" Why isn't he here yet? I'm hungry." Leo groans, slamming his hand on the table.

" Maybe he lost track of time, Leo. He just came out of prison a few hours ago, the boy needs some rest." Mother mumbles.

" Go and see if he's awake or not." She says, as two maids run out of the room.

I look down at Sage sitting beside me. She was quiet, as always, just staring down at her plate full of grilled broccoli.

" Sage, do you remember what you have to do when Sean gets here?" I whisper as she nods obediently.

" A-apologize for my. . . my mistakes." She whispers.

" Good girl." I smile, caressing her cheek with my knuckles.

I like this Sage better. She's obedient and so non-problematic. She doesn't even suspect me like typical wives.

She has no idea how many bitches I've fucked behind her back, not even Giana. Giana is always whoring around near me but Sage, she doesn't know shit about it.

" Hi. Hey guys, I'm so sorry. I overslept." Sean ran into the dining room.

" That's alright, brother. We understand. Had a good sleep?." Sofia smiles at him.

" Well no. My stomach doesn't understand anything. Can I eat now?" Leo says, raising an eyebrow.

" Before that, Sage wants to say something." I say, tugging Sage to stand up.

She stumbles out of her chair, walking up to Sean. Sean throws me a glance before looking up at Sage.

" Hi Sage. You look pretty." He smiles at her.

" I w-want to say sso-sorry. Pl-please forgive me." Sage stutters, staring down at the floor.

" I've forgiven you long ago, Sage. You were young and immature back then and everyone makes mistakes, someone has to be the wise one. I hope we can be friends." Sean says.

Sage looks back at me, staring at me for consent. That's my good girl.

I nod as she turns towards Sean, nodding her head.

" Come here." Sean chuckles, pulling her into a hug. Sean wraps his arms around Sage, mumbling something into her ear before they break apart.

" Well, everything is sorted. Let's eat." Mother says, as Sage returns back to her seat. Sean sits beside her, winking at me.

" We b-became friends." Sage mumbles, looking up at me.

" Good." I say as a small smile breaks on her face.

I pick up my fork, digging into my dinner. After so many years, everyone seemed genuinely happy, especially my mother. I would do anything to keep her happy now, she has suffered enough.

Giana and Sofia's giggles begun growing loud, irritating the hell out of me. I blew out a loud sigh, glaring up at them but they were busy looking at my wife, murmuring something to themselves and giggling again.

Sage sat there unbothered, chewing her food quietly. She didn't have any utensils in her hand but I could see a piece of broccoli that she clutched in her hand. She's eating with her hands! Damn, is she fucking two years old!?

" Sage, do you want a piece of steak?" I leaned in, whispering into her ear.

She shook her head, placing another broccoli in her mouth. She really loves broccoli these days.

" What about chicken or fish?" I mumbled, running my gaze through the dishes on the table. I felt like her personal waiter, helping her decide her food.

" No." she whispers.

" At least use the utensils," I said, trying to control my frustration.

She really loves to make a fool of herself in front of others. Why can't she just fucking behave like normal people?

" What about some mashed potatoes, Sage?" Sean asks, placing his hand on her shoulder.

" No." She whispers, shifting closer to me.

" So, I'm thinking of holding a party." Mother says, cutting the awkward silence in the room.

" Why?" I chuckle, placing some chicken on Sage's plate.

" Since Sean is back, I think we all should celebrate." she smiles.

" He hasn't graduated high school, he's back from jail. I don't think it's something to boast about." Leo mutters.

" I'm not a fucking criminal, Leo." Sean growls.

" Tell that to your prison records, Sean." Leo smirks.

" Leo, enough. Is that any way to talk to your brother?" Mother says, earning a groan from Leo.

I dont have any idea of what the fuck is wrong with this guy. He acts like a Romeo near Sage and a monster near us. Has she seduced him too? Of course, she has. Why would sweet, innocent Leo turn so rude towards us suddenly!?

" As I was saying, I'm throwing a party this weekend. Just to celebrate the return of our Sean and also because it's been years since we've thrown a party." mother says, playing with the food in her plate.

" Don't worry, mother. Everything will go as you like." I say, earning a smile from her.

" Sage," She calls, looking up at Sage.

I turn back at Sage to see her eating her food, completely ignoring us all.

" Sage," mother calls again.

No response. She just sat there eating her food as if we didn't even exist.

" SAGE," Mother's voice increased, yet my wife didn't say a word or even spared us a glance.

" Sage," I whispered, pinching her abdomen.

She jumped from her seat, looking at me with wide eyes before caressing her abdomen.

" Mother is calling you." I faked a smile in front of my family to cover up my rage.

" Never mind." mother shook her head, looking down at her plate.

I stand up, gripping Sage's arm as she looks up at me with confused eyes.

" Sage and I are done so we'll retire to bed. See you all tomorrow." I smile, pulling Sage out of her seat.

" B-but I'm hungry." She whispers.

I ignore her, gripping her forearm tightly as I dragged her to our room. She cried out as I threw her on the bed, closing the door behind me.

" What the fuck were you doing down there?" I screamed.

Sage crawled to the far end of the bed, looking at me with tears pooled in her eyes.

" Answer me! You just love to embarass me, don't you?" I scream earning whimpers from her.

" Ss-ssorry." She stutters.

" I don't want your fucking sorry, Sage. You do know how fucking ugly and unlovable you are, right? I still love you after all that and this is how you repay me, by insulting my mother and making a fool out of me?" I scream as she sobs, hiding her face in the blanket.

" No wonder your mother and Enrique left you. You fucking deserve it." I scream, glaring at her trembling form.

" I'm fucking tired of you, Sage. I can't work, I can't travel, I can't even sleep peacefully because of you. You aren't the centre of my life, it will take me a snap of my fingers to dump you so you better behave your damn self." I was panting by the time I was done screaming at her. She really boils my fucking blood.

" Get out of my sight right now before I do something I will regret." I sigh, slamming my hand on the wall.

" Hades, pp-please." She sobs.

" Go! Take a fucking shower and clean up." I scream as she stumbles out of the bed, running to the bathroom.

Damn, she irritates the hell out of me. How can someone be so fucking dumb!?

At the table full of delicious food, she fucking ate grilled broccoli, that too with her hands. She ignored my mother. Acted like a damn fool!

I sigh, slumping down on the bed. Closing my eyes, I catch my breath, just reflecting back on the things I've just said.

Maybe I was too harsh on her right now. If Sage distances herself from me, she will seek someone else for comfort and that will ruin everything. My manipulation and emoitonal blackmail won't work on her anymore. I can't let that happen.

Oh fuck! I really took all my frustration out on her. I sigh, taking off my blazer and shirt before I walk into the bathroom. She was sitting under the shower, crying her eyes out.

" Sage." I whisper, stepping into the water.

" I'm so sorry, love." I whisper, sitting on the floor near her as she looked up at me with red, teary eyes.

" D-don't leave m-me, please. I-I love you." She sobs, placing her trembling hand on my lap.

" I'll never leave you, Sage. I didnt mean any of it. I'm so sorry." I whisper, kissing her forehead.

" I'm s-sorry." She sobs, hiding her face with her hands.

" No, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, baby." I uttered, pulling her into my lap.

" Don't leave." She whimpered.

" I won't." Cupping her face, I bring my lips to hers.

Her cold lips melt agaisnt mine as she shivers in my hold. I kiss her deeply, pulling the straps of her dress down.

" Hades." She stutters.

" Sshh," Pulling myself from the floor, I pick Sage in my arms, walking into the room. I chuckle, throwing her onto the bed, getting on top of her.

No matter how malicious this girl is, she has the body of a fucking goddess.
