Maryam's POV

After some minutes he came and rushed to me "hey were you the one who called me?" He ask and I nod

"Are you my daddy's friend?" I ask him and he smile before making his way to the driver sit.He looked at daddy and his face became pale all of a sudden, he take him out and we rushed him to the hospital, after some minutes the doctor came out and said to him

"Can I talk to you?" He nod his head and was about to follow him then I hold his hand "what's wrong with my Daddy? Is he OK? Can I go see him now?"

"I'm sorry baby, but I still don't know till the doctor explain,do you want to come along?" He ask and I nod

We both entered the doctors office and he offers us a sit

"Mr Jawad I'm sorry to say this,the patient you brought how's he to you? " the doctor ask him

"He's my blood brother"

"What? He's my daddy's brother? Then does that mean he's my Uncle?" I thought

"OK you see we tried all our best to save him,it took you so long to bring him to the hospital, if you had brought him earlier,may be it wouldn't have turn this way,we really tried our best to save him but we couldn't"

"What's he trying to say?" I thought

"I'm sorry we couldn't able to save him,he's dead" he said

"Innalillahi wa'ina illaihi raji'un" My uncle said

"What? My Daddy? Sir...Sir what happened to my Daddy? He's dead? Does that mean my Daddy can't breathe again? Please tell me what happened to my Daddy! My Daddy can't die right? He promise me! He told me he's going to surprise me! Is this his surprise? On my birthday? La'illaha illalahu Muhammad Rosulillahi sallalahu alai'i-wasalam" I said crying

"Maryam right?" He said and I nod afraid to speak

"Everything happens for a reason,please I want you to take heart OK?"

After some minute he called all of our families and we left hospital with the corpse of my Dad

He took me to a beautiful Mansion,many people are there already sitting and was consoling me,I thank everyone by saying "thank you Ma,thank you sir"

"Wow! She's such a brave girl! She answered us with so much respect and she's acting old enough! I like her already" that was what everyone have been saying but one thing they don't know is that when someone died not that it's not good not to cry but I believe that when someone die it's Adu'a the person need most. After the rite was done everyone went to their respective home and promise to come back for the three days Adu'a

"Maryam" My Uncle called me

"Yes sir" I said standing up from where I was sitting

"Come with me"

I followed him and we both entered a beautiful room,I saw a woman sitting tapping her foot on the floor like she's about to fight someone, she looked at my direction and feared took over me all of a sudden

"Maryam don't be scared......OK?

"Nana,you know her already right? She's Abdul's daughter Maryam, and from now on she will be staying with us, coz she has no one else now but us"

"What?! No way I'm going to take her in! She's not our daughter Jawad! Let just take her to an orphanage home! Moreover her Dad's no more,her Mom is no more so the orphans home will suit her more" she said trying to make her husband reason with her

"Nana! How could you talk in this way?! She's my brother's daughter!"

"You said it all she's your brother's daughter, not your daughter not my daughter which implies that we're both not her parent,so therefore I'm not ever going to accept her"

"Nana please can you just keep quiet for a minute?!" He said glaring at her before facing me and said softly "Maryam can you tell me what happened back there before the accident?"

"Sir.... Walahi I was only trying to make my Daddy take a little sip in the ice cream he bought for me,but mistakenly the spoon fell down and daddy wants to take it for me not knowing that another car was coming towards our way and the car has lost his balance,then it hitted my daddy's car"

"You see what I'm telling you Jawad! This girl is nothing but a bad luck,I'm very sure there's an evil spirit following her up and down,she killed her Mother and now her Father,then who next? Me? Or you? I'm telling you Jawad I'll never accept this girl into my house"

"Your house or my house?"

"We both owns it, in as far as I'm still your wife I have full authority in this house"

"Nana please I'm not ready for any of your argument again"

"Then you throw this filthy thing out of this house if not I'm going to make her life miserable that even you yourself won't be able to recognise her" she said facing him before turning her attention to me "stupid girl! bastard!.....lemme tell you one thing you're nothing but a bad luck and will always be,you can't come to my house and kill me,before you do that I'm going to make sure I make you suffer before I kill you! Move out of my way witch" she said pushing me before hissing then she walk out from the room

I fell down crying, did I really kill my Daddy? Was it my fault my Daddy died? Daddy I'm sorry! I missed you already Daddy,its not even up to twenty four hours and I'm missing you already" I thought

"Maryam" my Uncle called me and make me sit on the bed

"Yes sir" I answered back wiping off my tears

"Please don't cry again,I don't want you to think about what your mummy just said,you'll live in this house with us,and I don't want you to think of your self as an outsider OK? Coz you're my blood,even though I'm not your real father.....To me you're my daughter so please no more cries"

"Thank you Sir, you're such a nice Man" I said smiling

"Thank you kid and don't call me Sir again from now on,you can call me Dad"

"Dad?"

"Yes Dad"

"But can I call you Daddy?"

"Of course you can call me Daddy, I'll be happy to hear that from you,it been long I heard that word" he said smiling and I smiled too

"But about what his wife said,she said I killed my Mom... Is it true? Should I ask him? I hope he won't get angry with me" I thought

"Daddy about your wife? She said-"

"Ehn! Ehn!! Ehn!!! What's this?! Why are you sitting on my matrimonial bed witch?! Ohhh! So now that you've killed your father and mother, you want to kill my husband again too ehn! You want to turn me to a widow?! Eh!!!! Neighbours help me oooo,please come to my aid! my husband has brought a witch to kill all of us in the house ooo" she said shouting dramatically

"Nana! Nana!! Nana please not again,this girl has done nothing wrong to you"

"Mummy-"

"Will you keep quiet! Who's your Mommy?! I'm no Mommy to a witch"

"Maryam can you excuse us for a minute?" My second Daddy said smiling. I nod my head and went out

"See lemme tell you one thing! You'll leave this house for me! I can never live with a witch! Me and you can never live under the same roof" she said yelling
