He's aware

A black SUV pulled in front of a florist shop. The first thing Glory did when she stepped down was to survey her surroundings, she inhaled deeply in relief when she confirmed that no one was stalking her.

" You should wait for me in the car while I quickly get the seedlings." she suggested after he noticed how alarmed she was just now Xavier just nodded in agreement.

He has been patiently waiting for her to come up to him and tell him who was after her, but since she doesn't want him to know about that person, he decided to respect her decision and won't investigate behind her back, all he needs to do is to protect her, and not allow harm come to her .

He watched her enter the shop, before he stepped out of the car, he stood guard in front of the door, watching the faces of those people coming out and going into the shop

Suddenly he felt a suspicious movement behind him and hurriedly turned around but everything seemed in place ,there was nothing out of place, the people were all focused on their business. He frowned "what is this feeling?" He was puzzled ,he waved at Judith who was standing guard by the car.

" Yes boss " she answered after getting to him.

" Go investigate everyone related to the Davis family eighteen years ago. Families, maids, drivers, gardeners, everyone as long as they are alive, whether they are still working there or not, I want every detail on them, in three days. "

Even though Judith felt it was impossible to accomplish this mission, seeing how serious and terrifying he looks she swallowed her protest with a quivering lips she accepted this assignment, she has just three days to round up this mission. What exactly is going on?She couldn't help but feel that her boss was keeping a lot of information from her, but she's not brave enough to confront him about this.

A sense of insecurity overwhelmed Xavier, forfeiting their agreement he joined Glory inside the store. When he did, someone quietly stepped out from a well secluded spot , Adam Davis stared down in disbelief at the pictures he just took .

" What…what is this ?" He asked perplexed "isn't this the dead little girl?, how come she's here? instead of rotting in the grave?" Because of how loud his voice was coupled with how unkempt he looks, the passers-by mistook him to be a tenant in the mental asylum, so they all distanced themselves from him, but the man was too carried away by his new finding to notice that people were making a detour whenever they got to him.

He suddenly punched a nearby wall,' looking at the affection in that rude brat's face, this explains why my naive daughter ,who men couldn't take their eyes away from , suddenly got thrown out of her home.'

A cunning smile clawed up on his wrinkled face, he will always get what he wants no matter what.

After work Clara walked into her shop, she cheerfully greeted her workers, some male customers were even whistling and winking at her, she just politely smiled back at them, thanking the ones nearby for patronizing them.

" Here are the sales details for last month and this month I've carefully combined and arranged them. "Tony informed her by pushing some documents that need to be cross checked to her, smiling as she pushed it back to him.

" After the calculations, make sure to remove daily expenses on maintenance, the workers payment then whatever is remaining help me transfer it to this account every end of the month." She instructed him while writing some series of numbers on a blank paper.

" Do you also want a share? She asked, smiling at him, since he showed up, her schedule is no longer choked up, at least she could now find some time to rest,so she doesn't mind giving him one or two shares from the shop.

He stared at her with a blank face, for a while before saying curtly " if you want to give me some share, you can, I don't reject money, " his eyes were glued at her flat stomach, but she didn't notice because she was busy writing the details of her account number.

He caught sight of a waiter carrying a plate of cheese and waved her to come over, when the waiter did , he picked up a slice of cheese and moved it very close to Clare's face.

" I think you can keep five percent of the profit every month" she announced without looking up .

" Madam, I think there's something wrong with this.. " she looked up but the cheese was only an inch away from her face, when the strong scent whiffed into her nose she quickly turned away with a disgusting look on her face. On witnessing her reaction he smiled triumphantly and returned the slice and instructed the waiter to ask the kitchen to make another one .

" Sorry about that, was there really something wrong with the cheese ?, For some reason I felt like throwing up on perceiving the smell of it." She explained not knowing that a cunning someone did it on purpose.

" There's no need to apologize, you are the boss here and bosses don't apologize to their workers over minor things. ", she's just too humble, he has never seen a boss like her,he was afraid that if she continues this way people will take advantage of her good nature.

"Won't take some time off to have fun with friends?." she asked, today is Friday. She does not want people to start saying that she doesn't give her manager time off , since the other workers also get a day off every week.

" Don't worry about the shop, I will take care of things here." she smiled assuring him . Again his wandering eyes rested on her stomach " you should go home and rest , I don't have anything to do today. "

She wanted to protest but he already grabbed her bag gently pushing her out,she could only complain inwardly since she was no match for him.

Immediately she left, a woman dressed in a red and white shorts gown that hugged her body like a second skin walked into the shop, and casually went straight to the counter.

" I would like to see your boss?" She got to know from someone that a certain jerk now works here.

That silly woman who kept interfering with people's business called to inform her last night, Judith silently watched the handsome man descend the stairs majestically with a dreamy eyes, since he left the organization this was the first time she will be seeing him and he didn't even bother to call or contact her in anyway, maybe he was still mad at her.

" Tony!, you bastard, how could you be this cruel and heartless,huh?, after everything we've been through, you have the guts to push me aside as If I was worth nothing in your sight, not even a single call or text?."

she hollered, angrily hitting him with her purse, seeing that her voice was drawing unwanted attention towards them he dragged her out with a slight blush on his face, with the way she was acting people were likely to misinterpret her words.

' After everything we've been through, seriously! what exactly have we been through?' this stupid woman does she even know the meaning of those words?.

" How can I not be furious, we entered the organization together and did things together you were always...." She trailed off when their memories started flooding her head , how did she forget so much about him?.

She remembered how he was always by her side when they were young , when she couldn't catch up during training he will wake up early and help her train, if she falls down he was always running back to help her stand again, when she got injured he was the one who will run around just to buy her medicine and nurse her to health, how did she forget such an amazing person and pushed him into becoming a background character in her life .

" I'm always what? " Tony inquired his heart pounding against his rib cage, with the thought that she was finally seeing him as a man .

" We were always doing things together for the organization," she retorted, masking what she was feeling with stubbornness .

Disappointed by her answer the smile on his face disappeared, he turned around to leave but she stopped him by crossing his path with her arms and legs wide open , " you are always there to help me before ,now when I need your help the most you no longer want me around. "

Stunned by her sudden emotional confession he raised his eyes to take a good look at her face, she was damn serious, he quickly looked away when his heart started racing and he felt his cheek heat up, he blinked repeatedly before asking.

" You need my help with what? "

" Please come back to the organization and take back your position, I don't think I can do the job " she implored with a red eye, she was almost tearing up.

He was the only one who deserved that seat and position , before she was always jealous of him but not anymore ,it was never an easy job, running around for the boss all day long.

" You want me to come back?"He asked dumbfounded, " you are the last person I'm expecting to hear this from, you should be happy since you are now a step closer to your life dream " he jested glaring at her.

" What?" Yelled irritated by his words, " you are such an asshole, how could you say such words to me ? '' she was very furious, was this what he thought of her all this while?. embarrassed she ran off with her hand covering her mouth as she tried to muffle her sobbing, realizing how badly his words must have hurt her, he ran after her, desperately screaming her name .

"what?!Why did you follow me?, don't even think of apologizing because I won't forgive you, " she grunted, struggling to free her hand from his strong grip.

" I don't have such intentions anyways, I just wanted to know how your boss is doing. " he replied coldly, releasing her hand. He struggled to suppress his laughter while trying to maintain a nonchalant expression .

" I never wanted to hear it anyways " she hissed after being stunned by his reply for a long time, she couldn't believe the bastard just made a joke out of her , they haven't seen each other for a long time now and the first person he cared for was the same boss who didn't give it a second thought before replacing him .

" Why should I tell you, you are already out of the organization and you no longer have any relationship with my boss. But since you are just curious and I'm in a good mood I will be glad to fill you in." She said, struggling her shoulder.

" He will be a father soon , so of course he has to be fine. " she proudly announced, her response came as a surprise to him, he's already aware??,then why did he agree to a divorce?What was actually going on in that thick head of his?. Tony felt like he would never be able to understand his boss for the rest of his life.

" Right now the baby and its mother needs him mostly by their side, that was why he rejected a lot of contracts lately, " she added.

" Really?!, but if that's the case he shouldn't divorce her?"

" Who's talking about that stupid woman ?" She asked with disdain " haven't you heard, boss first love is back and she's now pregnant. "

" What?! mis…miss Glory is pregnant?" he asked in disbelief " this news was like a thunderbolt to him, he found it very difficult to digest it. Like how and when did it even happen?, he was always by Xavier's side, how did they do it under his nose? , when and where did they even do it? he was greatly puzzled about everything. If that's the case, he's not even aware of madam's baby, if not he won't let her go just like that, but how could he be so clueless about his wife, when they lived together for such a long time, any man would have noticed one or two changes on her.

He was too carried away that he didn't even notice when Judith left.

On the other hand Clara was preparing for bed when she heard the sound of her intercom. She frowned because she was not expecting anyone tonight who could possibly be at her door so late at night?.

She went to check after seeing the person from the peeker. She opened the door but stood in front of it with no intention of letting the person in .

" What are you doing here ?" She demanded but instead of replying the person pushed her aside and swagged in, " what a stupid question can't I visit my own daughter again? "

Adam sat down on her not too expensive couch " don't just stand there bring me something to eat am starving." he ordered angrily while she glared at him in disgust .

" Sorry to disappoint you, I've eaten and am about to sleep. If you don't mind, you can leave now and go look for something to eat at a restaurant, before the close for the day. " she said impatiently .

But the person didn't move an inch. Instead he relaxed himself in a comfortable position .

frustrated she touched her stomach and went into the kitchen after sometime she came out with a bowl of noodles .

"After eating you can leave."

He looked at the food in disgust " I don't know where you got the nerves to leave the forfeit the family house and come stay in a trashy place like this, now look at the type of food you are eating,no wonder you look so thin. "He pushed the plate of noodles away.

Angered, Clara smashed her fist at the table." get out of my house now! " she yelled pointing at the door.
