13. What's so unique about that female human?

It was early this morning that I heard the news of a human Dominic brought to his pack house. I have eyes and ears that tell me information I should know about Dominic's pack if he doesn't tell me himself. Anything that happens in Dominic's pack, I'm always aware of it, besides he's my best friend.

I'm a Beta in my own pack, the shadow moon pack while Dominic is the Alpha of the blood moon pack. But both packs are in the same region so we do things together. The Alpha of my pack is on good terms with Dominic and they are both working together to strengthen our packs.

My late father, the formal Beta, was also a good friend of Dominic. After my father's death, I took over his position as the Beta because I'm his only child and also a trained warrior. I have every quality of a good Beta and I believe that I've been doing my job quite well.

I have known Dominic for years, we are best of friends even before he left mystic pack to come establish his own pack here in North America. We both grew up in mystic pack but my family later left the pack because my father was chosen as the Beta of the shadow moon pack. I was so sad at that time, I didn't want to leave Dominic's side but I had no choice.

Luckily something happened in the mystic pack, Dominic left the pack and established his own pack in our region. I was so happy, we reunited again.

I and Dominic have been in many wars together and have gone through many things together, especially when he came to our region. We are still best friends till today and we have achieved many great things in our lives.

We both have lived enough to know important things that should be known about werewolves. We have witnessed a lot of things and we know the rules of the werewolves very vividly. The existence of the werewolves have been hidden from human knowledge for centuries. Although werewolves live among humans and mingle with them, they are still well informed not to reveal their existence to humans.

We, the werewolves, know that humans are weak and yet foolish. If they find out about the werewolves' existence, they will definitely want to hunt them down. Werewolves are so powerful for them to destroy except if they use tools made of silver on them which is the only thing that can kill a werewolf but apart from that, they can't kill werewolves. But for werewolves, killing humans is a measly task for them. To avoid these ruckus or certainly bloodshed, werewolves decided to hide their existence from humans and that had been the best decision because everyone had been living in peace.

As centuries pass by and new technologies are built and the world is also changing. Slowly, werewolves started adapting to the ways of humans and learned most things about them. This way they can live and mingle among humans without them finding out. They work with humans in the same companies, study in the same schools, do many other things with humans without humans knowing what their real nature is.

In this new age, werewolves generated a new method of building packs and that is to build a pack as an estate but only a werewolf is allowed to live in that estate, humans are not allowed to live there. They are also not allowed to come into that estate because they may find out the secret of the werewolves. Even if they somehow come into that estate, it is for a business and any werewolf that invited them will dismiss them that same day they came.

Is not hard to get such an estate approved by the government because most top personnel in the government are all werewolves.

I was shocked when I heard that Dominic brought a human to live in his pack house. He even made everyone treat her with so much respect as if she's the Luna of the blood moon pack— Dominic's pack.

I was so jealous and didn't waste a minute to get to Dominic's pack. I want to see this girl that made Dominic go up against the werewolves rules and what drew Dominic towards her. I love Dominic but he doesn't know about my feelings. I don't even have the courage to confess my feelings to him. Dominic cares so much for me, he can do anything for me and can give me anything. He loves me but as a friend, he sees me as his younger sister but I love him more than a friend.

I haven't met my mate yet, I intentionally kept it that way. I always avoid going to the mating ceremony where I'm likely to meet my mate. I love Dominic so much and I don't want to be tied to one stranger all because of a mate bond. I know that the only thing which can draw me towards my mate is mate bond. My heart loves Dominic and can't love anyone else.

Since Dominic is not fated to have a mate, he can claim any one as his. I am hoping that one day, he will stop seeing me as a friend and will claim me as his woman. No matter how many years it takes, I will wait for Dominic to realize that I love him not just as a friend.

Everyone in the werewolves world knows of Dominic's curse but no one knows the reason why he was cursed, neither do I knows the reason; he refused to tell me. The only thing we know is that he was cursed by the moon goddess not to have a mate. For this reason, Dominic totally became a playboy.

He's a playboy who plays with both humans and werewolves with no feelings attached. I always get jealous seeing him always with different women. I know he doesn't love those women but I couldn't help my jealousy.

He's a man I love, seeing him with another woman will definitely hurt me. I'm afraid that if I gather courage and tell Dominic about my feelings for him that it might affect our friendship, he might leave me. Even if he doesn't leave me because I know he cares so much for me, he might start distancing himself from me. Dominic's heart is so cold towards love, I don't know if that man will ever love.

Despite Dominic being a playboy that messes around with women, he's a strong and valiant Alpha who's feared in the werewolves world.

I know that Dominic messes around with female humans but he has never tried to bring them to his pack house, he only does the dirty things with them in a hotel room. I wonder who this girl he brought to the pack house is and what he truly feels for her. Does he love her? But Dominic's heart is hard as steel, there's no place for love in his heart. What then will be the reason he went against the werewolves rule and brought the female human into his pack house?

What's so unique about that female human? Could it be that Dominic's heart, which can't love, has fallen in love?

No matter what I think, I can't seem to find any reason that will make Dominic go up against werewolves rules and bring a human to his pack house and ask his servants to treat her with so much respect if not that the human is someone special in his heart. But when did this woman come into his heart to even hold a special place in his heart.

My heart tightened as I felt the pain, I hope that whatever I'm thinking is false. I have been with Dominic for years and I am a beautiful she-wolf, he didn't fall in love with me. How can he fall in love with a female human all of a sudden? No, I can't believe it…. It's impossible, he doesn't love talkmore of loving a human.

Also, there's no way he can claim a human…. Is against the werewolves rule. Humans don't know of our existence, claiming a female human only means exposing our secret to them. He can only claim a she-wolf. There have been circumstances where humans are mated to werewolves, though it's rare, it's still not impossible. In such a case, the human is made to swear not to reveal the werewolves' secret.

Even though I know all these facts, especially the fact that Dominic can never claim a human. I still can't help but feel jealous. If truly Dominic feels something for that girl, I'm sure he can go up against every rule just to make her his. That's who Dominic is, once he wants something…. He gets it at all costs.

On reaching Dominic's pack. I was so angry. I wasn't thinking straight, the only thing in my mind was to throw the girl out. When I saw the girl, I couldn't deny how beautiful she was. She has the most beautiful and bright blue eyes that's clear like the sky. My jealousy increased the more. She even dared to ask me who I am.

Throwing her out of the pack house wasn't so hard. I am a Beta who's feared by both male and female wolves. I know that Stephen is stubborn but he knows very well not to disobey a high ranked werewolf like me.

Finally I threw that girl out of the mansion gate, it was a long walk but I didn't mind. Walking back to the mansion. In less than ten minutes, Dominic mind-linked me. I'm sure Stephen or one of his servants must have told him what I did.

“Vanessa, make sure you bring that girl back to my pack house before I return."

I felt a sudden chill due to the intensity of his voice. I was shocked to hear Dominic speak to me that way.
