Chapter 53: A Marriage
I was watching his changed behavior. He casually said, let's get married while the dead body of his lover was laying in the same holy church, which he turned into a battlefield. His grip over my waist tightened, hitching my air supply. Thick crimson blood was dripping from his forehead and entered his eyes, turning it redder than it was, making it resemble the devil.
His flaring air fanned over my face when I lifted my hand to check his wound. However, he was. Still my heart longed for him, his wounds bothers my soul, shaking to its last sanity. But he gripped my wrist and pulled me with him.
My body trembled, realizing where he was heading towards the small stage in front of a blood bathed cross. I held his hand with my other hand, struggling to get free from him.
“NOOO, ARIUS. STOP.” Tears rolled down my cheeks, witnessing his brutality in real life. A ray of sun lightened in my life when he stopped and jerked me in front of him, pinning me tight over his chest, nearly ready to crumble me in his death hug. I looked up. His eyes reminded me of volcanic eruption and the buried pain of rejection.
“Why not? Nothing's gonna change if we get married or not, you are still gonna wake up every day naked in my bed. Even if I married that bitch today, only you had the right over my body. If you forget, it’s yesterday you yelled out you love me to the entire world.” He held my neck and pulled me in, pressing his cheek over my face.
His boring tone was drilling my heart, but only tears were escaping from my eyes. I agree, I love this man more than god yet I know I wasn’t the person he loved the most. I still remember his outbursts in the office. He called me Aria. His anger was too raw to make me understand. His unrealised love for that girl.
“Say, you will marry me.” He cupped my face, making me look in his eyes, but I closed them, not having the durability to resist gazing in my green world where my existence fades. I want to marry you, my love, but I can’t. Even if we both desired the same, I wasn’t your first choice.
“Husband, respect their wife, Arius, but you keep me as your mistress and marry someone else for business. Now, your Aria is dead, so you want to marry me?” I was struggling to breathe. He was constantly trying to merge me with him. He pressed my quivering lips over his cheek to calm down, but he couldn’t stop the flow of a stream from my eyes.
“She is not-” An unknown sound dared to break the silence and BAMMM…….
I jerked, holding his shirt in my hand, listening to the fire of bullets far from me. He wrapped his hands around my waist and left his hand around my neck. I opened my eyes to come across the baffled ocean, ready to bring the apocalypse into my life with thundering emotions.
“Then, you must be the happiest one, my fragile. I am correcting my mistakes.” He traced his finger over my jaw line while narrowing his eyes at me. He pushed me with so much force, I was losing my balance, but he took my wrist again under his possession and dragged me with him.
“Marcc….. Nicoleeee ‘’ I pleaded for help went unheard. They were watching him drag me in front of the cross. They turned their faces away.
“Alex pleaseeeeee” Arius pulled me swiftly on the stairs and I lost my balance. A pang of pain rushed over my knees when I landed on the stairs. Nicole held her in one place and shook his head at her. Energy was knocked out of me when Arius jerked me up as I was a vine clinging to him.
“You believe in him, right?” He held my neck forcefully and shoved my face to see the cross and the blood dripping from it. I coughed a few times, stealing air to breathe. My punches were ineffective over him and he turned around to face his mafia crowd, pinning me over his chest tight, suffocating me in his anger.
My head was pounding hard, making it difficult to recognise the crowd gathered in front of us. He looked down. I was confused to see the hint of regret in his eyes, but it got covered instantly. I was clinging over him, holding his suit coat on my wrist as tight as possible.
“I, Arius Accardo, took my Snowflake as my solely weeded wife as the queen of this mafia empire to flourish like your smile and tint your soul until it resembles mine. You already have my body, but in this marriage, I offer you every right I possess with equal respect and power.” He declared in a firm voice to shiver my every fire of body, and he ravished my mouth, draining all his anger through a kiss.
I was struggling to move away from him, but his intensity increased at my every resistance. His bitey kiss was daring me to kiss him back. He wrapped his both hands around me and caged me in him as if I was a part of him. Exhausted, I gave up before I lost my consciousness and I responded to his kiss. I know he wouldn’t have broken the kiss until I gave him what he wanted.
His hungry tongue intruded my mouth, taking advantage of my weakness, exploring every corner boldly in front of his family and men. He sucked my tongue, just to put it on display, breaking out a loud moan from me. I tried to push him away as lack of air blurred my vision, and finally, after the longest and embarrassingly vulgar wedding kiss, he let me take air.
He rated my coughing figure over him, holding me gently, surprising me with his touch. Hall was spinning rapidly, making me believe what just happened? The man who was brutally dragging me a few minutes ago was caressing my back, shushing along. My throat was as dry as the Sahara desert. He was supporting my limping body, and I saw a priest kneeling over the floor filled with bullet shells and a gun pointed over his head.
“I pronounce you as man and woman. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Accardo.”
BAMMMM
As he finished his sentence, his body landed on the floor, creating a poodle of blood around his head. Struggling to keep my balance, I looked up at Arius. He had a gentle smile on the end of his lips, but eyes were still concerned.
I tired my gaze away from him, watching everyone in the hall kneeled on the floor, hanging their heads low. Even his father. He picked me up without giving me a chance to take a step away from him and stood in front of them with pride in his eyes.
BAMMM BAMMMM BAMM BAMM BAMM BAMM
I clutched my hands around his neck as they started firing bullets into the air. He smirked and held me closer, nuzzling his face in my neck filling his heart with my smell. His anger disappeared, as it wasn’t exciting before.
“Don’t worry, my love, you will get used to it.” He trailed kisses across my neck to lip and claimed my mouth again while walking towards the door; he dragged me from under the shower of bullet shells instead of flowers.
“Congrats, love. We are a married couple now. Love… sounds serene to call you, right?” My eyes lowered, witnessing the shine and concern in his eyes, and I saw a red dot shifting from his body to vanish away, which evoked suspicion in my mind. Was I kept on gun point the entire time?
