Letting out a groan I grabbed my phone ready to dial his number but before that I got a call from Aarna.

"Yeah Aarna say?"

"Adhyansh bhai is with you right? Actually there is a problem crimson bay caught fire and mom is freaking out then and now. Can you please give phone to bhai so that mom could talk a little as his phone is out of reach" I started shivering hearing her words..

Crimson bay caught fire? It was the same building where Adhyansh has his posh penthouse apartment.

"Aar.na Adhyansh isn't here! He left in morn..ing only" I answered in a go my voice was shaking with fear and anxiety Ayyiappa please keep him safe..

"What he left? How could you let him leave Adwitiya knowing it's raining heavily the roads are blocked waterlogging everywhere" I heard Adhyansh's mom yelling from the other side her voice was full of tension for her son.

"Adwitiya I'll call you later ok" Aarna hung up the call while tears rolled uncontrollably from my cheeks..

Adwitiya can we just stop fighting for a day please

I need a break Adwitiya and I am sure you need it too let's just forget everything for a day no talks about past or future only us and our present

I won't gonna do anything we'll just sit together silently and I will help you preparing breakfast and lunch

His words rang in my ears making me crying mess.. Ayyiappa please keep him safe please..

Wiping the tears I got up grabbing my phone and bag I couldn't sit here like this I had to check on him. Locking my room I walked to the dad's room placing a kiss on his forehead I said to the aunty "Aunty I am leaving please take care of dad I'll try to be back soon"

"Adwitiya didn't you see the weather it's so scary and you want to go out right now?" The concern was totally visible in her voice.

"Aunty I'll manage it's important you stay here and lock the door from inside" Saying I walked out taking the umbrella. My tears weren't stopping as I made my way towards the elevator.

"Adwitiya?" I turned hearing the voice "where are you going right now? It's not safe to go outside" it was rahul.

"I have to go Rahul crimson bay caught fire where Adhyansh lives" I answered and about to walked inside when his voice stopped..

"I won't let you go like all alone just wait for a min I am coming in an min taking my car keys" He was indeed a good friend of mine..

"Rahul it's ok I'll manage" I tried to deny his offer.. "Look Adwitiya this time you wouldn't be getting any taxi or cab and if you are thinking I'll let you go alone then you are wrong so wait here for a min"

"Stop freaking out he'll be fine" I heard Rahul saying while I rubbed my palms together praying for him the thunderstorms were occuring then and now the voices of the wind and rain was so dangrous with water logging everywhere and it was making it difficult for Rahul to drive..

I tried to call Aarna but my mobile network choose to ditch me this time..

After like a drive of 1 hour we finally reached Crimson Bay it was so crowded the numerous police vans ambulance as well as fire engine was there..

I was shivering by the scenario of it the unknowing fear rose in me making it difficult for me to breathe.. why the fuck I told him leave? It was his birthday and I myself wanted to spend time with him but then I messed up everything..

I didn't want anything to happen to with him he was my life and he still is.

"Adwitiya let's go out we can't sit here" Rahul said snapping me out of my thoughts I nodded and stepped out opening my umbrella and folding my jeans up and he did the same..

I spot Aarna at instant she was standing with her mom and Tripti.. Mrs Aneja were talking to police or we could say yelling at the police to let her in..

"Aarna?" Taking long strides I walked towards her.. "Adwitiya you here?" She was shocked seeing me.

"Where is Adhyansh? Is he still inside" I asked taking a deep breath..

"Just let me in Inspector my son is inside I don't want anything happen to him" His mother yelled at the inspector.. "Sorry Mrs Aneja this is the serious matter 80% of this penthouse building caught fire and I can't let you in like this we are trying to rescue everyone so please wait here"

"This all happened because of you Adwitiya and If something happens to my son then you will see the worst in me" She threatened making me scared while my hold around the umbrella tightened...

She wasn't saying anything wrong I was at fault.. I wasn't in a sane state of mind when I told him to leave.

"Rahul listen" I dragged him to the other side away from the police "I need to go inside I just can't stay here"

"Adwitiya are you out of your mind can't you see it's so dangerous to go" Rahul said shaking his head in no.. "This isn't a film or a daily soap drama Adwitiya that you will go inside and save him it's real life think sanely" He tried to put some senses in me..

"I can't Rahul I can't wait here just because of me he is in this situation I told him to leave my house it was my mistake" I yelled with tears rolling down from my cheeks.."If something happens to him then I will never be able to forgive myself he meant so much to me Rahul" I sobbed harder..

"Hey Hey Adwitiya please stop crying let's go inside we'll save him okay?" He cupped my cheeks wiping my tears..

I shook my head in no "No you stay here it's dangerous I will go all alone you just have to help me to get in from backside" he already did so much for me and now I didn't want him to get hurt because of me.

"You mad? You think I will let you go alone inside huh? I am accompanying you" before I could start again he put the full stop "End of the discussion"

Sighing in defeat I nodded.. "We need to go from that side okay? Without making any noise" I heard rahul whispering in my ear..

We walked to the backside of the building heading towards the backdoor by now we both were drenched in rain as we left our umbrella not wanting to get caught..

We sighed in relief as we successfully walked inside the building.. "We need to make it quick" he nodded and we ran upstairs crossing the first 10 floors in just few mins by now we were huffing like a bull..

The fire has caught from 11th floor and Adhyansh stayed in the 22th floor..

"Let's go" I took a deep breath and then climbed the stairs there were now way we could climb anymore to the way of 12th floor as it was fire everywhere and way to dangerous.. Ayyiappa please do something.

"SOMEBODY HELP" wait ? It was his voice it was my Adhyansh's voice.. "Ra..Rahul did you hear the voice it's Adhyansh's voice rahul I know it" I was looking here and there trying to spot him..

"It's coming from there" Rahul pointed towards the particular direction and we ran towards it..

And there he was stuck with two senior citizens..

"Adwitiya what the hell you doing here shit" I freaked out seeing him.. "Adhyansh" my eyes welled up with tears again seeing him standing infront of me . He was fine he was safe.

"No no no don't come here stay there only" He said when he saw me taking steps towards him..

I stopped abruptly hearing his command "Adhyansh why are you standing there just come we need to leave it's dang..erous" my voice was loud yet it was shaking..

"Adwitiya you see I can't leave them like this they are like my family and their grandchildren and children escaped leaving them here" He said pointing towards the old man who was sitting beside his wife may be who was already fainted..

"Rahul and Adwitiya listen you need to take them out there is one baby as well who stuck upstairs I have to save her" Adhyansh said as he walked towards me such a filmy scene because the other side of the floor caught fire..

"Adhyansh police are here right? They will rescue the baby we need to leave now" I didn't know what I was saying because that moment I wanted my Adhyansh to be safe..

"Adwitiya are you out of your mind? There is a small baby stuck upstairs and I can't leave like this right? I have to save him" I flinched at his sudden loud and harsh voice "Listen" he cupped my tears strained face "You go outside with the Rahul taking them I'll be back in few mins please" He said softly..

"No I am getting so scared" I moved back shaking my head "This isn't the time to get scared Adwitiya we can't waste time here wiping each other's tears I didn't tell you come here you came by yourself and now you have to leave" He scolded me like I was a baby to him.

"Fine but come back soon" I nodded and wiped my tears again..

Rahul picked the old lady in his arms who fainted and I held the hand of old man and descended the stairs slowly helping them..

Once we reached the ground floor I turned towards Rahul "Rahul I know now you can handle it so bye" without waiting for his answer I ran upstairs again..

Adhyansh's pov..

Wasn't she the same girl who kicked me out of her house in the morning.. Oh how much I wanted to spend a day with her but I guess I didn't deserve it after all I did worst with her.. With a severe headache and bad weather I somehow drove to my place and first thing I did was to gulped down the painkillers and dumped myself on the couch and sleep engulfed me.

I wokeup with a call on my phone and hearing the fire alarm shit shit shit and that's how landed in this tragic situation I would've escaped at first but I choose to help some people because they were freaking out and at last I stucked with grandpa and granny they weren't any blood related but they were super caring towards me and their children and grandchildren escaped leaving them alone..

And now Adwitiya did a stunt of coming here with Rahul damnn she was one hell of a complex woman.. I send her off with granny and grandpa..

"Hey baby stop crying you'll be fine ok" I said to the 3 year old toddler as I picked her in my arms and climbed down the stairs hugging her tightly and in this way my skin of my arms and ankle burnt just wow..

"What the fuck you are doing here?" I was shocked seeing Adwitiya ascending the stairs again.. This woman wanted to do some stunts and action movies I guess..Ughh I wanted to bang my own head on the wall.

"I didn't want to leave you alone"She meekly answered and held my hand "wow lady you want to make your grilled chicken I guess" I mocked as we made our way down the stairs..

My eyes widened seeing the iron rod which was about to fell "Shit Adwitiya watch out" I turned shielding her as I hugged her tight with the baby crushing between us and it fell on my back and an earth shattering scream left from my lips as it burned the skin of my back..

What a filmy scene!!

"Adhyansh oh shitt" She panicked and took the baby from me as I wasn't able to balance myself "I am fine I am fine we need to leave" We somehow reached the ground floor and that's when my knees gave up and visions blurred as I blacked out I knew I wouldn't be dying because the rod burned my skin it didn't pierced my skin..Such an adventurous birthday of mine it was! Happy 27th birthday Aneja!
