Vera's point of view:

I couldn't hold back my laugh when Dominic randomly proposed to me. I can't believe this is how he proposes to a woman he wants to marry. No ring, no romantic settings, at least he should make it a surprise for the lady but instead, he proposes while we are in bed. It was just so funny.

Of course I know he wouldn't know things like this. I'm sure werewolves do not get married as humans do.

“Little bunny, did I miss something?"

“Of course you do. How could you suddenly propose without a ring or make it a little bit romantic." I replied.

“A ring? Do I need to propose with a ring?" He asked.

“Yes, you are supposed to buy a ring. Once you get the ring, you will make the proposal a surprise event to make it a little bit romantic by romantically decorate the place where you chose to propose to her. Some people gather their friends to witness the proposal but some do it among themselves and you need to make it in such a way that the girl in question will feel emotional once she sees what you prepared for her. It's one of the days that every girl anticipates but I don't think I'm among that girl. I want a simple proposal where it's just the ring and your love," I explained.

“So, If I buy a ring now." He kissed my lips gently. “You will say yes."

“Whether you propose or not. I will be yours forever."

“Your words are fucking sexy." he grabbed my lips for a hot passionate kiss which I welcomed warmly.

The next day, I went to meet my grandmother. I need to tell her about me leaving the country. I've already accepted to go to London with Dominic. Why will I even say no when no one wants me here. The only people that matter to me in this country are my best friend Nina, my grandma and my friends at the mansion. I will miss them all. Dominic said that Liam will become the Alpha of blood moon pack while Kyle will become the Beta, a Gamma will be assigned to them. I will really miss the mansion if I leave with Dominic to London. I will miss my friends, Liam and Kyle. I will also miss Mr. Angus the butler and other workers in the mansion. I've fondly grow to like them and feel comfortable around them. They treat me nice, I hope those in Mystic pack will treat me the same.

The car was packed in my family's packing lot. The door was opened for me as I stepped down. I don't want to come here but I have no choice, I needed to see my grandma for the last time before I leave. Even though I will go to London with Dominic, I will still visit America occasionally. I have loved ones I left here so I won't abadone them.

I pressed the doorbell of my family's house and the door was opened by Mary the maid.

She smiled lovingly at me. “Good morning ma'am, you are welcome."

“Thank you Mary, is my grandma at home?" I asked. I'd told my grandma that I will visit her but I somehow find the need to ask Mary the question.

“Yes, she's the only one at home. Your mother and your sisters are not at home," she replied. I nodded at her with a smile before walking ahead to my grandma's room. I'm glad that my mother and sisters are not at home, I'm not ready to face them.

I didn't see my grandma in her room so I moved to her library. My grandma loves reading so she build a small library for herself in the house. I actually love reading but not as much as my grandmother does. Just as I'd expected, I met her at the library.

“Grandma." I squeaked lightly. Her face lit up in a beautiful smile when she saw me. She stood up and hug me.

“Vera honey, how are you doing?"

“I'm fine, grandma. What about you? I hope you are doing well?" I sat down with a vivid smile on my face.

“Yes my dear. I've been taking my medication properly and I have nothing to worry about since I'm healthy."

“I'm glad to hear that. I love to see you healthy grandmother, it always makes me happy," I said.

“Honey, what do you want to have? I will ask the maids to bring it."

“I'm okay grandma. I will not need anything. I'm here because I want to tell you about something."

Grandma looked keenly at me. “Yes my dear, what do you want to talk about?"

I took a deep breath before I spoke. “Grandma, I'm planning on leaving the country with my boyfriend."

She stares surprisingly at me or maybe she's confused— trying to process what I just said.

“You want to leave the country with your boyfriend?" She asked. “Wait… are you planning to leave America, to where? To leave us your family and go with your boyfriend? Don't you think about us at all?"

I felt a bit guilty of my decision. I don't care about others but I should have think about my grandma. I know that my decision is selfish but I can't help it, I will still stick to it. I love Dominic and I've promised to go to London with him so I won't break my promise.

“Tell me you are joking Vera. All of a sudden you are telling me that you will leave the country with your boyfriend." She sounded disappointed. Which boyfriend are we talking about here? Is it the man Lyn talked about the other day?

“Yes," I nodded.

“For how long have you been together and how well do you know that man that you want to leave the country with? How can you easily trust him and what do you even know about him? Also, I haven't met this man we are talking about and I don't know if he's a good man. How can a good grandma allow her grandchild to leave with a man she knows nothing about. What if something bad happens to you?"

“Grandma." I gently take her hand. “I won't blame you for genuinely being worried. Any mother would react the same. I know you haven't met him but he's a good man. He's not a bad person grandma and I trust him. He loves me and I love him too."

“How sure are you that he loves you?" She asked. I was dumbfounded for a second before I found my voice but grandma beat me to it. “Men can be deceiving my dear, they can't be trusted. You may love him but he may not feel the same. What reason does he have to leave the country with you. Okay… I want to meet him, you cannot leave the country if I don't meet him and be fully aware that he's a good man and can take care of you."

I sighed. I didn't know this will be hard as it is now. Will Dominic have the chance to meet my grandma? He's always busy. I can't leave the country if my grandma is not in support of it so Dominic will definitely need to spare some time to meet my grandma.

“Okay grandma, I will bring him to meet you," I said.

“Fine. Which place are you going with him?"

“London," I simply replied.

“London is a good city and beautiful too. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay there. All I want you to do is to bring your boyfriend so that I will see him."

“Yes I will."

Grandma sighs and gently cups my cheeks. “You know that I care so much for you my dear, I'm only looking out for you."

I smiled. “Of course I know, grandma. You are the best grandma in the world."

She chuckled and hugged me. “And you are the best granddaughter in the world."

We both laugh heartily. I don't want to keep secrets from my grandma but I've already told Dominic that I won't tell anyone about his identity.

After spending time with my grandma, I left my family house. I was glad that my mother and my sisters didn't come back during the period of time I spent with my grandma. Grandma didn't mention them in our conversation and I appreciated that.

I already called Nina so that we can meet. I want to spend good time with her and also tell her about me going to London. She's my best friend and I will miss her, that's why I want to spend some time with her today. We will visit interesting places and have fun. I stopped by at the cooking school and told them I will stop attending classes. They were not happy at all, both the teachers and the students said that they will miss me. I will also miss them too, they are all nice people.
