Prologue

A game about youth—with a little bit of guns and mysticism, I guess?
I won’t explain too much. In short, I got completely enraptured by it.
Yep, fell right down the rabbit hole.
Cool, right?
Anyway, there are many reasons why people like this game.
It may be due to the nice and impactful story,
or the vibrant and cheerful music,
or the students’ unique personalities.
In some severe cases, it’s known that an occult-like group has emerged where followers obsessively worship a certain student due to their overwhelming uniqueness.
I wonder what would happen if the students knew about it . . .
. . . it might be fun. Yeah.
Anyway, back on topic.
As for me, I’m one of those who got introduced through fanworks.
You know how it is— mindlessly scrolling through recommendations and accidentally bump into one. Then, like dominoes, they start falling one by one.
And before you know it, you’re already in too deep.
There’s no way back . . .
. . . and that’s why I decided to go full throttle, "bulldozing" through every piece of content I could find in the hole.
After months of "bulldozing", I stumbled upon something called fanfiction.
And the rest is history.
From what I’ve explained, you might think this fanfiction thing is the key point.
If so, you’re right.
Many of those stories about people being “abducted” into Kivotos were fascinating enough that they stirred something inside me. Something like,
. . . a feeling of yearning, maybe?
Then, after some deliberation, I decided to try some acts that might get me transported to Kivotos.
The reason? For fun.
A year has passed since then.
“ . . . another bust, huh.”
It looks like today was also a failure.
