Chapter 54 Nate’s Office
<Ethan>
"Is it fine with you? We will have a meeting with Doc Fairy, we'll be together in one room," he said softly, trying to gauge my mood.
"Don't worry, we'll be with other doctors. We'll be having a campaign, and the hospital is joining her campaign. That's why I got involved," he informed me. "I just wanted to tell you this, so we won't fight when you find out that I'm working with her. But, I'm not talking to her. I promise to behave. I don't want you to feel jealous." He looked at me with his face so close. I tucked his bangs away from covering his eyes. His hair had grown long.
"When you get jealous, you turn into a dragon," he playfully teased and nuzzled into my chest.
"I won't be jealous of that damn woman," I said with a hint of anger.
"Okay." He didn't seem convinced.
I felt his lips kissing my neck, sometimes lightly licking it.
"I'm going to sleep," I let out a soft moan.
He planted a kiss on my neck, and then his lips traveled up to mine. He quickly pressed his lips on mine, as if he was eager for my kiss. This man sure knows how to speed things up.
I couldn't help but let out a moan as our kisses became more passionate, creating some sound in the process. The heat in my body was also rising. It felt like I would burn from every touch of his.
He removed my clothes, and he put my hardening nipple into his mouth. His mouth was warm. He sucked on it while massaging the other. I could feel the moisture down below.
"E-Ethan..." I whispered his name, almost breathlessly.
I pulled his hair a bit.
I felt his fingers approaching the elastic band of my panties. I hadn't shaved.
I stopped his hand before he could touch me there. He didn't insist.
"Hmmm." I moaned in pleasure. His kisses felt amazing.
Did he do the same thing with Fairy earlier? Hasn't he had enough, that he wanted to do it with me too? Is that why his long sleeves were crumpled?
While I was lost in my thoughts, I suddenly pushed him away.
"What's your problem?" he said angrily. "You really like to cut a hot scene."
"I-I don't want..." that's all I managed to say.
His face turned blank.
"You are always not ready... You have so many excuses," he said coldly.
We stared at each other. I didn't know what to say, I didn't know what I did. I suddenly felt regretful.
He looks disappointed.
I felt guilty as he suddenly walked out and slammed the door. The door was almost breaking from the force of his closure. He's angry; I made him angry again.
I feel disappointed with myself too.
I'm still confused.
I don't know if it's the right time for that to happen again. Since then, he never pressured me to do it again. He always respects me.
I don't know what's stopping me, maybe it's because I'm afraid he might get me pregnant. With his desire to have a child, it's not unlikely that he might get me pregnant.
"Daddy!" The child ran to him excitedly. The boy was happy to see him.
"I missed you," the child said politely, hugging him tightly.
Ethan hugged his son back, saying in a deep voice, "I missed you too, son."
"He insisted on coming here to see you."
Ethan looked at Joy as she spoke.
He didn't respond to her and focused on the little boy who was hugging him tightly, obviously missing him so much.
"Daddy, don't you miss me? I miss you soooo much!" the child said while still clinging to him.
"You can leave him with me. I'll send him home tonight," Ethan said coldly to the woman. He released himself from the hug and carried the child, sitting him on his lap.
"I won't do anything. I can stay here," Joy initiated.
Ethan sharply looked at her, but the child didn't notice. "I'll send him home. I'll be with my friends." His tone grew colder.
"Uh... umm. Okay. I'll just attend to my online business." Joy couldn't do anything as she knew she wouldn't win against him, and they already agreed on the child's schedule.
"D-Daddy, are you mad at me?" The child released his hug and looked at him with a frown. Etheus got his eyes, and they both had thick hair. His hair was blonde.
He smiled faintly and messed up his son's hair. "I'm not..."
"Then why aren't you smiling? And you look pissed," the innocent child asked him.
Ethan finally smiled at his son's innocence. "And don't you miss me? If I didn't pester my mom, you wouldn't see me," the child said with a hint of playfulness.
"How much do you miss me?"
"Like this!" He showed his hand, forming a large shape with it. "I miss you so much," Ethan kissed his son's forehead.
"Do you want to go to my company?"
Etheus' face brightened up, "Really?! Okay!"
"Or do you want to surprise visit Daddy Nate? I thought you missed me?" Ethan playfully asked his son.
"Of course, I miss both of you!" The child quickly left his father's embrace.
"I want to be a doctor too, like you and Papa Nate," Ethan said as he watched his father put on his white coat.
Ethan paused from wearing his coat, "You will, baby. I will try my best to give you the life you deserve and grant your wishes." He smiled at his son.
"Really? I want to be by your side until I'm old, just like you."
Ethan groaned, "Don't grow too fast, buddy," he said with a stoic face.
"Come here, wear my coat." He took his son's hand and helped him put on his coat. It reached down to Etheus' knees because the child was tall for his age.
"For now, you will be my baby doctor."
"Can I keep this coat? So I'll have something to remember you by because Mommy said I might not see you anymore once you get married. When you have a wife." The child said with a hint of sadness, "I want to be with you for a long time." He seemed on the verge of tears.
Ethan didn't speak, he just hugged Etheus.
"Sorry for bringing you into this cruel world," Ethan whispered.
"Daddy loves you, okay? Always remember that... and your daddy Nate too." He gently stroked the child's back.
Etheus pulled away from the embrace as if remembering something.
"Daddy, I overheard Mommy. She said we might not proceed with leaving. I'm okay as long as I get to be with you, even if not every day."
Ethan smiled faintly at his son.
"Aren't you happy?" the child asked again.
"I'm happy."
"No, you're not," Etheus initiated, "your eyes look sad, and you seem down." He truly was an innocent kid.
Ethan changed the topic. "Let's go to your Daddy Nate." He lifted his son to quickly head to the parking lot. He wanted to make the most of the days and moments he could still carry his child, as he knew that once he grew up, he wouldn't be able to carry him anymore. Especially if Mia didn't want to have a child. That's the impression he got from his wife's actions. If that's her choice, he will respect it, though it goes against his wishes. After all, he still has Etheus.
"What are you doing here?" Thunder asked when he saw them enter his twin brother's office.
"Here's your son, bro," Moonraker said upon seeing his children.
Etheus seemed scared of Ethan's friends, so he hid behind his father.
"Your son is handsome! He looks like Nate!" Tor exclaimed.
"Don't be afraid of them, okay? They are my friends," Ethan whispered to his son.
"Come here, little one, don't be shy with your Uncle Moonraker," Tor encouraged the child, approaching him.
"What a handsome child!" Tor commented. Etheus eventually warmed up to him and sat on the sofa.
"Where's my twin?" Ethan asked his friends. "And why are all of you here?"
"I came along with Moonraker. He said he needed my help," Tor replied.
"I just dropped by, bought him some milk tea, and found these two here," Thunder answered. "What are you doing here?" Thunder asked Ethan.
"My son misses his uncle," Ethan sighed in response.
"Want some candy? You're such a handsome kid!" Moonraker marvelled at Ethan's child, who was now engrossed with him, seemingly ignoring the others. "They were just talking about you, and now you're right here in front of us. Such a tall kid! You got that from your dad!" Moonraker's voice was loud as he seemed delighted with the child.
"Thank you, uncle," Etheus replied shyly.
"Do you want to stay with me, Etheus? I have lots of toys at home, and food too. I can adopt you!" Moonraker suggested.
"Hey! Shut up! He won't give him to you!" Tor interjected.
"Are you sulking? Why are you so gloomy?" Thunder asked his friend when he noticed his subdued and melancholic demeanor.
"Nothing," Ethan shrugged.
"Come on, I know the reason. Do you want some alcohol?" Thunder offered.
"Yeah," Ethan nodded, "later, after I send my son home."
"Ethan, what if this child is really yours and Mia's?" Moonraker suddenly blurted out as he played with the child, with Tor as well.
"He got your height, huh," Moonraker added.
"Shut up, Moonraker," Thunder scolded him.
"Why are you so angry? It's just a 'what if' scenario!" Moonraker defended himself.
"Yeah, what if, Ethan?" Tor seconded.
"My wife never had any kind of accident," Ethan replied.
"Who knows, maybe Joy injected your husband with something, and this child is actually hers. Miracles happen, you know," Moonraker persisted in his wild thoughts.
"That's from watching too many K-dramas, Raker," Thunder said.
"Well, I'm watching Boys Love drama now," Moonraker replied.
"You're so disgusting!" Tor reacted to his friend.
"You guys are so judgmental!" Moonraker retorted.
"Moon, are you gay?" Thunder asked bluntly.
"Hey! You're being so judgmental!" Moonraker replied defensively.
"Etheus, come here. I'll teach you how to have lots of girlfriends. Don't be like your daddy, who's all about 'fuck and go,'" Moonraker pulled the child towards him. Etheus looked confused at what he said.
"Moonraker, don't teach my son to be bad," Ethan intervened with his friend's behavior.
"You're weak, bro. You can't even impregnate your wife. I'll just teach your son some moves!" Moonraker arrogantly stated.
"Son, don't listen to them!" Ethan countered.
