Tavia's POV
“Tav...”
I looked up to meet the wary smile Jake had on his face.
“Tav...Don’t worry about me. I am fine...as long as you are too.” He said and gently touched my hands.
“Jake...” I muttered and grabbed his hands in concerns. “How badly are you hurt?”
“I...um...not too badly...I felt better once I saw you...Plus you are sitting next to me now, this can’t get any better.” Jacob replied, watching me. “How are you? Your injuries healing up? Is your back alright? Does your head hurt too much?”
I laughed quietly as he shot out questions about my health. Hearing Jacob worrying about me made me feel at peace and eased my pain easily.
“Jacob.” I mumbled as I stroke his face lovingly, “I am fine...just a little pain. How about you? Does your shoulder hurt?”
Jacob stared at me intensely and his eyes were filled with so much love and care, it was almost as if the world had disappeared and only Jacob and I were here.
He was just about to reply when...someone from the pack started sniggering. I turned around and saw Embry and Quil trying to hide their grin.
All the rest of the pack was smiling happily too, well, except for one, Seth. I frowned but turned my focus back on Embry and Quil.
“Tavia, how is your back? And your head? Are you okay? Shall I kiss it better?” Quil mocked and Embry cracked up laughing.
“Oh Jacob! I am totally fine but how about you? Is your shoulder alright? Maybe I should kiss it better!” Embry continued and this time Jared and Paul joined in and start laughing with the boys.
I turned back to Jake and sighed.
“Boys...” I said, shaking my head.
“What’s wrong with them?” Jacob asked me, a mischievous smile tugging on the side of his mouth.
“Nothing.” I said as Jake kissed me softly on the lips and brought me away from the world.

Jacob’s POV
The kiss I shared with Tav was...magical, I couldn’t express the feeling and how right it felt to collided Tav’s lips with mine. It was almost as if that empty hole of me has now been filled with Tav’s love and care.
I felt that my life was finally completed; having Tavia in my life was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Everything about her was perfect, her warm brown eyes, her silky black hair and most of all, her soft lips. The way her lips touched mine, it was slow but sweet.
I really hope that Tav has forgiven me and I knew what I did hurt her. I will try my hardest to earn her trust again. I will show her that Bella is nothing to me now...except a friend. But really, through my eyes, any other girls compared to Tav, was nothing, total zero. I will prove it to Tavia that I will never ever break her heart again and I will mend the broken pieces from her heart with my real love. I am willing to do anything that Tavia wants.
And, hopefully, that will be good enough...
Tav’s POV
I was awoken by the extreme heat. I noticed that my body temperature was higher than usual...Not that my usual temperature was ever normal, but...this was too hot, even for a wolf.
I tried to sit up but found it difficult. The pain in my legs was starting to come back. I let out a small moan and tried once more to push away the pair of warm hands that were tightly secured around my waist.
I turned to see a sleeping Jacob with his right side all bandaged up. He was snoring slightly and I pushed him on his left shoulder slightly, hoping that would wake him up.
“Jake! Wake up!” I whispered quietly, giving him another gentle push.
Jake didn’t even budge.
“JAKE!” I yelled, louder this time.
He gave a small groan and I growled in irritations.
“JACOB BLACK! WAKE UP AND GETS YOUR HANDS OFF ME SO I CAN GO!” I shouted as loud as I could. Jacob finally woke and let his hands go quickly. He sat up and rubbed his neck nervously.
“Sorry, Tav. I didn’t mean to...” He started.
Just then, Billy came in.
“Good morning, Tav. I see you finally got Jacob awake.” He said with a smile.
“Oh sorry, Billy. Did I wake you too? I am sorry, it was...just...Jacob wouldn’t move and I couldn’t get out.” I said, a bit ashamed at myself for waking Billy.
“Don’t worry about it, Tav. I was already awake. I will go make breakfast for you two now, shouldn’t I.” He said kindly as he left Jake and I alone.
“...Tav...I...” Jacob tried to start again, but I stopped him.
“Don’t worry Jake. I just yelled at you so you would wake up.” I mumbled tiredly and gave him a small smile as I tried to get up to go to the bathroom.
But my legs failed me and I could feel myself falling to the ground. I braced myself for the hard floor but was surprised when I landed in a pair of warm and strong arms.
I looked up and saw a grinning Jake.
“Um...Thanks.” I muttered and stood up again, but this time, I was pulled back into Jake’s comforting arms by a warm hand.
“Tav...” Jake said and stared into my eyes.
“Yes?” I grumbled, getting a little impatience.
“I just want you to know...that I will always be behind you and I will always be here for you whenever you need me.” He beamed and helped me up slowly.
As I walked towards the bathroom, my impatience was replaced with love and passion. Emotions that I thought I would never be able to experience again.
Seth's POV
It was painful to see Tav with Jake. Yet, what can I do? I wasn't the one that imprinted on Tavia. I shouldn't be able to have any feelings towards her. Not on my best friend's imprint anyway.
I groaned as I recall yesterday's memory.
"Shut up. They are asleep." Quil shushed as Embry and he carried Jake back into his house. Paul quietly followed behind with Tav in his arms.
"Where do we put them?" Embry questioned as Billy came into view and made his way over to us.
"Embry? I see you brought Jake back and Tav too. Are they alright?" Billy asked with concern.
"They are fine, Billy. Jake crushed some ribs on his right side and Tav's back is badly bruised but really other than that, they were pretty lucky." Paul replied, shaking his head.
"Be careful then."
Billy gave us a small nod and left us alone.
"Jake is really heavy, let's just hurry up and drops him somewhere." Embry complained as he tried to lift Jake back up again. Quil frowned at him but helped Embry placed Jake on the couch anyway. Paul then gently put Tav next to Jake.
I was filled with jealously and was trying hard to swallow it down, "Should we put Tav somewhere else? I mean Jacob took all the space..." I suggested, staring at the two.
"Who cares? Tav is Jacob's imprint; she wouldn't mind getting squashed by the love of her life, would she?" Quil sniggered, watching them with wide eyes.
I clenched my fists and growled quietly to myself.
"Let's go now, I am hungry!" Embry whined.
"You are always hungry." Quil commented, smacking Embry lightly on the head.
Paul chuckled and rushed us out the door.
The guys started to walk home and I turned to give a last glance at Tav as Jake slide his arms around her waist naturally.
I sighed and closed the door.
Has Tav really forgiven Jake for he did?
Will I ever stand a chance?
Even against the power of imprint?
No way, Seth. Not a chance.
Tav’s POV
As the week past slowly, the bruise on my back had disappeared, my head didn’t hurt anymore and my legs are back to normal. Jacob’s right side is also healing up nicely too. Thanks to our fast werewolf healing skills.
I had spent the whole week at the Black’s and since Paul is always here to see Rachel, he would check up on me every so often.
Thanks to Billy, I don’t have to sleep on the couch anymore. He has kindly let me stayed in Rebecca’s old room. Jacob’s house feels so cosy and comfortable. I feel safe and protected when I am in the Black’s residence.
“Tavia?” A voice called out to me from behind.
I turned around.
“Yes, Billy?”
“Could you please get some groceries for me? Food is almost gone, since you and Jacob eat so much.” Billy chuckled lightly.
I blush a little.
True, I might eat a lot, but compare to Jacob, I hardly eat anything. However, Jacob and I did clear up most of the food in the house. Well, it was hard not to...
“Sure thing. What do you want me to get?” I asked.
“Here.” Billy said as he handed me the list. “Where’s Jake? He should come with you.”
“No, no. It’s fine, beside he is still asleep.” I said in a hurry.
“Alright then. Be careful.” Billy warned me with a smile.
“Thanks, I’ll be back soon.” I said as I head toward the door.
“Oh. One more thing, Tavia. I will be at Sue’s place today and I will be staying for dinner.” He said, “You kids take care of yourselves.”
“No problem, Billy. You have fun.” I said as I stepped out the door.
Jacob’s POV
I groan as my alarm clock went off. I grabbed the alarm clock from the table and throw it to the floor, stopping the annoying noise right away.
I sighed.
Waking up in the morning is certainly not one of my favourite things to do.
I adjust myself to a sitting position and ruffled my hair.
I groan again to myself as I made my way to the shower.
Tav’s POV
Carrots.
I searched for the last item on the list and moved towards to the cashier.
What should I make tonight for dinner? Or, should we just go to Sam’s?
I paid for the groceries and walk slowly back to the car.
Go to Sam’s, we’ve been missing out on Emily’s cooking for a week now. Besides, I am sure Emily can cook better than me.
I nodded to myself as I placed the groceries at the back of the car.
Jacob’s POV
I changed into a new pair of shorts then I wandered over to the kitchen.
“Tav?” I yelled, wondering where she is.
I rushed to Rebecca’s old room and looked inside.
No one.
“TAV?” I shouted, panic rising in my chest.
I went back to the living room after checking every other room in the house. And that’s when I noticed a note from Dad on the coffee table.
Son,
Tavia went to get the groceries for me and I will not be back for dinner tonight. I will be at the Clearwater’s’. Take care of Tav.
Billy
Damn. Why didn’t Tav asked me to go with her? She might be a shape-shifter but that doesn’t mean she won’t get hurt. I should go look for her. It’s dangerous for her to be out there by herself.
Aren’t you a bit overprotective?
A sudden voice asked me in my head.
NO. I am just concern about my imprint.
She is a tough girl. And YOU know that perfectly well, Jacob Black. And, what’s worst, she might get angry at you for being so overly protective. You can't have Tav beening angry at you again!
I reconsider that for a few sec and a knock at door interrupted my thoughts....
