Chapter 11
"I don't understand what you're talking about, mother." Logan took a step back from his mother who was being up close and personal.
"Why is the smell of human all over you?" She asked, puckering her forehead as she scrutinized him from head to toe.
"Can you stop this?" Logan raised his hands in the air in mock surrender, slightly getting offended at his mother's over protectiveness.
"Don't tell me you've been with a-" she stopped in her tracks and widened her eyes when her wolf whispered something to her. "Don't tell me you brought a freaking human here?"
"I might have done a-"
"Oh, no!" She exclaimed and her kakapo flinched, flapping it's wings in the air.
It was a flightless bird that had the looks of a parrot, but it was an owl.
She rushed to her window and pulled her thick, black curtains out of the way so she could take a gander at her surroundings and that was when she spotted her.
"Who is that?" She pointed at the girl with the clearest skin she had ever seen. Her red hair fell to her waist and she had a wandering gaze.
Logan strode to where she was and once he set his eyes on the red head, a warm smile crawled up his face as he stared down at her petit figure with so much love in his eyes.
"Her?" A foreign feeling settled in his heart. "That is my consort, mother."
"You will do no such thing. The ball is still going to hold and you're going to pick someone that isn't human." She stated, her eyebrows moving in rhythm to her words.
"I'm not a child, you can't control me." Logan spat, a low growl struggling to make it out of his throat.
"I've spoken and there's no-"
"Mother, for the sake of the moon goddess," Logan started, anger searing through his veins as he clenched his fist with low growls. "I am no longer a child!"
He banged his fists on the wall and his mother, who he had inherited his anger issues from raised her hand.
"Don't you dare growl at me." She completed her sentence with a slap across his face.
With that, Logan spun on his heels and pivoted out of the room.

Maris
She felt her bowels churn as she waited in front of the palatial building for her so called lemen to walk out from the palace.
Lemen. Her subconscious muttered and she chuckled, straightening her gown that she had rumpled, while sleeping last night.
Instantly, the palace doors wide enough for two big elephants to pass through at the same time flung open and Logan dashed out, his black hair all over the place.
He ran passed her, causing Maris to wear a dazed frown on her face.
"Logan!" She yelled, contemplating on running after him.
Run after him.
A voice as light as a feather instructed softly and she succumbed to it. Her feet took slow steps forward before she started to run, increasing her speed the farther she went.
Logan pulled up short once he reached where appeared to be a dead end and breathed heavily with a rising and falling chest. He bent and planted his palms on his knees to catch his breath, while Maris watched from afar. The volcano that erupted in him didn't stop and he needed to get away before soaking people in the lava of his anger.
Suddenly, he glanced over his shoulder and Maris hid behind a tree. He returned his gaze to his front and raised his hand to the sky with a red crystal secured in his palm.
There was a green light that shone from the sky and connected north, south, east and west. He muttered some things and a portal that led to the world Maris assumed to be earth opened.
Just as Logan jumped through the portal, Maris ran as fast as she could and jumped through the same portal. She landed on the hard ground with twigs and dry grasses.
What was happening, why was the earth looking so malnourished? She scanned the area then tried to get on her feet, but couldn't, something had clutched her ankle. She rubbernecked at her ankle and saw it was held by the portal. She pulled herself, it released her leg and disappeared.
"Now, where's Logan?" She got to her feet and clapped her hands to dust them.
Something zoomed past her, causing the wind to slap her in the face, she closed her eyes and saw a big wolf running. She was terrified as she thought of the vicious things it could do to her.
Again, it zoomed past her and halted in it's tracks. It turned and locked gazes with Maris. She knew those blue eyes wherever she saw them, they belonged to none other than Logan.
His canines shot out and he ran away on all four of his paws.
"Logan, wait up!" She ran after him, yelling breathlessly.
He pulled up short at the end of a cliff and roared, ushering the birds out of their trees. He roared again and Maris bent to catch her breath as she studied him from the corners of his eyes.
"Logan," she said his name, standing upright. "Dearie?"
"Go away." He ordered, but Maris was a pretty stubborn one. She moved forward, hope springing up in her heart that she could calm him down.
"Logan, breathe." She held her hands up, slowly making it to where he was. "Calm down, nothing worths your anger."
He took in deep breaths.
"Imagine you're in a stream," she said, placing her hands on his shoulders from behind and massaging them softly. "Close your eyes, lose yourself and listen to the flowing stream."
Logan's muscles relaxed and he did as he was told, her voice soothed his soul and turned off the volcano that had erupted in him. He changed back into his human form and Maris hugged him, whispering things to calm him even more.
"She wants to control everything that goes on in my life." Logan stated, staring into nothingness. "I'm no longer a kid, I'm the alpha."
He banged his fist on his chest and anger flared out of his nose as he said, "She even slapped me and she-"
Maris cut him short when she realized he was beginning to get upset again.
"Think about the stream." She whispered into his ear and spun him so she could lock gazes with him. "Look into my eyes and calm down."
She cupped his cheeks and felt all the hair at the back of her neck standing. Slowly, he pulled her in for a hug with his hands secured around his waist. Her stomach tied itself into knots.
"Maris?" He called.
"Hmm?" She cocked up a brow and pulled back her head so she could see his face.
"Let's get married." He spat and her eyes widened in disbelief.
"What?" She asked, her heart skipping a beat.
"Yes, you heard me. Be my Luna." He urged, holding both her hands and placing a thousand and one kisses on them.
"I-I-"
Logan burst out into laughter, walking away from the cliff with his hand caressing his stomach.
"What's funny?" She followed him, slightly irritated.
"You should have seen your face." He pointed out between laughs and jumped down to one of the rocks that led to a water fall.
"What do you mean?"
"I was just joking." He opened his arms for her to jump down. She did and he caught her, taking her down the place, while carrying her bridal style. "You should also shower, you stink."
Maris gasped, heat crawling up her cheeks as she mentally sniffed her armpits. With that, Logan threw her into the shallow part of the river and jumped in.

Dracula
"Master," his new follower bowed.
Dracula flinched, shielding a locket that he had been staring at for ages in his wide palms and shoved it into his pocket.
"I found the girl." The follower stated and Dracula wore a small smile.
"Where?" Dracula sat up, adrenaline rushing through his veins.
"The Ufeli forest, master. Roaming around with a wolf boy." The follower dressed in a big, black garment answered and Dracula's smile grew wider.
