Chapter 69
<Nate>
"Stop crying. You look ugly while crying," I said to Layla while looking at her.We are here in my car.
I want to laugh at her for her appearance, and for what happened to Layla. When I laugh, she might hit me.
Layla’s face was broken, and she looked like she looks like a child because of her messy hair. Her makeup is also scattered because of her crying.
I looked at my wrist watch.
We are still here in the parking lot of the hotel.
The party isn't over yet, and Kier didn't attend; I understand that, so Jase will take care of Kier’s part.
Jase is also a fool.
Good thing I had tissues in my car because I didn't have a handkerchief to give Layla.
"Why is he like that?" Layla asked herself while crying.
I didn't answer Layla’s question. I do not know the answer.
"How many times has Jase rejected you, huh?" I asked her suppresing my laughs.
She cried so ugly, and I was holding back my laughter.
Layla has been crying in my car for a hours now.
My baby car is out of gas, and I need gas. I might not make it to the gasoline station if Layla continues crying.
I am a businessman with a sports car, but the car is always out of gas; people like me should be emulated.
"I can't accept that he rejected me because of Musa. Jase doesn't love me; he doesn't like me," Layla said while sniffling.
"If he doesn't like you, leave him alone! You're not a loss!" I comment.
I can't force my friend to love the girl who’s crying in my car.
Jase is not attractive with women. I mistook him for gay. He have a relationship with Kier and don't want to let it be known.
Shielyn is a mistress.
"He told me earlier. He made it clear that he didn't want anything from me. But what did he make me feel then? He made me feel that he loved me. That he will take care of me and," she said and looked at me. Layla’s gaze was questioning.
"I helped you to my friend even though it was against my heart. Helping you is not free because the service fee and my talent fee are expensive. I have nothing to do with what happened in that room," I said to make it clear. Layla might told me again that I didn't help her. I will throw Layla in the Bermuda Triangle if she said that I didn’t help her..
"Did you know?" Layla ask me.
I do not know.
"The pain of what he said to me in that room. I tried to kiss him, but he warned me. And worst, his companion is Musa. I should be his companion and why he’s with that woman at the party?”
I just shook my head at Layla's stupidity. She takes his stupidity too literally.
"Aren't you done crying yet? You don't want to listen to me. You're not Jase's type, and he's far from liking you."
"I change! I change everything he doesn't like about me!” She suddenly shouted at me.
"I changed to make him like me!"
I raised my hand because she was yelling at me.
"Why are you mad?" I tease her.
"You cry so ugly."
She hit me because of what I told her.
“I hate you!”
Same.
"I will avenge that Musa; he stole Jase from me."
I just shook my head at what she said.
"What did Musa steal from you? Jase was never yours; how did Musa steal it from you?" I'm pissed at Layla stupidness.
"Aww," I reacted when she hit me. I rubbed my arm.
"Did you know? Jase has no plans to settle down in his life; he has no intention of committing to a woman. He has two eldest sons, eh? All his children are the firstborn."
I reveal Jase's secret; this woman is foolish and doesn't want to believe me.
Jase has two eldest children, and his children are in abroad. He only provides support and will take his children from their mothers in college. Besides, Jase wants to get rich.
"If he has a child, why doesn't he just have me?!" Layla shouted angrily.
I just laughed at what she said.
"You say different things! Do you think I'll believe you?! I won't believe you!”
Her nose is already burning. I just laughed loudly, which annoyed her.
"Take me to the bar, and I'll get drunk."
"Stupid, even if you get drunk, Jase won't go to you because he's busy at the party. I won't go with you because I have something else to do."
My car doesn’t have gas at all. I will let Layla push with my car when I run out of gas. So she she has a contribution to my life.
"What will you do? Besides, it's the sun will rise soon."
I didn’t anser her question and just smiled, and reversed my car.

<Third Person>
“Ma,” Kier greeted his mother when he saw her.
"Go, I'll call you. Wait for my call," Kier heard.
Kier looked at the man his mother was talking to. He didn't take his eyes off the man until he was out of sight.
"What's that?" Kier was curious.
"My delivery boy is the one who delivers the flowers when someone calls for delivery. Why did you visit?”
Kier sat on the sofa.
"You didn't say you were coming so I could cook for you. Have you eaten? What do you want to eat?” His mother asked.
"I'm full. My wife is in her friend's shop. I think to visit you," replied Kier dryly.
Mudra sat at the other table and arranged her flowers.
"Son, don't you want to marry that Chuchu that you used to play with?" Mudra asked while arranging the flowers for her shop.
"Mom, stop arranging me for others. I'm married, and I have a wife. Please, respect my marriage," Kier replied, annoyed.
Kier’s mother looks at him.
“Aba, why? Do you love that girl? Didn't you already get their company?”
Mudra knows about his son’s plans. She heard that from his son.
“I won’t stay with her for years,” Kier replied sarcastically.
"You have no respect for me," Mudra said bitterly. He is starting to do drama because of what her son is doing.
Kier secretly rolled his eyes.
"It's a good catch when you marry Chuchu; when you have problems with your company, their family will help you."
Mudra doesn't know about his son's other business. Kier doesn't open up that much to his mother.
"Mom! Stop with it!” Kier is irritated with his mother.
“It irritates the hell out of me. I'll marry my wife again! And this time in the church," Kier informed him.
“What?!” His mother said in shock.
“Stupid! I'm afraid I have to disagree!” Mudra disagrees.
“And why? You can’t do anything to my decision,” replied Kier fearfully.
"Are you crazy, huh? You better marry Chuchu!” Mudra insisted.
"Mom!" Kier squeezed his mother in annoyance. He was too annoyed by what his mother was saying.
"Maybe you want me to tell your wife what I know?!" Mudra challenged him.
Kier clenched his fist.
"You're the only one holding yourself back, son," he said gently.
"I have reprimanded you several times, but you have not listened to me even once. Do you think your wife won't be angry when he discovers the truth? She will hate you. I'll pray that she won't leave you,” Mudra smirked. This seems to make Kier and his wife divorce even more.
"Fuck! That won't happen. Try to reveal everything to my wife, and I will forget that you are my mother! And my wife won't fucking leave me! Stop with your nonsense, mom!” Kier shouted angrily and walked out.
Susing just shook her head as she watched her son leave the house.
