Jacob's POV

Alright... EXPLAIN.

Seth's angry voice growled.

I sigh and hang my head down.

Well...nothing much to explain...She imprints on me and I imprint on her...It's a double imprint....

Seth looked at me as if he wanted to kill me; he stared into my eyes for a minute then turned around and started patrolling around the inner circle.

Redhead is back, you take the outer patrol.

And that was all I got from Seth the whole afternoon.

I sighed once more; knowing that Tav feel the same makes me feel better. But, hearing her denied it...

I whined at the three words she last said. NO! I didn't!

Why did she say that? She doesn't want to imprint on me? She doesn't love me?

Just thinking about that, upset me.

I heard a noise and swiftly turned around.

Tav? I said, trying not to sound too hopeful.

Nope! Leah.

I sighed and continuing thinking about my problem with Tav.

She loves you, you know?

AHH! No wonder she is angry at you. Males are so clueless.

No Jake. I am not. I am just talking about the girl that loved you, and then got ditched by you.

Then, when you got over your depression and you thought that you were falling for Tav, you ditched her again because of BELLA.

The silence was unbearable as I think through all those that happened or could happened.

How...Did she tell you all these?

Knowing Tav, she wasn't the kind of person to spill their heart to people.

That doesn't matter. What matter is that you should do something about this...It's hurting her and ... it hurts us to see her like that...She might not shows it but we all know...who hurt her...

And then Leah phased back behind the tree and went away.

All I could think about was that TAV LOVES ME BEFORE SHE IMPRINTED...

Seth's POV

I ran as I listened closely to the 'private' conversation, I asked my sister to have a little with Jacob. Someone should point out to him how much he is hurting Tav, except, I am not the right person to say that. It would be...too weird... I don't know, I mean it just doesn't feel right to go up to your best friend and tell him that he broke the heart of a girl you love.

So...I tasked my sister to do it for me...Tav still doesn't know about this 'talk' and I was not planning to tell her. Neither were any of them...I hope. Tav might get angry with me for telling Leah. But...I didn't mean to...

Leah looked at me and I can tell she was shocked that this included Tav.

So, I did...Everything....not the best idea I think, but what else could a confused boy do when he is in love with his best friend's imprint...

I sighed and keep trotting along the patrol. A sickening sticky smells drift towards me and my wolf sense kick in, fast.

Howling as loud as I could, I tried to call the entire pack to meet up.

Jacob was the first one there, seeing as he wasthe closest.

Victoria is back?

Who else?...

There is more than just one leech, some newborns too, I think.

Just then, we are joined by Embry and Jared. They came back from chasing Victoria. Embry was still panting from the chase.

I...I...WE chased her halfway down then we realise a different leech was bring more new borns in so we rushed back as fast as we could.

There are a lot of leeches out there, mainly newborns.

Sam and the rest of the pack, including Tav and Leah were also there. Tav took one look at Jake and turned around while Leah was staring at Jacob. Sam took control once he is here.

Quil go get the Cullen's and warn them about Victoria. Tell them there are newborn armies. Jake and Tav, start patrolling again, make sure the army don't come anywhere near La Push. They should be heading to Forks, though. Jared stayed here to guard and the rest of the pack, come to Forks with me.

Quickly, everyone followed what the alpha laid out and I gave a quick glance towards Jake and Tav.

Tav's POV

Being alone with Jacob was...calming in some ways, yet so intense at the same time... Seeing Jacob made me feel...protected and safe, although whenever I looked at him in the eyes, the image of Bella and him together flash right back.

That was enough to smash my heart into millions of pieces.

I tried to keep myself busy so I wouldn't have time to think about the imprint since he can read my mind.

Tav...Tav...I

I ignored him the best I could.

...Tav? Listen to me, please....Tav

Still ignoring him....

Tav....Tav.....

I stopped.

WHAT DO YOU WANT, JACOB BLACK?

....Tav...I know you are mad at me...but please listen to me...

Jacob was silent, shocked that I was actually listening. I know I really shouldn't be alone with him for too long, because I knew that if I stayed...He will melt my anger, my fear and...my heart., but the force of the imprint was so strong, it was impossible to simply walk away from it, to disobey it.

Please forgive me, Tav. I...didn't know that you loved me before you phased....I am sorry....I don't know. Tav, I...I am in love with you...Not Bella, YOU, Tavia. Please give me another chance. Please.

I was really confused, I...don't know if I should trust him or not. I wasn't sure if I should give him another chance. I healed his heart in the past and in return... he broke mine...Does he deserve another chance?

I really don't know...

Jake...Let's just focus on saving...Bella...Okay? We...We can talk about this later.

Tav. I don't want to talk about this later. I want to clear this out now. This. This is hell for me, being ignored by you, like I don't even exist...hurts me real deep, Tav.ia

Really? Then you would know how YOU make ME feel. I glared at Jacob.

Suddenly I was crashed into a tree and we were surrounded by a bunch of newborns.

TAVIA!

I heard Jacob yelled out at me and I quickly get back on all fours.

Are you okay, Tav? You're not hurt? Tav?

I am fine. Get Jared to help.

Jacob howled loudly to let Jared know that we need him and the next thing I knew, Jared, Jacob and I were standing face to face with an army of six or seven newborns.

Jacob was standing protectively in front of me, blocking the newborn's and also blocking my way of attack.

Jake. Get out of my way. I can take care of myself.

NO! Tavia, I am going to protect you no matter what. I am not going to lose you, ever again...

Edward's POV

As Quil filled us with the news, Bella was there, listening in. She was shaking a little and I put my arm around her reassuringly. I looked at Jasper and he gave me a brief nod.

Slowly, Bella calmed down and sat quietly afterwards, but I could still sense her discomfort about putting the pack and us in danger. I gave her a small squeeze and she turned around to look at me with her big brown eyes.

Edward.

I instantly looked over to my family and saw that it was Alice who called me. I gave her a questioning look.

Don't worry about Bella. Jasper helped calm her down. She will be alright with Esme.

I sighed and gave her a small nod.

And so it was arranged that Jasper, Emmett, Carlisle, Rosalie, Alice and I will go finish the newborns. And, of course with the pack's help.

I found myself wondering about that new wolf...Tav and how her imprint romance with the Jacob mutt is going. Bella broke my thoughts as she turned to me and gave me a kiss. It was warm, and I could feel the blood pumping through her. I shook myself mentally and as usual, struggled to hold myself as I returned the kiss. I broke the kiss and Bella fell in my arms.

"Edward-Be careful. Don't hurt yourself...You know I can't live without you. Please...Take care of yourself. I can't bear to lose anyone for me. It's terrible, please please please Edward...." Bella said in between sobs and then she gave up holding the tears in and her tears came flooding in.

I gave her a kiss on her forehead and gave her hand a small squeeze.

"I will be okay...I promise." I said, except at times like that...it's hard to keep promises. So I gave her another passionate but controlled kiss and then I left her with Esme.

Bella's POV

I couldn't let Edward's hand go so I clung to it as hard as I could. But, Edward just turned around and gave a small kiss and pulled my hands away gently with ease.

I frowned.

"I will be okay...I promise." Was all he said before he left.

Somehow, he doesn't sound so convincing to me and I broke down as soon as their car left the drive way.

Tears were running down my faces and Esme came over to give me a comforting hug.

How could I be so stupid? If I wasn't a human then Victoria can't hurt me at all...I am putting everyone in danger. Edward, Alice, Emmett and...Jacob. The wolf pack and even...that girl who I don't know...Tavia. She have to put her life in risk for me...a girl that she doesn't know at all.....

A pang of jealousy hit me as I gave thoughts to this girl.

At lease Jacob found his imprint.

But, if one of them lost their...if anyone there lost their life...their loved ones or imprint is going to be heartbroken.

And it will be all because of me....

Tav's POV

I whined in pain as another strike hit me on my right shoulder.

Damn their newborn power.

I made sure I got a strong grip on the newborn's arm as I bit and tear it out and chuck it on the floor carelessly. I shifted my weight a little, checking if my foot was really NOT broken before I joined Leah's fight with the three newborns surrounding her.

Jake's POV

I growled as I ripped another vampire apart. I finished her as fast as I could and turned to see Leah and Tav being surrounded by ten or so newborns.

Whoa, what did you do to attract them?

Seeing Leah like that almost made me smug, but a reminder that Tav is right next to her??

Not good.

I leaped in the air and managed to jump on one of them and I saw Tav also ripping one apart . I didn't have time to see how Leah is doing, since another newborn just jumped on top of me.

Tav's POV

As I took another vampire down, I managed to catch a breath and steady my foot and my mind before more opponents came crowding around me.

Uhhh....One not proper trained wolf onto 5 newborns? Not fair!

But, I guess they aren't trained either...

I might be good on one vampire, but on five? I really don't think I will make it back alive...

One of them took action and sprint at me in full speed, knocking me into a hard tree trunk.

ARGH!!! I hate you, vampires!!

I growled loudly as I tried my best to snap at everything in front of me, then I saw a patch of russet brown fur stood before me as I faded into darkness.

Tav's POV

I opened my eyes to total darkness. I blinked a couple of times and reached up to touched my eyes. And, suddenly pain struck me in my head, my legs and my back. I flashed my eyes open and was greeted by some very bright lights.

"Ouch..." I mumbled and closed my eyes.

Darkness greeted me again and pain was everywhere. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't move. I wanted to yell out for help, but I couldn't. Something was blocking me. I needed help, somene who can take away the pain instantly. This pain was too much for me, too much for anyone.

I moaned loudly and suddenly I felt a cold freezing hand on my forehead, and that took the pain away a little, not much, but enough for now...

"Tavia? How are you feeling?" A sweetening sticky voice called out to me. Although, my pain felt better slowly under the cold pressure, the instant my nose detected the smell of a vampire, my body tensed up and was on full alert.

I jumped up and opened my eyes to see the two Cullen's. I recognize Edward and a vampire with blond hair.

Who's he? Wait...don't tell me...I should know...Is he Doctor Cullen?

I looked at Edward and saw him nod. I turned to Doctor Cullen and gave him a small smile.

"Sorry. Werewolf senses." I said, apologising.

"Of course, Tavia. Don't worry about it." He replied politely.

I was quite curious about the way they called me by my full name. Personally, I preferred Tav. But, I was not going say anything, considering the fact that I was in a house with a bunch of vampires. I caught a slight smile on Edward's lips. I stared ta him.

Hmmm...I don't like him reading my mind...

Again, the smug smile on Edward's face widened.

Suddenly, the memory of the fight with the newborns came rushing back to me and I stumbled back onto the hospital-like bed that I was just on a while ago.

Pain hit me again, as my body came to a rough landing on the bed.

"Where's the pack? How are they? Did anyone get hurt? How's Paul? How about Seth? And Leah? Did Jac-"

I paused.

Jacob, how's Jake? He was the one that saved me, he was the one that came and stood before me...Jake...I really hope he didn't get hurt.

There was another amusement look on Edward's face. I looked away and crossed my arms across my chest.

Humph. Well, Mr Cullen, I am glad I am entertaining to you!

He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by a loud bang at the door.

"TAV? Tav, you are okay! You are still alive!" A voice yelled as he burst through the door.

I looked up and saw.....Paul.

I hid my disappointment and gave him a weak smile.

"Of course I am alive, why wouldn't I be?" I said as he crushed me into a bear hug.

"Ouch, Paul. Gentle."

Paul quickly back away and gave me a sheepish grin, "Sorry, Tav. I miss you, we thought you might...well...you know...but you didn't!"

My eyes widen in shock.

I was going to die, I was that weak??

Edward turned to look at me and gave a slight nod. However, Carlisle replied instead, "Yes, Tavia. For some of the times, you were very weak and we almost thought we were going to lose you, but then...the pack came in and talked to you one by one and well...I guess that help you pulled through."

One by one? Does that means Jake was with me?

I sneak a look at Edward, hoping he would answer my questions. Though, he had yet, another amusing smile tugging on his lips but he nodded again anyway as my reply.

Stop smirking. It's not funny...How is Jake? Is he hurt?

"Paul, how's Jake? Is anyone else hurt? How about Seth?" I asked in a hurry and I managed to get up and started limping over to the door. Paul walked over to me and pick me up.

"No walking for you, Miss Tavia." He said as he started speeding down the stairs. "No one is in any major danger due to the fast healing ability...Seth hurted his right arm and Jared broke his left foot but they are both healing very quickly...except..."

"Except what?" I asked, heart pumping.

Please don't be Jake. Please don't be Jake.

"Except...maybe you should see it for yourself." He said as he placed me down on a chair and wheeled me to the pack. They were all crowding around the sofa. But the question was who is on the sofa?

I ticked the names off from the people in the pack mentally as I observed the ones that's there.

One is missing....

"JACOB BLACK? Don't tell me you are hurt. Please don't." I said, holding back my tears.

The pack moved away and finally I could see those I found my eyes locking tightly to his and was moving closer. Closer to Jake. I stumbled over and sat on the sofa he was lying on.Once I saw Jake's emotionless body and his right side bandaged, a part of me broke inside.

"Jake? Are you o-?" I asked, but broke down in tears before I could finish.

"Tav..."
