"Fine!I will manage it for today but next time don't use noodles to send me away. " He warned before devouring the noodles, like someone who has been starving for a decade.
Clara couldn't tell if it was because of how irritating he was eating or because of the noodles she suddenly feel nausea, she tried to control the strong urge until he leaves but she couldn't ,so she excused herself and ran into her washroom to relieve herself, on seeing her actions Adam lost interest in the food he was eating and quietly tiptoed behind her peeking from the door, he was able to see what she was doing, when he has satisfied his curiosity,he went back and to finish up his meal .
After cleaning up she went back to meet him but fortunately he was done eating and ready to leave
" Hump, the next time you will serve me noodles I won't eat it, " he said, slamming the door loudly behind him .
She puffed out some air in frustration before retiring for the night.
The elevator's door just opened, when Adam got to it, but on seeing the person inside he was stunned.
"O my!, look who we have here isn't he the CEO of Rey Enterprise, oops!, my bad!,I forgot you are no longer related to the company. " he said with a mocking smirk, laughing alone .
James Reynold furrows in disdain while looking at the stupid man in front of him.
" And isn't this the stupid black goat of the prestigious Davis family?" he quipped, glaring at him. He felt like it'd be a shame to the sheep if he should compare this man to them, so he used goats instead.
the two elderly men stood there glaring at each other ,if only eyes could kill these two would have dropped dead.
" Well ,we all know that I'm far more better than you, my dear friend , after your son came back, he made sure you became an homeless cat , well that bastard brother of mine is also making life unbearable for me,so we can always say we are both on the same boat." Adem said, starching out a hand for a handshake.
" Get lost!! "James yelled coldly walking past him to the apartment opposite Clara's, baffled Adam stared at the two apartment and his lips curved up into a sly smile
" Why are you following me, like a lost puppy?" James asked the man who suddenly forfeit his previous plans and started following him .
" What type of question is that? I told you already we are now on the same boat and I can help you get back at that son of yours." hearing this James face brightened up but it fell immediately as he just remembered something so he turned to face him with a sneer.
" I don't need your fucking help, you are quick to forget that our families can never breath under the same roof ,to hell with you loser!. "
Adam cleaned the tiny particles of James' saliva that dropped on his face before he started laughing,he found James' last statement to be very funny .
" What's so funny ?" James inquired with a clenched fist.
" My apologies," he said but he didn't stop laughing. " I just never knew that having a taste of poverty for the very first time will make you fall in love with it," he was pressing his tummy while laughing.
" Why I'm I still exchanging words with a lunatic?" James muttered trying to shut his door but Adam was faster,he used his leg to stop the door.
" Wait!I'm not done yet , because I'm a good person, I will help you get whatever you lost from him, how about that?. "Seeing how serious he was he let him in.

" So how do you intend to go about it?" he asked eager to learn from the master.
" But isn't he your son in law? " He questioned, giving him a suspicious glare, 'it would be better if I don't put all my eggs in one basket,' he thought to himself.
" That bastard threw my daughter out on the street with nothing after drinking from her fountain of love , don't you think I should get back at him ?" He asked righteously, earning a scornful glance from his friend, James shook his head pitifully.
"Why are you giving me such a look?" He ask with a frown
" Nothing, just thinking how very capable you've become,tsk, people who don't know you, would have been singing your praises while thinking you are the best father anyone would ever wish for fighting for his daughter's right but I, James Reynold knows better, you are nothing but greedy goat."he said pointing at him.
"old habits never die," he said laughing and James joined him
" She seems to be pregnant with his child , so with that child I plan to get enough money from him. "Hearing his reason James couldn't help but hissed , " I thought you have something good on your plate, better drop that stupid idea because that monster will be stupid enough to push his pregnant wife outside."
" I forgot to tell you that my useless last son drugged his sister-in-law and have his friends to rape her just to get back at his brother, knowing the type of person Xavier is, you won't get a pin from him , because the baby may not be his , if not why did he let her go even when they are yet to get a divorce" James took his time to explain.
" That shameless b***h!, she's just like her crazy mother!, out to destroy my happiness. " he angrily slammed his palms on the table .
" But that may still not be the case," he reasoned," remember the little girl who you sent out of the house eighteen years ago,"
he paused to make sure James is beginning to recollect some old memories, when he was certain he was he broke the news " she's back,"
"Impossible!" James whisper yelled
" Even I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her with him today." He pointed out.
" But that's very impossible, we all saw her corpse before it was lay down to rest, " James mumbled, struggling to digest this news.
" But if that was the case my daughter's beauty couldn't possibly win against childhood sweetheart,"
" So what are you cooking up now? "
" I will still go ahead with my plans , after that I will teach that daughter of mine a good lesson, since she doesn't know the father of the baby, I will help her clean up the mess, when Xavier finds out I'm sure he would also want to do the same "Adam said firmly.

Clara took permission from the office, saying that she will be late for work today ,so by half past 10am she was almost at the Ceo's office but she was taken aback on seeing someone sneaking out of the office with messy hair and a flushed face.
Emily was one of the Ceo's high ranked secretaries , she's beautiful and looks innocent and very weak on a first glance, any man would want to protect her by just looking at her but on getting to know more about her, Clara discovered that she was nothing like what she thought she was,Emily was actually very competitive when it comes to seeking the Ceo's attention, the woman could do anything to please her uncle .
Clara pretends not to notice anything after all Emily was one of those people who appeared friendly to her , in fact she was the one who helped her find her current apartment .

" Clara, your attention is needed here! "Since Ryan sounded very urgent on the line, Clara didn't hesitate; she dropped her handbag and made her way to his office.
" Boss, is everything okay? " she asked, closing the door behind her.
" What do you think Xavier is up to?" Ryan asked, pushing his laptop towards her, "see how drastically the stock price of Rey Enterprise just dropped this morning. '' Ryan seemed very anxious even though it means that Davis Enterprise no longer has a strong rival pursuing them but strangely he felt this was another attack from Xavier.
" Look, even the 5 projects he was dragging with us, the companies just called saying that he backed out. "
Clara could only manage a sad smile, ' anything is possible if Glory talks him out of it , he will do anything for her. ' seeing her sad expression now Ryan could only sigh dejectedly
" You see what I meant when I told you not to allow yourself to fall for such a person but you did now look at yourself!"
" Even an immortal can't control the heart when it wants what it wants," she never wanted to, but what can she do when she has no control over her heart?
"If there's nothing else, I will get back to work," this has nothing to do with her in the first place .
She heads back to her office .
immediately she sat down Emily ,came running into her office with a bright smile " Ms Clara, here comes your lunch box filled with LOVE " she winked at her when she looked up to face her and right behind her was a tall handsome man dressed in a white business suit,he looks out of place with lunch box in his left hand and his other hand in his pant pocket.

" When did you say you are taking action Adam " James yelled at the man lying comfortably on his couch, when out there the business he worked his ass off to maintain,was about to collapse.
" Calm down already, will you?, I didn't promise you the company did I?, but you can have enough money to buy it back, when the time comes, I cross my soul. "He said, making a cross sign across his chest.
James far from being comforted, the old man was more than anxious, he knew he shouldn't allow that bastard son of his to destroy what he walked hard to build over the years, but since that the girl appeared, he would want to destroy Rey Enterprise, after all his income was never from the company, he desperately need to get his company back .
" Next time don't raise your voice at me ,or else, I won't give you anything " Adam threatened, coldly glaring at him, after all he is the boss now .
James slowly calmed himself down and took the seat beside him, for now he had no choice, but to play dumb with this old fox .
The two men sat quietly while comforting themselves
One was left with nothing but a lot of debt to settle, while the other one was always looking for ways to get money without making any attempt to work for it .
" Do you plan to take action anytime soon?" James asked him again but this time gently,as if he was trying to choose his words carefully.
"Let's see how tonight goes, " he answered, looking at the drugs in his hand.
" What!How can you bear to do such a thing to your daughter?Can you bear to do it yourself, without being haunted at night?." James was stunned by the man's ruthlessness.
" Why can't I?If you can sell your son to a strange family for money , why can't I remove such a dirty thing, that will only end up taking all the money that was supposed to come to me and save myself the embarrassment. " A sly smile made its presence known on his wrinkled face.

" Clara, are you busy?" Alex asked his voice as tender as a baby's
Emily winked at her before taking off like a rocket.
This is all Ryan's fault, according to him Alex is the best candidate as the baby's father so he allowed him to enter and exit the company whenever and however he saw fit.
Alex is always bringing food for her while tending to her health.
" You brought food again? "Clara asked, forcing a smile at him. She stood up from her seat, took a few steps to the other side of her desk and casually positioned her ass on the desk with her hands akimbo.
Alex smiled back while moving the lunch box to a small dining table at the corner of her office, he proceeded to unpack the lunch box while setting it for her," it's no big deal, cooking has always been something I love doing, you should have a taste, this time It's not too spicy nor sweet," as he talks he gently pulled her to the table and made her sit opposite him , he placed his hands under his chin as he watched her eat when necessary he will help place food in her plate.
He was very satisfied since he could sit this close to her and watch her eat the food he prepared. If this continues he might be able to stay by the side of both mother and child in future .
"Alex, have you eaten?" Clara felt very uncomfortable with him staring at her while she ate, so she tried to initiate a conversation between them.
" Um…he cleared his throat before answering " yes, I had my lunch before coming," he explained with a reassuring smile.
" None of them have appeared recently, right?"
" Yes," she said with a proud smile,"doesn't that mean they've disappeared?." Clara's eyes was sparkling with anticipation, Alex could see that she long for a positive response, but he as much as he doesn't want to shatter her hope,he also couldn't dare to be careless with his reply,who knows what will happen next, with this thought he forced a smile at her before picking his words carefully.
" She didn't appear because you are now independent, and are living peacefully now, we can be certain that you are fully recovered and things continue the way they are now." Although he calmly explained this to her, but things didn't go as he expected with Clara, the food suddenly became tasteless to her as she dropped her cutlery,
" The bomb is still activated.. '' she murmured disappointed at herself but this didn't escape Alex's ears.
" You should be strong Clara, I know you are doing your best, so you can't give up because of some sit backs, the only way they can leave is when, you are strong enough to stop yourself from being affected by some unnecessary people, according to Nora, she can't bear to see you being treated like a trash,so if you are strong enough to face Xavier or whatever that woman's name is, if you can see them without being affected,then you are good to go. "
If she can face them without allowing her emotions get in the way, just how possible is that?, she never saw this coming, maybe if she had known before hand that Glory was his first love maybe she wouldn't have grown too attached to any of them, she already lost her habitat, but remembering his efforts in preparing the food, she picked up her spoon.
" That's my girl,you should eat more, remember you are eating for two . "On hearing this, her lost habitat returned ,she had to eat for her baby.
