Chapter 55

Third Person POV

Samantha run away and hide but her goons were left and Katrina's Doppelganger kill them all.

Nathalie's brows furrow while looking at Katrina.

She has a bad feeling about her. The Katrina that she met last is sophisticated, demure, and kind.

While this one in front of her is the spoiled brat version!

What is the meaning of this? Don't tell me that she is also a clone. She asked herself.

They are in the middle of chaos and she decided to ask Lance later. But she didn't like Katrina with them.

"Lance are you alright?" She asked worriedly which makes Nathalie's eyebrow raise in suspicion.

"Of course, he is perfectly fine because he is with me," Nathalie answered sarcastically The Snake Queen noticed.

But she needs to have lots of patience if she wants to succeed. She will gladly kill Nathalie right away but her plan will be ruined!

Lance's condition is to make Nathalie safe and away from harm. She cannot break the deal.

"Yeah, I forgot that you two are together. I'm happy that you are both okay. Lance let's go!" The snake queen changes the topic but in her heart and mind, she is already cursing Nathalie.

You will die in my hands soon, Nathalie! She smiled wickedly and walked away but Lance called her.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Lance asked.

"At our hideout." The snake queen stops walking, hides her smile, and answers Lance.

Our hideout?! Nathalie repeats these words in her mind and she doesn't like it all!

She is jealous again? But she won't admit it. She rather has an identity doubt about Katrina.

She can sense that she's fake!

"Are Sandro and Marie there?" Lance asked curiously.

"I didn't see them. I thought they are here. I immediately come in here when my spy told me that you needed help." The snake queen answered in surprise.

But she already knew it all!

"You have a spy? You are spying on us!" Nathalie said accusing. She didn't trust her at all!

The snake queen wanted to shoot her noisy mouth but she smile instead. She always repeats the word patience in her mind or else her plan will fail.

"It's not like that Nathalie. Spy can help in times of danger, like this situation!" She answered awkwardly.

"Don't do it again. I'm warning you, snake queen! But I can't face you right now. We need to go and plan our next move. Let's go my Love!" Then Lance grabs Nathalie's hand.

The snake queen is dying because of jealousy but she keeps on repeating to herself to have patience.

Someday she will have Lance under her hands!

SECRET HIDEOUT

"Why we are here?" The Snake Queen asked surprised but she sense already that something was going on.

"We need to be sure. No one knows this hideout except me and you of course. If you will betray me. I will cut your head for sure!" Lance always threaten her that she was used to it. She's not afraid anymore!

"Lance, what place is this?" Nathalie curiously asked.

"It's the secret hideout that I built a long time ago. I have a bad feeling about our main hideout. Sandro and Marie didn't reply to my messages." Lance answered seriously.

"Okay but I'm worried about the twins. Dad didn't reply to my text messages." Nathalie said with a worried expression.

She's been anxious since they left their mansion. She's hoping that the twins are okay as well as her Dad.

"Don't worry, Kenneth is wearing the same watch as mine. The moment he will turn on his location, we will know where they are." Lance comforted her with assuring words.

He is worried too but he needs to keep calm so that he can think properly.

"Okay, I hope that they are safe," Nathalie answered shortly.

"What are we gonna do now? Should I go back to the main hideout?" The snake queen asked.

"Not yet, let's wait for a little bit," Lance answered thinking deeply.

Then Nathalie's phone finally rang.

"Dad? Where are you?" She nervously asked.

"We are waiting for you and Lance, here at our main hideout," Anton answered looking suspiciously at Sandro.

There's something off in him that he cannot figure out. He is careful with every move because the twins are with him.

"I'm glad that you are all safe." Nathalie takes a deep breath and releases the tension that she's feeling.

"Give me the phone, I want to talk to Kenneth," Lance said.

Nathalie give him the phone with a puzzled look.

"Give the phone to Kenneth Black Hawk. I want to talk to him and you, Use your eyes and observe your surroundings. Wait for us, we are coming in there." Lance said with a warning.

"Daddy?" Kenneth answered the phone.

"Listen, Kenneth, Let's proceed to plan C. Protect your brother at all costs and wait for us." Lance said seriously.

"Alright copy!" Kenneth answered attentively.

The main problem is his backpack was lost while they are escaping.

But he's a boy scout and always ready. There's some weapon hidden in his pocket!

"We should go, my Lion Shadow Assassins are waiting for us outside."He grabs Nathalie's hand and they walk outside with the snake queen following at their back.

Looking at Nathalie and Lance. She promises herself that she will never be a third wheel again!

Nathalie was amazingly surprised while looking at the Lion Shadow Assassins. They all look good and snappily standing in line while holding their guns.

They are on standby alert and are waiting for Lance's command.

"But, why do we need to bring them? Are we going to war? I thought- Oh my God! The twins are in danger?" Nathalie asked the obvious.

Lance didn't tell her but she still discovered it. He didn't like to look at Nathalie's face worried and bothered.

"Don't worry, they are still safe. We will rescue them." Lance hug her.

He's giving every comfort he can give to the one he loves. Hopefully, it will be enough to ease her worry.

"That means, Sandro is a traitor? I just couldn't believe this! Our enemy becomes our ally while our ally becomes our enemy! What kind of a joke is this? But don't worry Lance. The Snake Mafia Gang will always be at your side! We will protect you no matter what." The Snake Queen said.

But Nathalie is not convinced at all. She has a bad feeling about her. She didn't know who she is.

And she's flirting with Lance obviously or she is just jealous!

"Yeah, I just can't believe this because he is one of my trusted men," Lance answered sadly.

"By the way Lance. Who is she? I don't think that she's the real Katrina right?" Nathalie asked confused.

"She's not but I will explain it to you later," Lance answered.

The Snake Queen just smirk at her without her knowing. She's enjoying the show.

"Okay, But I will tell you the truth that I don't like her even a bit!" Nathalie burst out, what she truly feels.

The snake queen chuckled because she didn't like Nathalie too! She wanted to cut her body into pieces and throw her away in the ocean so that Lance will not see her at all!

If only she can do that, then she will.

But it's not the right time.

For now, she needs to be down to earth with lots of patience in her!

"I understand Nathalie. I'm sorry if my presence bothered you but we need to keep going if you wanted to save your twins." The snake queen answered smiling hiding her venomous look and aura.

Nathalie just nods and continues walking with Lance. She will set aside this matter first. All she can think of is her twins.

She's praying for their safety.

MAIN HIDEOUT

They finally arrived but the gate is fully guarded!

Lots of men are there and it's hard for them to pass.

Lance didn't know them at all!

This is proof that Sandro betrayed him.

All those years that he trusted him being his left-hand man is wasted!

"Sandro, What a surprise. How can I get my twins with this lot of men blocking the way?" Lance asked shouting.

And Sandro appeared within the crowd and they all gave way.

"I'm sorry Boss for the lousy treatment. Men, you should treat our Boss with respect! Give a way!" Sandro shouted and the men make their way.

"Don't be ridiculous, I don't know these men at all!" Lance answered laughing.

There are only a few of them as his Lion Shadow Assassins are hiding somewhere. Ready to kill and attack, waiting for his signal.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you boss that they are newly recruited men. My bad, come in! The twins and black hawk are waiting for you." Sandro answered with respect and give way for them to pass.

Nathalie is nervous and is holding Lance's hand tightly. She should be strong in times like this! The twins needed her. She calm down a bit and walked straight without looking back. She doesn't like to look at those guns!

The Snake Queen walk like a beauty queen following at their back. She loves the fear in Nathalie's heart. It radiates all over the hideout. At least she can torture her with this kind of fear!

She's smiling at everyone like a crazy woman.

Sandro shakes his head seeing this obsessed snake.

They finally entered inside and see Anton and the Twins hanging up above with their hands and feet being tied.

Nathalie is horrified looking at her dear twins.

"What did you do to my twins? You bastard!" Nathalie shouted in agony and it was like music to the Snake Queen's ear.

"Oh, Nothing my Queen. They are just having fun up above. We are only playing. I'm sorry for that!" Sandro answered sarcastically.

"Mommy!" Kevin call her while crying. He is afraid of heights!

"Hang in there my baby, Mommy will get you okay?" Nathalie comforted Kevin, hoping that he will calm down.

"I didn't think that you will betray me. Well played Sandro. You think that I will die at Samantha's surprise attack. But I'm sorry to disappoint you. And now, another game! I admire you for being creative in all of this. Hopefully, you will not be disappointed, the second time around." Lance said while laughing.

"Oh, this time will truly be a success. Now, You should choose Boss. Your life or the Twins' life? It's very simple!" Sandro said laughing.

"Daddy, I will count from 1 to 10. Get ready!" Kenneth shouted.

He already throws some invisible bomb around the corner and in just 10 seconds it will explode and smoke will be scattered all around.

"Count all you want boy haha. Kenneth is so funny. Now, I will be the one to count instead. What about that?" He asked Lance.

But Lance is busy talking with his earphone.

"In 10 seconds fire your targets!" Lance whispered.

"How dare you! Bring down, my twins!" Nathalie shouted in despair.

She cannot choose between Lance and the twins.

The countdown begins!

Sandro and Kenneth are both counting and Nathalie is going crazy because of the short time!

The Snake Queen is ready to protect Lance. She doesn't care about the twins' life much worse than Nathalie's safety!

She is only focused on protecting Lance.
