54. Will you be my wife?

Dominic's point of view:

Today, we had a meeting where we discussed the issue of rogue attacks. The rumor that the rogues are being controlled by the vampires had already reached the ears of the council. They also heard that the vampires are using the rogues because they want to find a human girl. Many believe that the rumor could be false. Why would the vampires go to that extent for a mere human. And some said maybe it is true, what if the human has special power though it's rare to find humans with special power that could benefit an immortal but it's actually not impossible.

They told me that they need to access little bunny to know if she has any special abilities. She's the only human living in our region. So if the rumor is true that means she could be the human the vampires are looking for and she may have a special ability which makes the vampires want her. I told them they will not do such a thing. I know little bunny more than anyone, I'm sure she has no special abilities. What they heard is rumor and just as they called it a rumor, it's ninety percent false news.

I do not want anything that will scare little bunny like bringing her here to question her unnecessarily, so that's why I stood my ground that little bunny is not the human the vampires are looking for and so she won't come here for any questioning or anything else. Even though my decision was not accepted by all, it still didn't make them push the topic further. They drop the topic with the conclusion that the rumor is false. It could be something that the rogues spread to distract us from the main cause.

Once the issue was trashed, they fully brought the issue of the rogues on the table to be treated. No matter what, we must find a way to tackle this rogue issue since the lives of all the members of our packs are in danger. After many suggestions and ideas being laid, we all came to a concrete agreement.

The elders suggested that we should set a trap for them. Since they think that they are so clever, we will show them that we are more clever than them. They always attack without a pack being prepared but now we are always going to be prepared but pretend as if we are not. If they come and we manage to catch one or two of them, we may or we may not get the information that will lead us to their leader or get from them if their leader is a werewolf or a vampire because these rogues are always loyal to their leader but at least we will try.

After concluding that's a better plan, everyone agreed on it. There were also other strategies brought out but multitudes go with the plan of being prepared while pretending not to be prepared. After treating the issue, I told them about my decision to step down as the Alpha of blood moon pack and hand the title over to Liam. It came as a shock to everyone, they even thought I was joking. Everyone was so curious to understand my reason for making such a decision or as well tell them I was joking but still they know that I couldn't joke with such a sensitive topic.

They were even more flabbergasted when I told them my reason which is; leaving the blood moon pack to become the Alpha of the Mystic pack. They all knew my resentment for that pack even though that was where I was born, so they were shocked when I told them about my decision. I told them that I do not have another explanation prior to the one I've given them and I also hope that they will look over my selfishness in making that decision and just let things be the way I've decided.

At the end, they all accepted my decision even though it wasn't an easy conclusion to come to. Liam and Kyle weren't pleased at all but I was glad when they didn't push the topic further. Liam will make a good leader, the council accepted him to be the next Alpha of blood moon pack while Kyle will become the beta and then a new Gamma will be assigned to the pack from the lineage of Gammas.

Liam and Kyle had something to settle while I returned to the pack house alone. I met little bunny at the dining table. Seeing her face took away all my stress. After having dinner we returned to our room. I took my bath and join little bunny on the bed. I need to tell little bunny about us going to the Mystic pack.

I kiss her hair as she snuggles closer to me. I inhaled her intoxicating scent, I love the way she smells. It always drives my senses away.

“Little bunny, I want to tell you something," I said.

She raises her head to stare at me. “What is that?"

I took a deep breath before speaking. I told her everything she needs to know about my family. My mother's death and how I blamed my father and my pack—Mystic pack for her death. How I left my pack and the hardship I went through before I managed to become the Alpha of blood moon pack, a new pack created by the regional council. I told her how I grew the pack to become great today.

Finally, I told her of how my father wanted to kill her. The incident at the party where she fainted wasn't ordinary, it was Phoebe that wanted to kill her. I told her how I went to the Mystic pack to warn my father but ended up learning the truth from Ma Abigail of how my mother died. My father actually didn't want to hurt her, it was the mate bond and also he can't reject his mate because if he does,he will be weak and that will jeopardize the safety of his pack members.

I told her how my father and his mate begged me to return to Mystic pack and take the position of the Alpha and also what an old woman told me in the past, saying that I'm destined to be the Alpha of Mystic pack. After dwelling in confusion and thinking so much, I finally came to a conclusion that I will go to the Mystic Pack to become their Alpha and I want her to go with me and be my Luna. She talked about my father wanting to kill her but I told her he won't do it again.

“I know that it will be difficult for you to leave your country and go with me to another country and take the responsibility of becoming the Luna of the werewolves. You are a human, taking that huge responsibility will be hectic for you and…" I couldn't complete my sentence before she placed her forefinger on my lips.

“No, it won't be hectic. I love you. I should have stopped loving you when I learned what you are but I didn't, so whatever comes with this love I will accept it. The only thing I want is for your people to accept me, the rest is not a problem."

“Of course they will accept you, I believe so. I will make sure that it won't be a burden for you when you choose to love me. The Luna position is a hard position to keep as it comes with a lot of responsibility but I will make sure you have a good training for it and I will make sure that you don't overwork yourself."

“I know that you are with me, I have nothing to worry about. I will gladly accept the training and I will do my best to be a good Luna to your people." She chips in.

I smile and kiss her hair gently. “Not my people but our people. You will be my Luna, so you will be their Luna as well. Practically, they are your people."

“Yes, they are my people and I believe that I will be a good Luna." She smiled.

“Yeah, you will be a good Luna. The best," I said and she giggled. I tilt her face to stare at me. I love these beautiful sky-blue eyes, I fall in love with them everyday.

”I don't know how humans propose to their women but I want to propose to you…. will you be my wife?" I asked and she laughed out loud. I even joined her in laughing, I think I messed up.

This idea just came to my mind at this moment. Since I'm not a human, I don't know how they do things but I'm sure they propose to a woman they want to spend the rest of their life with.

Marriage is not a vital thing among werewolves but for humans, it's a process you will go with the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with. For werewolves, once you meet your mate there's no need to go through marriage because she is yours because you two are already meant to be together forever.

For little bunny to laugh when I proposed to her, it means that I didn't do it right. I wonder what I miss.
