Chapter 29
<Shielyn>
"You know what? It's not funny!!" I glared at him.
He is making fun of me.
Always make fun of me! You know that I have asthma!" I slap him on his arm and on his chest.
Sean is receiving my slap.
He lets me kill him.
"That was a joke. I still wasn't aware that you are stupid," Sean blamed me.
"You are stupid; you didn't look what I am pointing at," he stopped laughing, held my hand, and pulled me again somewhere.
He just scares me. I thought something was happening in my back, like a meteor or massive fire, or there was a ghost at my back.
We are still in House Dern.
"Where are we going again?"
This place is vast; there's a park in the east garden and a small mall in the southeast.
"Let's just walk, okay? So you will lose weight."
I slapped his arm because of what he said.
"How about you? Do you have abs?!" I am annoyed to the highest level. It is delicious to kill him right now.
"Yeah, I have abs. Do you want to see it?" He said confidently.
I know he's just teasing me. Sean let go of my hand and held his shirt.
I stopped him.
"No! Are you out of your mind?! You will strip here?!" I hissed.
"I will really remove my shirt here,” he said thoughtfully.
I scream when he literally shows me his abs. He really has abs. I put my palm in my eyes so I wouldn't see it, but I was peeping.
"You don't have any shame,” he chuckled and put on his shirt again.
"Did you believe it now?" He held my hand again, and we started to walk.
I like this place, the house where we met, and this place is also for introverts like me. Everyone has their own business. You have your own world.
"It's fake," I commented.
"That's what you say. You can touch it; I know you want a man with abs."
Yeah, that's true. I always complained before that Sean doesn't have abs, and after a long time that we didn't meet, he works for his body.
I like men with abs; they are attractive. I don't know if my husband has abs. I must touch him secretly or maybe sneak when he is asleep.
"Why are you giggling? You just saw my abs; you blush. What about if we did that thing, you would be delighted in pleasure,” he said without any filter.
My eyes widened.
We are in public; if someone hears him, they might think that there's already happened between us.
"Huh, funny!" I said sarcastically, and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not making you laugh. I want you to scream in pleasure."
I didn't stop myself from hitting him.
"Hey, stop!"
I pinch his ear really hard.
"We haven't married yet; I am being a battered husband,” he complained jokingly.
"I am not going to marry you!"
"Huh, if you taste heaven with me. You will change your mind. You will divorce your husband and be with me."
I left him.
I am not wearing my ring.
I made it into a necklace.
Our marriage is not private.
All of our business partners, friends, and family are invited. I just don't know if he is proud that he is married. The reason that I am not wearing my ring is that this is just an arranged marriage. I am not sure if he is wearing his ring, I didn't notice it, and I didn't remember that he was wearing it.
"I am good in bed. You won't regret it."
All day, that's what his mouth will speak. A lot of dirty talks and being naughty.
I saw him bite his lip and wet it using his tongue. That's not sexy.
He walks too fast.
I entered the mall.
"Buy me a phone. Your Payment for teasing me," I said without looking at him.
I am always demanding from him. Maybe, that's how comfortable I am when I am with him? I don't know. I just feel like this. He is showing my inner side without me noticing it.
"Huh, I am not your sugar daddy, kid."
I need a new phone, and I am saving money. I want to leave this marriage. I want to be free. I really don't know what kind of person my husband is. I still have a lot of things I need to know about him. All I can say is that my husband is dangerous. There's part of me that I shouldn't get near to him.
I don't trust him that much.
I can't leave him that easily. I need a considerable amount of money to pay for the damages if I go to him.
Both parties signed a contract, which my family signed for the betterment of two companies.
Ken is now handling our company; I don't care about that company. I just want to be free. I never dreamt of being a married woman. I am still young.
I just don't want to disappoint my parents.
And I am actually scared of him. He is always mad and always shouting.
"No! Buy me a new phone! You are my sugar daddy from now on," I made it official. That was a yoke.
"Huh! How about one night, one phone?" He said huskily.
Confirmed that he wants a dog.
"Punch you want? You have work, and your salary is huge. Why don't you pity your baby? You are my sugar daddy, so you should buy me one."
"Alright, I will buy you a phone, but you should kiss me first,” he pouted and leaned toward me.
" I should get something in return," I rucked to reach him and kissed his cheeks.
He smiled widely.
"Poor you, you don't have a phone."
"I want an iPhone 20 pro max," I reminded him.
"Kid! You will break my wallet,” he hissed.
"One kiss on the lips, I will buy it,” he grins.
I smiled with sarcasm.
"Later, baby," I whispered seductively. I am just riding his naughtiness.
He chuckled, and we headed into the store.
**
I am walking in the company's lobby where I work.
Why is everyone spreading and not working?
I looked at my phone to see what time it was.
Sean bought me that latest phone, complaining that his one-month salary went to me.
I grin. I won.
"HR must find a new head. I hope they won't hire a person worse than her."
I am late, and why is everyone not working? Instead, they are gossiping.
"She deserves it."
What are they talking about?
"No one deserves hate."
I swiped my ID and headed into the elevator.
"She still has a good heart. She lent me money when my son was in the hospital."
There's something fishy. I hope these people aren't talking about me. Maybe, they know that he bought me a phone and now I am their topic?
"Condolence to her family."
Family? I will call my parents to make sure they are still alive.
I am calling my mom.
My parents died? Why didn't I know? I should go back.
The elevator opened.
My mom is not answering her phone.
When I got out of the elevator, everyone looked at me. I bowed my head and got to my place.
"She is evil. They won't accept her in heaven."
Why are they staring at me? They started to gossip again.
"Hey, Ms. Rich Girl."
I step backward. Why is Jake here again?
"Uhmm," I don't know what to say. The last time we are together is awkward and embarrassing. I suspect Jake for planning badly for me where I was wrong.
"How are you?" He asked me.
"How much does it cost per line?" I covered my mouth when I realized I had said it out loud.
His eyebrow furrowed.
"What?" He asked, confused.
He is wearing a stripe, from his polo down to his pants. Maybe he likes zebra.
"Is your favorite animal a Zebra?" I asked innocently.
He is confused, and after minutes, he laughs.
"Hey, I don't have to wear. That's why I am all stripe," Jake explained.
Really? I do not believe him. Lame excuses.
"I swear. I forgot to do my laundry. I have been busy."
I raised my two eyebrows and started to fix my things.
He changed the topic.
"Someone helped me on the road, and I tried to find you, so I guess Mr. Saltzman saved you."
I didn't answer and continued my business.
I open my computer.
I want to roll my eyes at him.
He already said that to me.
Because of his presence, I forgot to call my mom.
"Have you heard the news about Ms. Tina?"
I stopped what I was doing and looked at him.
"She died," he said calmly.
"H-how?"
The last time I saw Ms. Tina was when she saw us in the meeting room.
"She was healthy, and she's still young."
Why did she suddenly die? This is sudden and fast. She was okay and healthy.
"Rumors say she sleeps and never wakes up... Everyone doesn't know whether to be happy or sad. Knowing Ms. Tina watches everyone and scolds us like she is the head manager."
Rest in peace.
"Ah. Ms. Tina's family must be sad," I sit and start to work.
I am assuming I thought they were talking about my family and me. I am being paranoid.
Jake laughs.
"Did you ever see a family happy when one of the members died?" He asked.
He pulled the available chair and sat on it.
"Yeah, in another country. The family is hiring crying ladies."
He chuckled at my answer.
"Ms. Tina may be a bitter woman, but she's actually a kind," he shrugged.
