, she knew she had to let go.

"I will. I will wait for you to come find me," Lin Yi cracked a smile between his lips.

"Okay…" Tang Yun opened up the car door, then she turned back to Lin Yi and kissed him on the cheek. Afterwards, she ran off blushing...

Tang Yun had already used her actions to prove her true intentions.

In the end, Tang Yun was a shy girl, being able to take initiative to kiss Lin Yi, meant that she had accepted him as her husband.

"Ooh…" Lin Yi touched the part where Tang Yun had kissed. He smiled, this is definitely a girl who he coudl care about for a lifetime.

As he watched Tang Yun leave, Lin Yi's smile faded. He started up the car and left People's First Hospital.
