My mum announced that we will be getting jamb forms,there's no way I'm going to let that happen,time to enter her bad book.

"Mummy,I don't want to write jamb....."I stated with a little bit of fear.

"You will write next year then since you aren't ready."She replied.

"No,I don't want to write jamb because I don't want to study in Nigeria..."

"Then you will go to Ghana."

"No,mum,I want to study abroad..."

"There's no money for that!."

"There is but you don't want to put your pride and stubbornness aside for your kids."

"Michelle!, why are you being selfish?!."Mason yelled.

"What do you mean by I'm selfish?!."I yelled back.

"You are just like him,you don't think about anybody,you think I don't know why you want to study in Nigeria so bad!." He argued.

"I'm talking to my mother not you so stay out of this...mummy,studying in the US will be better than Nigeria,you know the academic situation in this country,ASUU strike and all that....mum.. please,dad got the cash,I'm his child,I have every right to use his money,it will be unfair if his other family gets it all.."I pleaded.

"I won't let him sponsor your education."She replied.

"Mum..."

"That's enough...you are going to get jamb forms tomorrow,I don't care,you are scared of ASUU strike then you will go to private university,pick any one of your choice."

"I don't want to go there, private university is like boarding school..."

"So you want to freedom to misbehave?!."She barked at me which made me flinch.

"No....why can't you just end this,he's my dad and I'm his child,he wants to sponsor my education since you have been doing that for us since secondary school,he's trying to lift the heavy weight on your shoulders."

"Did she tell you she's complaining,it's funny how you can switch sides from mum to dad all because of a guy."Mason said.

"A guy?."My mum asked him.

"Oh,so this is about Walker's son."She nodded her as she thought.

"No,it's not.."

"Enough,I have had enough,I'm your mother and father and you will obey me,you are not going to take any offer especially from that man."

"Mum,why does it always have to be about you,I hardly get what I want,it's always your choice,what about what I want?."I cried.

"Enough with the question!."She silenced me.

"Earlier you realize that you are studying in Nigeria,the better for you,let this statement sink into that your dumb brain."Mason stated.

"Shut up!,you are the cause of everything,you have always been the rebel in this family,you were the one who always made dad angry,here you are acting like a saint as if you didn't make us bankrupt at a time when you wasted money on useless things,the main reason why dad got tired of us and always passed the blame on mum was you!,stop acting like we don't know all these things....you..."I got slapped by my mum before I could finish my statement.

"How dare you bring up the past?!,all because of what?!, Mason was still foolish then,your father wasn't patient enough or had time to discipline him."My mum made an excuse.

"Yeah,I got slapped because I spoke bad of your favorite child,he was foolish?!,his foolishness cost you your marriage,it cost me the chance of having a nice father-daughter relationship, I'm not supporting him because I know he was violent but it was because of Mason,your son."I cried.

"I hate you so much."I told my brother.

"The feeling is mutual."He replied coldly.

"Ughh!!!!."I yelled before attacking him.

I pushed him on the chair,he wrestled to get me off him,I bit him badly,giving him a terrible mark,my mum was at my back trying to separate us while Maya was screaming,he gave me a heavy slap on my back,I didn't stop I scratched his face with my sharp nails,he groaned.

"Stop it!."Myles yelled from behind.

His voice made everyone look at him,beside him was a beautiful damsel,the first thing that caught my eyes was the rings on their fingers.

I got pulled away from Mason by Myles,"Why did you injure him?!."

"What happened here?."

"They got into an argument about studying abroad and about dad."Maya replied the general question.

"Seriously?!."

"Mum,why can't you just let her or them take Dad's offer,it's been years,you are a Christian, forgiveness is a virtue,just let go."He looked at my mum.

"I will consider it."My mum replied reluctantly.

"Michelle,you shouldn't have done this to your twin,you guys would have been civil and Mason,you shouldn't have angered your sister."

He sighed,"We are sorry."Mason and I apologized at the same time.

I was deeply sorry for the things I said about Mason,I just triggered his PTSD.

"Good,now,I want to introduce my fiancee to the family,babe,I'm so sorry that you had to witness this,my family can be crazy sometimes,we aren't perfect."He laughed and she giggled.

"This is Jayda,my wife to be,Jayda meet my mum,the twins,Mason and Michelle,Maya,our last born."He introduced.

"Nice to meet you."She smiled,she looked like a model.

"Awnnn,congratulation,I'm so happy for you,son."She hugged them.

"Welcome to the family,so when do we meet your parents?."My mum asked her.

"About that,you will have to go with Dad to meet her parents so...you will have to do this for me."He pleaded.

"Don't worry, anything for my son,I won't let my pride affect your marriage."She smiled at them.

"Hey God o!!,my son wants to get married,Thank you Jesus, wow,she's such a pretty girl,my son,you picked well."She laughed.

I rolled my eyes and walked out and climbed the stairs to my room,I was happy for my brother but I was angry with my mum and other brother, my mum could do anything for her sons but not her daughters, Mason was the one who made mum this way,I slammed the door in anger as I got in,they think I want to study abroad because of him,they are right but it's not only that,I need a change of environment,I want be far away from family drama,I don't want any Lucas or Cassandra around me,I need another bestfriend that's not Olivia,I sighed as I fell on my bed,I hoped she will understand and change her mind,I decided not wait instead I picked my phone to call my dad.

Few months later......

I just finished my external exams,WAEC,I didn't bother to write NECO since it can't be used outside Nigeria,my dad and brother managed to convince my mum and she agreed,I was so happy,my relationship has been going well,we are just waiting for our admission letter,Jace and I applied for NYU,Mason applied for a Canadian university that I didn't bother to know it's name since we haven't been on talking terms,well,that's not our problem,Jace will be my roommate,the thought of that made me so happy,yeah,I almost forgot,today is a big day for my brother,he's getting married,I was looking at my mirror while the makeup artist did her magic on my face,I couldn't recognize myself when she was done.

"Wow,I'm looking so charming and attractive,thanks,you are so good,wow!."I thanked her and admired myself in the mirror.

I stood up carefully so I won't tear my pink short penciled gown,I grabbed my purse and went downstairs,Jace,Kim,Maya,Mason,Leo,Lucas and Olivia were in the living room,yeah,you heard and read this right,I decided to let go of the past and stop acting weird and awkward around them so I decided to start new beginning with Lucas and Olivia,that's why I invited them,my mum left the house since,we were late for the church ceremony.

Jace walked up to me,"Wow.....ba..be,you are looking....damn...I can't find the word."He stuttered as he got lost in my eyes.

"We are getting late before you two will start acting like the bride and groom."I heard Mason's voice.

We got to the church and we were damn late,"You may now kiss the bride...."The priest said and the crowd went wild by clapping and my brother and my sister in law had the hottest kiss.

I looked at Jace and I wanted to eat him out,my sister in law was looking more beautiful than ever in her wedding gown,I imagined myself in a wedding gown and Jace in Tuxedo.

We left the church and got into the car and drove to the reception venue,the decorations were beautiful and the hall was big,the cake was gigantic,the couple changed their clothes,we were in a big round table with a tag,"Groom's family."

We ate alot,the cake was so sweet,the couple gave us mad dance moves,the chief bride's maid and best man gave us hot hot,the DJ was too notch,the guests sprayed alot of money,infact two Ghana must go bag might get filled to the brim with money,we danced and took pictures,it was a happy day for our family except my dad's new family because we stole our dad away from them.

Few months later...

"Happy birthday!!!."The voices woke me up instantly, I opened my eyes to see my mum,sister and Jayda all smiling at me.

"Happy birthday,my baby."My mum placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Thanks guys."I smiled at them and they all hugged me.

"Where's the other birthday celebrant?."I asked them.

"Oh,he's in the living room checking out gifts."Jayda replied.

"Gifts?!,oh my gosh."I stood up and ran out of my room,I could hear their giggles as I left.

There were alot of gifts in the living room,so much and they all had names tags,from and for.

"Happy birthday,ogre."Mason grinned.

"Happy birthday,dragon."I grinned back at him.

He spread his hands for a hug and I went in for the bear hug since he is tall.

"Happy birthday,cat and rat."Myles smiled as he brought in more gifts.

I was carried away by the gifts that I didn't see the beautiful decor in the living room, there were red balloons and ribbons everywhere,then golden alphabet balloons that was arranged in "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINS."

Everywhere was red and beautiful,"Dad got me PS5 and iPhone 11 pro max,blast!!!,I forgive him!."He announced and we all laughed.

I opened my dad's box of gifts,there was a beautiful apple laptop inside with an iPhone 11 pro max with a note:Happy birthday,my princess.

"He got me a new laptop and an iPhone.!,oh my gosh!!, I'm going to pass out"I screamed in excitement.

I opened my mum's gift and it was beautiful box of jewelry.

"Thanks, mum,I love it ."I smiled at her.

The gifts from my friends were birthday cards, chocolates, necklaces,bracelets.

I have alot of jewelry collection now.

The door opened and Jace walked in with his gifts,the first thing that caught my eyes was the big teddy bear,I ran and grabbed it from him.

"Happy birthday, muffin."He placed a kiss on my lips.

"Thanks,babe."I smiled as I held my teddy bear.

"These are for you."He passed me my gifts.

"Happy birthday,bro."He shook Mason and they did their bro hug.

He also got a gift for Mason,I think PS CDs,hoodie and tees.

I opened the box and there was a beautiful long body wave wig in a transparent nylon.

"Oh my God,it's so beautiful....."I gasped in excitement.

There was also a beautiful customized necklace and bracelet with a beautiful gown and lots of chocolates.

I ran and jumped on his body,"I love them."

"I'm glad,you do."

My mum and my sisters weren't in the living room,they were in the kitchen,the scent of party jollof was everywhere.

"Mmmmmm...yummy..."I enjoyed the aroma with my noise.

"I got in."Jace whispered.

My eyes shone,"Huh?."

"I got into NYU."

"Shut....up...!!,I'm so happy for you!."I hugged him.

"Let's check yours."

"Oh,my laptop is in my room,come,let's go."I dragged him to my room.

"I'm scared to check, please,check for me."I pleaded,he laughed.

He opened my laptop to check while I closed my eyes and sat on my bed,my heart was racing so fast.

I opened my eyes to see a sad look on his face,the look said it all.

I didn't get in.

"I'm sorry babe........"

A tear escaped my eyes,"I'm sorry that you will be leaving your family to live in New York City with me!."He broke the news in a rush.

My eyes widened,"I got in?!."

"You got in!."He smiled.

I screamed so loud,my family came rushing,"What happened?."

"Is everything alright?."

"Yes,I just got the best birthday gift ever,I got into NYU!!."

"Oh my gosh!!!."

"Thank you,Jesus!."

"Awwnn,I'm so happy for you."

"We both got in."I smiled.

"Couple goals!."

They embraced us in a hug.

I took my bath and got dressed for my birthday party,guests started coming in,our church members,my classmates,our neighbors,we had like 6 cakes set up, chocolate,vanilla,strawberry,cupcakes was also there,jollof rice aroma was in the air with drinks and music,I kept smiling and responding to the birthday wishes.

"Can I get your attention, everyone?!."Jace stood in the middle of the crowd with a glass.

"Today marks another additional year to the life of my two bestfriends,my gee,Mason who stood by me at all times,infact he's no longer my bestfriend,he's my brother and my muffin and girlfriend,Michelle,you are my everything,you brought happiness to my life,I love you..."

"Awnnn..."

"I wanna wish you Happy birthday,many more years to come,I wish you best of Heaven's blessings, everybody, please,let's toast to a new beginning for them,cheers!!!."

"Cheers!!."

The crowd went wild with claps and glass cups toasting each other.

After everybody has gone home and my mum went for her evening/night shift,Myles and Jayda went home,Mason and Kim were together in his room,she decided to sleep over,I'm sure they will commit sin in his room,Jace decided to take me out for more birthday spoils.

We branched ShopRite to get biscuits and icecream for the house,we got back and shared the things we got in.

I took a bottle of champagne and two glass cups,I poured the sparkling wine into the cups.

"So,my baby is now 18,yayy,no more child abuse."He joked.

"I hate you."I gave him a light punch.

"We both know that's a lie,you love me just the way I love you."He winked.

I rolled my eyes,"So we are going to be roommates,that will be interesting."

"Yeah,alot of sex...."He whispered.

"Pervert."

"You like it."

"Shift joor.."

"Toast to a new beginning,a bright beautiful future and an amazing present."He said and we toasted.

I sipped my wine and we made a eye contact,there was sexual tension in the air.

He stood up and leaned in for a kiss,it was magical,his lips seemed softer than ever.

He carried me to my room,my legs wrapped around his waist,he laid me on my bed as he switched the LED lights to red for a more sexual mood.

He took off his shirt and his sexy body was in display.

I took off my clothes and I could see an evil smirk on his charming face.

"I'm so going to give you the best birthday night/gift ever."He said before positioning my legs.

Few weeks later....

"I'm so going to miss you mum,I'm going miss Maya,I'm going miss everybody...."I cried.

"It's okay,my baby,we will face time any time you want, alright."My mum assured me.

We were at the airport,Mason finally got in,he was lucky,he was going to be with Kim,I didn't have any information about Lucas and Olivia but they are good.

"Okay,now,don't miss your flight,be good teens,bye!."She said to us.

We all hugged,I wiped my tears,I was going to miss my family but I'm going to be with Jace, that's a good compensation.

"I love you all."

"We love you too."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I grabbed my things and rolled my box,Jace did the same,I kept looking at them and they waved us goodbye.

I looked at my boyfriend,he smiled and he kept his hand on my shoulders.

"We are going to be together,now and forever."He grinned.

I remembered everything that happened in the past,how I once had a crush on this boy,how I entered a relationship with the wrong person,how I got betrayed by my bestfriends,how I almost died,how my heart got broken and mended by this guy,these experiences taught me lessons,they were both good and bad memories,at last,I got everything I wanted,I got him,I got my dream course,I got my family to reconcile,I got to leave Nigeria to Europe,at last,my high school love story ended well,I hope so.

I smiled at myself and looked at him,once more,I wanted him,I got him,I needed him,he was there all the time,I turned a player to a simp,I made him loyal,I love him so much,once upon a time,I was caught in his web but now,we are both caught in each other's web,not everybody's high school love story ends well but I'm going to be among that 10% that will end well and not in tears,I have a good feeling about that.
